  2. 1974 vintage, no silly safety. Original rear sight missing, but shoots waaaay better with the peep anyway! I bought this year's ago, sold it, then bought it back on here & other than 1 range trip, it's never left the house. Everywhere I hunt, these days, is way beyond .30-30 range. Time for someone else to enjoy it! Comes with +/- 100 rounds of mixed factory & my reloads (150 & 170gr) a set of Lee dies & whatever bullets I can find. $700 for the lot.

  3. Up for sale is my Sears Ted Williams Model 100 lever action. It is chambered in .30-30. It’s basically a Winchester model 94. I’m guessing it’s mid-70’s. I picked this up from Chance77 in 2022. It came with the side plate for the scope. I added the vintage Aimsport scope. I did refinish the wood. The factory finish was meh and the walnut turned out great with a hand rubbed oil finish. I sighted it in last fall and it shoots great. Asking $600. For sale to Tennessee residents who can legally own a firearm. Located in Nashville.

  4. Seems every one of the leaders for security forces is making excuses and deflecting blame. If this report is correct, the entire scenario is unacceptable. I'd have several people's a$$e$ hung out to dry. Charges of criminal negligence seem to be in order but DOJ are the only ones able to do it and we know where that will go.

  10. Eh, it’s using really round numbers with the total number of ARs in circulation divided into the total population. Considering how many folks own multiple ARs, it’s probably much a lower ownership rate.

  13. I used to EDC a Springfield XD Compact in 9mm, I sold it and switched to a CZ P07 in 9mm but currently, and my current favorite is a Beretta 81BB chambered in 7,65 Browning. A good holster and a great belt make a big difference. You have to find what works for you and sometimes be willing to change if needed.

  14. Not to be funny or get off the subject but today I visited a favorite pawn shop of mine that is also a gun shop. They just got in a new , brand new rifle that the manager pulled out of the box and opened in front of me and showed me. It was a Sig Sauer rifle with the picture of Trump holding his fist just after he'd been shot ! LOL . I swear I would have seen a T-shirt printed with it before a rifle LOL But no , it was a rifle ! LOL . This incident just happened a few days ago !

  20. Well, in my original post, I mentioned a competent rifleman, not a zit face duffer. But for the sake of argument, let's say Trump's head presented an 8" target. When he turned his head, he reduced the target area to maybe 6", so Crooks was already 2" from completely missing his 8" target. At 125 yards, a 6" circle is about 5.25 MOA. Miscalculating the distance would have minimal effect on elevation (unless he had some crazy 500 yard zero) and none on windage. Missing a 5.25 MOA target that close three times from a rest probably ain't gonna win the next F-class match. Just sayin'

  22. An AR with the appropriate bullet is more than enough to do the job at 130 yards. It’s not about the type of rifle. It was about just being a lousy shot.

  23. I am starting down the list to call and ask them why they are receiving donations from such organizations if they are such strong supporters if the 2nd as they claim, if they plan on returning the donations, and if not, how they reconcile that with who they claim to be. I'm sure the answers will be enlightening. (There's your joke for the day)

  25. I roll my eyes at pretty much every conspiracy theory I hear, but there’s just too much wrong here. I don’t think Crooks was sent by the Iranians, but maybe SS has become a bunch of crackheads, maybe the DEI chickens came home to roost, or maybe lapses in security were intentional. Or maybe all of the above. The people currently in charge have above and beyond hatred for Trump and I can’t ignore any possible explanation at this point. Some 20 year old dork making the world’s premier executive protection outfit look like the Three Stooges on live tv just doesn’t add up.

  26. Diversity Equity Inclusion these programs are based on the idea that a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace will result in better outcomes for businesses and policy. In theory it’s a very innocuous sounding and positive idea. In reality, they are built on social Marxism and anti-white racism. it’s basically affirmative action on steroids and grifters like Ibram X Kendi and Robin D’Angelo make bank on their corporate and governmental agency workshops, pushing the BS. It’s also the reason universities have gone completely insane and companies like Disney can’t put out a quality product to save their life.

  27. We could argue policy forever, and that's fine. We could also discuss social graces. I get it. There are two things Trump has done for us that would be hard to dispute by anyone honest. 1) He made the Supreme Court have a majority of judges who can actually read and accurately discern our constitution. 2) He has shined a giant spotlight on just how slimy and scandalous D.C. politicians really are. I suspected it before Trump, but not it is crystal clear.

  28. Awesome! But that's not what the Democrats try to send to the white house.

  29. You're talking about Trump right? Your entire statement fits Biden 100%. This makes me believe you would of rather had Hillary, which we would have had if not for Trump in 16', and look what we got in 20'. Take the blinders off and stop letting your feels interfere with your brain, Trump may be rough around the edges but his 16' presidency was great policy wise and expect a better one in 25'.

  31. Replace Trump with Biden in your statement and that's how I feel about the Democrats. Why can't the Democrats put up less progressive people so we can get stuff done? It's because nobody is really in the middle anymore. On either side.

  32. I'm beginning to wonder. So many obvious dumb mistakes, changing members of Trump's security detail at the last minute when they had been warned of a valid threat, failure to notice the guy with a gun. Its almost as if they weren't really concerned with protecting Trump. Is anybody else thinking this or am I just nuts?

  35. Tercel89 - The early production 7-round .357 GP-100 revolvers had a problem seating the 7th round with some brands of ammunition. In other words, the chambers were so close together that the cartridge rims would not all fit. Don't know if Ruger corrected that later on, but look into that before buying a 7 round GP-100.

  36. Honestly, I never cared for the GP-100. The thing has the ergonomics of a brick. Never felt comfortable in my hands. But that's just me. However, I'm a huge fan of the older "Six" Series DA revolvers and own 3 of them. You have nothing to fear. Rugers are built like a tank. I doubt if you could hurt one if you tried.
