  1. Great condition, aluminum frame. Original owner, I believe it has less than 100 rounds through it. I put on a set of Altamont rosewood grips. Comes with DeSantis Slim Tuck holster.

  2. I’m absolutely loving this resurgence of the HiPower. It’s making me think of a number of years back when various manufacturers started making their own 1911s.

  5. No. I lost all sense of reason the week before and splurged on a new SA-35.

  6. Knoxville’s own SDS Imports now has a new line of Turkish Hi Powers under the “Inglis” brand name. That name might just be bootlegged, but the offerings look good, as does the price. I saw one of the color case hardened versions the other day and it was a sight to behold. Shop - Inglis - Inglis Firearms - SDS Imports LLC

  8. I suspect that if the shooter were some neo-nazi who shot up a minority school, all this hand-wringing and stonewalling about a manifest wouldn't exist. And a week later it would be Trump's fault.

  10. I’m mostly interested in preventing something like this from ever happening again in the future. If there is something in those notes that could help with that, I think keeping them locked away is an injustice. I cannot begin to imagine the grief those involved live with every day, but I’d think they’d want to prevent a repeat of this as well.

  11. The difference in me and you ( and the families ) is, Indeed, that I'm not " intimately involved "... That, I will grant. I can ( and do ) have empathy for them. That said, I believe that this is an issue of substantial public safety interest having considerable, social, political, professional, and institutional ramifications that does not need to be hidden nor swept under the rug under the guise of protecting the feelings of those involved. Those " involved " will, sadly never recover from this tragedy; and I understand that. That does not lessen the need for these issues not to be fully aired. leroy...

  12. With all due respect; let me translate this pronouncement: " We know best, how dare you ask these impertinent questions "..! It's the usual " Were experts n we know best. You are not mature nor smart enough to ask these impudent questions "... Some institutions and possibly personalities are being protected here, and it ain't the devastated families who lost loved ones here; nor the blueprints n floorplans of the Covenant School. I find the " morbidly curious " pronouncement to be a bit over the top. When you do that; you've moved from debate to defamation. That's never a good look. The questioning the details of what this poor demented child thought with an eye toward prevention of these tragedies is, in my view, a reasonable and fair question to be answered in the public forum. Your mileage obviously varies. leroy...

  16. In case you haven’t noticed, our government, as well as the media, have recently proven themselves quite untrustworthy. This, coupled with the fact so many folks are adamant the public not see this material makes me think that something very bad is being covered up.

  17. Because it is a bunch of lefty, commie pukes that live in that state voted it all in. I know there are some very right, leaning constitutional people that live in the state as well, but because of the way people vote in the large cities they’re allowed to make policy for the entire state. As far as you have houses there, sell them things and get out. If you wanna shoot go to Arizona.

  19. I purchased this about 6 months ago. I've flown it a few hours total and never crashed it. Everything essentially looks new. It's the exact kit shown here. I added the 2-Year DJI Refresh Insurance/Protection. It started in January of this year. From my research, it appears to be tied to the drone and not the owner so it should be considered "transferable". This was an additional cost of $125.00 on top of the purchased of the drone and is still roughly 75% still in use. I'm open to trades and partial trades or cash. $1,100 asking, but any serious trade or cash offer will be considered. I'll ship this drone if needed. Interested in: Glock 19 Gen 5 Glock 17 Gen 5 Ruger GP-100 Stainless 6" .357 CZ-75 Variants Possibly .22lr rifles/pistols Canon EF 85mm f/1.4L or possibly other nice Canon lenses Maybe anything else, don't be afraid to ask.

  26. Because it's working SO well for them, there. There are hardly any shootings at all in LA, SF, and their other metropolitan areas, right? One of my buddies lives in the Sacramento area and was turned down on an ammo purchase recently. It turned out that it was because he'd not purchased any in "x" number of years. He had to go through the background check again to buy a box of .380 ACP. I don't know how people there put up with it. My home state, Washington, is rapidly catching up. I'm so glad to live in Tennessee now!

  27. I think over the years, I’ve had 3. They’re good, but never was something I was just totally enamored with. I think it was the rate of weight to size, in all instances. Just too heavy to be a true pocket pistol for me. I think a 3” might make a good belt gun, though.

  29. "The right to keep arms, necessarily involves the right to purchase them, to keep them in a state of efficiency for use, and to purchase and provide ammunition suitable for such arms, and to keep them in repair. And clearly for this purpose, a man would have the right to carry them to and from his home, and no one could claim that the Legislature had the right to punish him for it, without violating this clause of the Constitution."

  30. I remember a former Speaker of the House, Beth Harwell, who claimed the mantle of Conservative and never once voted in favor of a 2nd Amendment piece of legislation. She supported the Democrat Governor when he vetoed the Guns in Bars Bill, she voted twice on the floor two years in a row against it and voted then to sustain his veto two years in a row. Makes me leery of those who toss that modifier about.

  31. I purchased an SP 101 when they first came out. Really liked it but was heavy and stout. My daughter wanted a small revolver so I gave it to her. Someone broke into their house and took it. I believe they (Sherriff Dept) recovered it for her. Some of her stuff she never recovered. I really liked the SP 101. Fired about 400 rounds through it before giving it to my daughter. I am thankful they have since purchased gun safes, and good burglar alarm to add a couple more levels to their house and gun security.

  34. Time for old fashioned style bbqq cooking. Burn barrel and pit with lots of oak wood slabs. I got a few pork shoulders and some thick cut pork belly. Going to keep it going for 12 hrs. It's hard on the back bending over and shoveling wood every hour but worth it. I'll try to post some pictures of it when it's done.

  35. This is an epic decision, it effects every single alphabet agency there is. It is NOT retroactive, sadly. What it will do is create an imbalance between those that have been impacted by these wrongful determinations to take all of this to the Courts. It will also create a huge market for judge shopping which sucks all around

  36. I saw these as these as well. Even if she said something different at this point, I believe her past actions speak volumes. She didn't even just say it to a group of leftists, she wrote an open letter and distributed it.

  37. OK, I've done a little bit of looking on her. She was one of those calling on Gov. Lee to hold his laughable "special session" on gun violence in 2022. Here's a fine quote from her: "It shouldn't require more education and licensure to drive a vehicle that was designed for transportation than to get a gun that was designed for the sole purpose of killing." And this: "We've reached a place where nowhere is safe." More info here -- Nashville Councilmember Courtney Johnston wants special session on guns - Axios Nashville She wouldn't be getting my vote, unless her only opponent was Hillary Clinton.
