My mistake, I meant would my training for the VA CCW be accepted by TN. Here is a response straight from the TN Dept. of Safety. I sent them an email yesterday afternoon and they responded this morning, that's impressive for a state agency, but I'm learning not unusual for TN. As an aside, I spent the last few days meeting with water and electric utility, as well as soil testing and TN Dept. of Env. folks, and everyone has been incredibly friendly and helpful. Your valid Virginia CCW permit exempts you from our training course for the Concealed Carry Permit; however; it would not for our Enhanced. Our Enhanced permit allows you to carry open or concealed where the Concealed Carry Permit is just what is says, you can only carry concealed. I got an H&K SL8-6 not long ago from a member here. I did some research on what parts to get to make a "Poor man's" G36, I was going to send it to Tommy Built but he's not accepting any work. So I searched around and found some parts to get started with, just need a couple of more parts and send the SL8-6 Bolt out to be modified to a G36 Bolt to be able to use P-Mags and the H&K dbl. Stack Mags along with a G36 MagWell, a orginal G36 Bolt is $400+ and modify the original SL8-6 $100 so I'll go that route. Got the Stock in and the HDPS Stock Block also got a Tommy Built G36 Lower that takes AR 15 Triggers, I went with a Geissele SD-E Flat Trigger. Just got done fitting the Lower, need to work on the Stock Block a little and it will be good to go, then make sure that the Geissele Hammer clears everything inside if not then a little fitting will take care of that. Here's some of the parts, I'll post as I go along. Thanks for looking.

Pretty simple. You meet another TN resident that you have reason to believe and professes that they are legal to own a firearm. You trade or sell them a gun. That is the law's requirement. Id viewing and bill of sales make some people feel better but are not required.

Got most of it done, not sure about the stock I may change it out to another style. Everything is put back together to check out the functionality and it's great, that Geissele SD-E Flat Trigger makes a world of difference in the pull, right around 4#. The Extended Bolt hold open functions as it should now all that is left is to get the SL8-6 Bolt modified to the G36 Bolt, get the Tommy Built AR MagWell to be able to run the double stack mags, and a low profile rail and it's done. I have 3 Taurus 617 style 7 shot SS 2" brl 357/38 revolvers. One is blued. They are K frame size. No issues with any of them and have had them 10 years. Carry one of them every day and have for the past few years. All shoot to aim and have smooth triggers on them. One is an ultralight and only fires 38 special and is + P rated. I highly recommend later models of Taurus revolvers. The one I carry has several rounds (1,000+) through it. Is still very tight and functions well, although most of the rounds through it was 38 spl practice ammo. Have fired 4 boxes of 357 full power through it though.

Got a few more smaller parts in today. Did some fitting on the Tommy Built AR Lower assembly, G36 Stock, and a few other parts. I got it mocked up just need to clean it up where I had to do a little fitting, but so far it's coming along.

Got it all tore down, just waiting on the other parts.
