  4. Mechanically it'll be perfectly fine if you want to shoot it. Aesthetically, however...

  5. "You've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky? ' Well, do you, punk?" - Inspector Callahan Thinning out my safe queens. Someone would give this nice Model 29 a better home than my safe. Not really looking for trades at this time. For sale is my Model 29-2 with the Dirty Harry 6" barrel (yeah, he also used an 8" version in the movies). It is pinned and recessed. The felt in the presentation box is non-existent at this point. I just never bother to replace the plastic/felt insert. My S&W catalog dates the serial number to 1972 1979 (opps, double checked). It has the 6" barrel. $1400 $1200 in the Mt. Juliet area.

  6. Spent the weekend on a birthday getaway with my lovely bride while the kids crashed at Mamaw and Papaws house. We visited Pigeon Forge and stayed in the hotel we honey mooned at 16 years ago. On the way up Friday we stopped by Harveys Pistol and Pawn and for my birthday my wife got the Cosaint COS21 out of layaway that I had. I ran by the range at Buds and pumped 150 rounds through it to make sure it would function and then carried it all weekend. It's riding in a Kusiak American IWB that was built for a 1911, I wet the holster and slowly stretched and reformed it until it fit like a glove. Using a new belt that I picked up at Buds, a Nexbelt Supreme Appendix, and the Spyderco Ronin 2 was a $40 flea market find this morning. So this vacation has been one that added a lot of options to my edc. Enough of my blabbing, here's the new setup.

  10. Glock 19 GEN 3 TENNESSEE-ORANGE 9MM 15RD 4.02" BL (smga.com) Check out this Glock I ended up winning at a non-profit recently. Are the 43x usually have a good rep? I know it's Glock, but still curious. Wonder how many of these they made

  12. The love/hate world relationship with this guy is insane. I definitely don't get Memphis. Is land cheap? Why would you build a data center near the fault?

  14. I assume you have an MOS? It will fit with the adapter plate or you can grind the extra nubs off and fit it directly

  16. Did anyone else attend the open house this year? I got there around 1030, despite my efforts to get going yesterday morning, LOL. I wandered around, bought 2 holsters for my Glock 43X, and just explored. It was very crowded, and I didn’t even know there were many venders set up in one of the ranges until they were gone. As I was leaving, a guy told me that one of the venders was giving out free holsters. But my luck wasn’t all bad as I had he very last door prize ticket they drew. The last 5 winners got 2 gift bags. Mine were identical and each included a nice pistol bag and a set of electronic ear muffs. I already have one set of electronic ear muffs, but they are probably 10myears old, so these may be better technology wise. Tiring day, as I don’t like crowds, but it was fun. Enjoyed some of the guest speakers, especially John Harris of TFA. I wish more people would support them, and also wish more Americans would see what’s going on and do something about it. i wear a fishing shirt and a veteran ball cap, but wish we had some kind of TGO pin or patch so we could identify our fellow TGOers when at events. I know we’ve sold ball caps and shirts, but have we thought about a patch or pin?

  17. I picked this up last year used, a Wilson Combat 92G with the Vertec grip. The previous owner had sprung for the mag guide and Wilson's action job which is seriously slick (averages 2.5lbs SA and about 5lb DA on my digital trigger gauge), they had also had a Jarvis Custom barrel and single-port comp fitted along with a Jarvis steel guide rod. When I got it it was a very fast, very flat shooting and very fun gun, so I decided to see what else I could add to it. Smash cut to last week: I got my slide back from Langdon after sending it out for their optic cut. They replace a lot of the little fiddly bits in the slide with ones of their design to facilitate a (slightly) lower height over bore than the Beretta system, with the trade-off that you lose your rear sight dovetail so you are locked in to using their mount plates. They also replace the front sight to cowitness/align with the plate's rear irons. I opted for the RMR footprint but if I decide to go with something else for some reason in the future it's a pretty easy plate swap. Planned to use a 507Comp but after getting it back I decided I wanted to carry it sometimes so I went with the thinner 507C. Anyways here's wonderwall my Langdon Tactical/Jarvis Custom/Wilson Combat 92:
