I was curious if there are any locals getting together to chat about "things" It would seem a good idea to get to know each other. Or if anyone rides motorcycles we can meet for a ride. Then have some conversation over a burger, beer or Sweet Tea. Who knows what events the future will bring and it would seem logical to know who and where our "people" are.2 points

BNIB Glock 34 in OD green. Brand new. Will come exactly as a new one does. 525.00 firm. Only trade considered is 9mm Glock MOS versions 19,19X,17, and 45. Much rather sale. This was a regrettable buy as I overlooked it was a non MOS. The green is beautiful though. East Tennessee area. Knoxville/Oak Ridge2 points

I have the hard-to-source Sneaky Bags covert bag that has been lightly used. I think Sneaky Bags is out of business judging their website says they will be back soon. These bags were over $300 when I purchased it. Here's a link to the site that has some good info about the bag: https://spotterup.com/sneaky-bags-spyder-covert-rifle-bag/ This is the SMALL 27" version and it will fit an AR with a folding stock or the BREN2 (pictured) plus lots of gear. Best thing about it is it doesn't look like a rifle bag. Asking $150 *The dark spot on the front is not a stain, it's just wet from where I cleaned it up since it's been stored1 point

Beautiful CMP Winchester Garand, Service Grade with sling, American Fork & Hoe Bayonet (No Scabbard) and CMP hard case. This beauty was purchased from the Anniston CMP in November 2020. Muzzle gauges 1+ and Throat gauges 2+. The CMP currently does not have any Service Grade rifles for sale let alone Winchester. Serial Number dates to 1944. Great Memorial Day remembrance!! These rifles are getting harder to find! $1499 cash FTF near Spring Hill. Memorial Day price drop to $1380!! Now $1300!!! Now $1250 I'll throw in a couple of clips of ammo to get you started! Note that this is the only time you can use the word "Clip"!!1 point

I got to imagine it's like being a guitar amp repair tech. Think of all the non-pro wankers you got to deal with. It's no wonder they're all potheads (guitar amp repair guys that is)1 point

They're the factory heat shields, on the headers & cross pipe. They're held on with Jubilee clips (I think you guys call em hose clamps, but y'all call everything hose clamps..... This is the ONE single American thing that after 15 years, I still get stuck on! ) The tail pipes got the same treatment as all the other chrome; wet sanded at 220, etched with Naval Jelly, etch primed & 3 top coats. I wish I could post videos here. They sound fantastic with the baffles in. With em out, it sounds like 2 kids chucking bricks into a 55 gallon drum.1 point

Looking great!! I was wondering how chrome pipes could be blacked out. I didn't know covers like that existed. I usually see black exhaust tape used. What holds those covers on?1 point

I copy TX Roadhouse at high noon on Morrell Rd. Somebody please make a good impression on the greeter so I don't have to go table to table asking about gun lovers.1 point

Yeah I've got sports cars to enjoy the roads with until all my vehicles and stuff get moved out here. @gun sane @FUJIMO @AuEagle @Sleep profit @itw69fxst I'm making my monthly trip to Knoxville next Saturday the 15th. There is a Texas Roadhouse across from West Town Mall and a block away is Smoky's Cigars. We can start hitting the dead cow at noon and go from there.1 point

I know there's another thread on this topic where I posted but my Googlefu is weak this morning... ETA Found it, I think: https://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/130127-new-tooltoy/#comment-1713754 I have a Taurus 22 compact that I run a Holosun 407 on, had it since July 2023 . I stopped counting rounds somewhere around 5K and probably have between 7-10 K through it at this point. I bring it to the range a couple of times a week and plan to shoot it later today. There have been several "ammo failure to ignite", but it was old questionable .22 RF ammo and happens with any gun...bad RF ammo is bad RF ammo. I've still had the one failure to feed I've mentioned before and that was with Federal Punch. Caleb Giddings warned of that particular ammo in this particular series having difficulty feeding because of the blunt tip/nose. I've run a lot of Mini-mags and Stingers with 100% reliability. Plus lots of bulk Remington, Federal, and multiple other vendor's ammo with no problems. An added plus from my viewpoint if the TX .22 compact fits my Dale Fricke holsters for my Glocks. I remain pleasantly surprised and quite happy with my little bargain .22 pistol. ETA: rereading the linked thread it looks like I had 2 failures to feed...didn't mean to mislead...1 point

Forget those little plastic toys. Get a Browning Buckmark and actually hit what you aim at. This is a target quality gun at a reasonable price.1 point

Taurus TX22. They just released their revised TORO version. I like it far better than my Sig P322 and it's cheaper.1 point

Occasionally threads pop up about this topic but nothing seems to come of them. Unless there are small groups meeting in secret, I don't know of anyone from here actually getting together outside of the rectangular portal world. I'm up for meeting people in, what is believed to be, the real world. My two wheeled transport is in storage far away so I'm more of a cager these days. Getting together for a chin wag over dead cow interests me.1 point

. Unaka Rod and Gun Club is a decent range in Johnson City. Gotta join or go with a member. National Forest ranges are the wild west from my experience. Can be good or can be a bunch of drunk a-holes taking up the whole place. I miss having private land to shoot on for free on my schedule.1 point
