Got the big knob on the side. I remember when it was smaller, and you used the nose of a bullet to adjust.4 points

PSA: If you request me to hold something for you because you need to save up the funds, there will be a 50% nonrefundable deposit. I hate to do this because I expect more from this community but a couple of you have asked me to hold something for weeks only to then attempt a ghosting and/or come back with some Spaceballs-level financial excuse. So, moving forward, any holds longer than 24 hours will require a 50% nonrefundable deposit. Your excuses, no matter how tragic or absurd, will not suffice. You will also provide me with an email address and sign a deposit agreement stating such. I pay to be a part of this community with the understanding that we are above the rabble on other websites. Act accordingly.2 points

Beautiful CMP Winchester Garand, Service Grade with sling, American Fork & Hoe Bayonet (No Scabbard) and CMP hard case. This beauty was purchased from the Anniston CMP in November 2020. Muzzle gauges 1+ and Throat gauges 2+. The CMP currently does not have any Service Grade rifles for sale let alone Winchester. Serial Number dates to 1944. Great Memorial Day remembrance!! These rifles are getting harder to find! $1499 cash FTF near Spring Hill. Memorial Day price drop to $1380!! Now $1300!!! Now $1250 I'll throw in a couple of clips of ammo to get you started! Note that this is the only time you can use the word "Clip"!!1 point

It has come to my attention the restaurant at Top Gun is closed. They have plans to open again in the coming months. With plans for some remodeling/changing of the restaurant, it is uncertain if the restaurant seating area will be available. With about 10 people showing interest, we can gather in the seating area in front of the restaurant. Location: Top Gun, 2770 Whitten Rd, Memphis TN 38133 Time: 5:30 to 7pm, Thursday, June 6, 2024 Cost: $ none See your Thursday.1 point

I carry G17/19 95% of the time. They are like the AK's of the pistol world, they always go bang. I have a few 1911's that I love and carry the remaining 5% of the time.1 point

Indeed. Along those lines, it totally breaks my brain when I see $100k in cars sitting in the driveway with $1000 in junk filling up the garage.1 point

My wife and I take separate vacations on occasion but we still travel quite a bit together. We are working on hitting all of the national parks, 17 so far, and have been to most of the Tennessee state parks. She likes Europe and I had fun in France (we rode bikes up some of the Tour de France mountains, that was amazing) but I'm done with flying overseas, too much time in the air for me so she goes with girlfriends. We also do hiking trips in the U.S. and Canada together and week long bicycle trips all over America.1 point

I picked this up last year used, a Wilson Combat 92G with the Vertec grip. The previous owner had sprung for the mag guide and Wilson's action job which is seriously slick (averages 2.5lbs SA and about 5lb DA on my digital trigger gauge), they had also had a Jarvis Custom barrel and single-port comp fitted along with a Jarvis steel guide rod. When I got it it was a very fast, very flat shooting and very fun gun, so I decided to see what else I could add to it. Smash cut to last week: I got my slide back from Langdon after sending it out for their optic cut. They replace a lot of the little fiddly bits in the slide with ones of their design to facilitate a (slightly) lower height over bore than the Beretta system, with the trade-off that you lose your rear sight dovetail so you are locked in to using their mount plates. They also replace the front sight to cowitness/align with the plate's rear irons. I opted for the RMR footprint but if I decide to go with something else for some reason in the future it's a pretty easy plate swap. Planned to use a 507Comp but after getting it back I decided I wanted to carry it sometimes so I went with the thinner 507C. Anyways here's wonderwall my Langdon Tactical/Jarvis Custom/Wilson Combat 92:1 point

I wish we still had the Nashville Community Education program, but it got its funding cut during the Covid lock downs and never resumed. They had neat classes like canning, cast iron primitive cooking, gardening, sewing, paper making, etc. in addition to various ethnic cooking classes, sports classes (like fencing ), music classes, computer skills, writing, painting, and more.1 point

In my opinion, they were sort of a neat novelty when they were sub $100 and ammo was cheap. I don't have any use for one given today's prices of both rifles and ammo. I can buy a much nicer rifle for less money.1 point
