And having the biggest, newest, pickup truck on the block in a neighborhood they can’t afford living in with insurance rates skyrocketing to match the grossly overinflated house values in this state. Not to mention everyday expenses that are unaffordable due to previously mentioned commitments. “But the bill just says minimum payment due”. That kind of ignorance has a lot to do with it as well. And none of that has jack #### to do with the government.3 points

What makes fish bite? If you can truly answer that question you will be one of the most popular people on the planet. I agree with Alleycat though, the cicadas are driving lots of critters wild right now. The snakes are really out in force right now since several species love to gorge on them.2 points

I have a vintage comic book collection that I am wanting to move. This is very far outside my wheelhouse but I have made a spreadsheet of what I have with a general description. I want to sell them as a lot in Middle Tennessee area (Murfreesboro). Shoot me a message and I can get you more information if seriously interested. Figured I would try here before I take to a comic book shop in Nashville. Asking $1400 for all. This value is off of lower graded ones I found. These are not graded and haven’t seen the light of day in probably 30 years or more. Only trade would be for WWI/ WWII pistols or rifles.1 point

Are you too cool for an AR-15? Do you already have too many of them? Do you need more classic wood stocked goodness in your life? This is the gun for you. Has less than 200 rounds, comes with sling. No mag with it so I’m reducing price by $50. Depending on what you want mags are $14-$30.1 point

I’ll argue it was for a home they could not afford to begin with.1 point

A mostly unreported issue: Mortgage escrow shortages / delinquencies are on the rise. Substantial increases in property taxes and home owners insurance are adding $300+ to mortgage payments. Credit card usage among homeowners is increasing as HELOCs are now maxed out and adjusting to current rates...and yes, it's for gas and groceries not fabulous vacations.1 point

I may be the cicadas. I was kayaking on the Duck river Saturday and I've never seen so many big fish at the surface. I don't fish, but if I'd had a net....1 point

Actually, it looks exactly like a stainless version of the 4th Issue Police Positive. Check my picture above. That's it on the bottom left. There's also a couple of Diamondbacks in that same pic. 4" .38 and a 6" .22. Yeah, I'd like to see Colt bring those back as well.1 point

$1650 shipped I have added my Cool Fire Trainer specially made for the Shadow 2 and a Blade Tech Holster to this listing. The price has been adjusted to $1750. The trainer is the best dry fire trainer made. It allows you to practice trigger work in the comfort of your home with felt recoil. This is a $300 value. There is a picture of the trainer system and holster in the comments. This Competition Ready CZ Shadow 2 from the CZ Custom Shop has everything a top competitive shooter would want. CZ Custom Shop has taken the most popular DA/SA pistol in competitive shooting sports to an expert level. This Custom Tungsten Grey Polycoat finish sets it apart from the rest by looks, but it’s the internals that set it apart by performance. The CZ Custom shop has done a complete trigger job with competition hammer, improved short reset trigger, 13 lb mainspring, extended firing pin, extended firing pin spring, 11 lb recoil spring for competition shooting, and a short reach trigger. The trigger weights have been set to 7.5 to 8.5 lbs in double action and 3 to 4 lbs for single action. If you have experienced CZ custom trigger jobs before you know they are some of the best in the business with no stacking, ultra smooth movement, a defined and the the crisp break of a 1911. The gun comes with the original box, two test targets (second one was from when it was sent back in to add short reach trigger), and invoice/order sheet. The gun has been shot and holstered. Round count is under 500 with this one. There are a couple small marks on the finish that are shown in the pictures. Price is $1750 and located in Lebanon, TN. Thanks and feel free to reach out with any questions. Not really looking to trade but open to offers. This gun will need to be transferred through a local FFL.1 point

If a person were to not open their mouth and tell everyone on the internet about said firearms- How would any entity of Government even know- If there is no gun registration how do they know whether you purchased in your home state or not-from an individual-a long time ago- Not advocating for breaking any farcical laws but just saying- Far too many people give way too much credit to Governmental Offices-1 point

Blued Colt XSE 1911 in .45. Has 10-8 sights, Wilson Combat BP ambi-safety and a Smith & Alexander magwell. At present, spends all of its time in the safe and would rather this go to someone who will actually use it. Has slight holster wear on slide/frame from some range use and 347 rounds down the pipe. Asking $875. Willing to meet a buyer either in Knoxville or between Knoxville and Clinton. Buyer will need to show TN ID (ideally CHP). Will accept cash, venmo, or paypal FF.1 point

Unless something has changed lately, I believe, you can transfer a long gun across state lines. You can’t transfer a handgun without involving an FFL. Please let me know if this has changed.1 point
-
If he is a resident of a different state than you, he will have to transfer through an FFL with a 4473 completed. Whether a sale or gift is immaterial. It’s the interstate transfer that’s the key point.1 point

I agree. My closest steel is about 30 feet but to make it as safe as possible, besides the tilting and swinging my shooting deck is about 4 feet above the close target. Other targets are on a hill side so are eventually at the same hight or even higher but still at an angle and swinging. So far I haven't had a problem. I find paper pretty boring after shooting steel most of the time.1 point

Well I picked up the x ultra 4 mid boots. Really comfortable new. I've got to put some miles in before June 10. I've got a week of hiking and kayaking coming. Thanks everyone.1 point

I am not a Harley fan at all so hack and spray away! There is a reason those original parts sell for such good money though. People want to restore wrecked or previously hacked up versions of the bike back to "original" Seldom do modified bikes bring original bike money.1 point

Be sure to hang the targets correctly because you can get bullet splatter coming back at you. The targets need to be swinging or mounted at an angle to the ground so the splatter is directed downward at the ground. I had a whole lead R N bullet hit me on the shin and I was shooting directly into a seasoned Oak hardwood target backstop and it came straight back at me and brought blood on my shin. Don't ask me how but it can happen. I don't get closer than 21' from my swinging metal targets and wear protective eye safety shooting glasses. They actually recommend farther away than what I do. Edited to add; My 6" pistol rack is slanted toward the back, at the top, and they direct the splatter upward and behind the target. They fall backward and are not solid mounted when struck by a bullet. Be safe with steel!1 point

Yep, that time again. I called the local high school MCJROTC officer about cleaning the range room. Was there at the appointed time. The cadets had cleaned one room and left me a container. I cleaned the second room. Counting the bucket I got 34 pounds of spent tin .177 pellets. When my grandson was on the rifle team there were 25 cadets. 2 to 3 computations per week as far south as Columbus, Grenada and Greenville. Lt. Col said this year he had 5 cadets and 4 students, never got a call for computations. Lt. Col. gave me the phone numbers of the 5 other schools in Desoto County that had rifle teams in the past. None had enough to fill a team either. Some removed it from the program. I built a fire in the pit, laid a steel bar across and added a grate. Sat the Dutch oven on and filled with pellets. Added more wood. As the pellets melted I was able to empty the bucket in the pot. After they melted I added a scoop of sawdust, stirred, scrapped the bottom and sides, spooned the trash off and added a second scoop of sawdust. Stirred, scrapped the bottom and sides, spooned the trash off again. I got 28 cornbread stick ingots of tin. Roughly 1 lb each, I'll weigh them later.1 point

Cleaning out the safe to make room, per wife's request. I purchased this M1A NM brand new a few years ago and only ever took it out of the safe to look at. It currently has a Delta 14 Chassis w/Fab Defense Mossberg 500 adjustable folding stock. But also comes with factory walnut stock, hand guard, adjustable cheek pad, with Springfield scope mount installed, 3 x 20 round and 1 x 5 round Springfield magazines. Never fired! All in was almost $3k, asking $2k for everything. Located in Crossville1 point
