  1. Are you too cool for an AR-15? Do you already have too many of them? Do you need more classic wood stocked goodness in your life? This is the gun for you. Has less than 200 rounds, comes with sling. No mag with it so I’m reducing price by $50. Depending on what you want mags are $14-$30.

  2. I bought this about a year and a half ago to go on one particular gun. It did not work out for that gun and has just been sitting on the shelf. I am the second owner. The first owner mounted it on a .22 but never used it. It is Model CR624-C-2900015. It is a second focal plane scope with red BDC segmented circle, 30mm tube, matte black. You can buy these new online for $832 plus shipping. $575

  5. Anybody else notice the round top bolt? Seems to be a very fair price for the package. GLWS!

  6. 100% agree. As as a collector of these types of firearms... please leave it as is. Sell it and put the proceeds towards one in the condition that you desire. It has more value as is... than it would after a refinish.

  7. When you start hitting roots and rocks on trails it makes a difference. Walking of running on asphalt or concrete, I'm definitely using my running shoes. When I say hiking I'm talking about places you need hand holds.

  8. Leave it alone. A re-finish would hurt that gun's value considerably.

  12. Just replaced a Honda under warranty. This is the 3rd since new in 2016. My 2011 Toyota just went through a new battery and alternator last summer. Stayed with the Toyota for the warranty. I think it’s 8 years. If either of those kick out again I’m going Optima Yellow Top.

  13. While TN as a whole is solidly pro-2A, there are places in the state that are as liberal as DC and Chicago. These two represent two of those areas and are doing the normal election-year game of getting headlines to get them re-elected. Their constituents don't care that this won't go anywhere. It's more important to play it up for an obliging media in order to get votes.

  14. I love Interstate but anymore I'm a Rural King Gold label fan for my daily drivers. Budget friendly and good warranty

  15. I have had really good luck with Merrill boots. They have pretty good insoles to start with. Peejman said it true. Good insoles make all the difference.

  17. Low tennis shoes dont support your ankle, if you are actually doing some real hiking you want boots high enough to support and protect your ankle while walking up and down steep, rocky trails. I'd hate to twist my ankle and have to walk several miles (or farther) back to the car. You also want to wear the boots around your house a few times to break them in. My every day shoe is a Hi-tec Altitude boot, I wear those hiking also.

  18. I just hike, like I do most everything else, in my Red Wing Pecos pull ons. I never really understood the purpose of hiking boots. If a person is used to wearing tennis shoes, or whatever, why not just wear those? I once saw two gals sitting on a bench at Clingman’s dome, rubbing their blister covered feet, with two brand new pairs of fancy hiking boots sitting beside them. That left an impression on me.

  20. I have a pair of Hi-tec ultralight boots that are great for day hikes, I can really notice the light weight. They are probably 10 yrs old and still look and feel great. But I dont hike a lot-lol, couple times a year. If I was doing a multi-day hike I'd do a little research before buying a pair.

  21. I still have my 4.25 Anaconda coming, but the up-and-coming new Colt Kodiak has me thinking about adding another .44 magnum in 4.25 inch to the stable

  26. For a gun as nice as this I'd probably try Ford's Custom Refinishing in Crystal River, FL. Won't be cheap, but guns I've seen from that shop are truly eye-popping. Cheers, Whisper

  31. Here's a pic of my meager Colt collection. I'm afraid that they only pic of the Python I have currently. That's it at the top. I hear ya about the S&Ws. I have a safe full of 'em and there ain't a single lock in the bunch. I only have one with any MIM parts. S&W ain't what they used to be.
