  1. Local news ran a story last night where the anti-gun group Everytown claims that according to FBI data Memphis is the #1 city for thefts of guns from vehicles. I'm not surprised. Memphis is notorious for vehicle break-ins anyway. I've been preaching for years to never leave a gun in a vehicle. This report confirms that. https://wreg.com/news/local/memphis-leading-nation-in-guns-stolen-from-cars-report/

  2. Are you too cool for an AR-15? Do you already have too many of them? Do you need more classic wood stocked goodness in your life? This is the gun for you. Has less than 200 rounds, comes with sling. No mag with it so I’m reducing price by $50. Depending on what you want mags are $14-$30.

  7. I agree with Ray. The last 2 I have bought have been locally at Rural King for 62.00 out the door. Much better than buying online, shipping, tax, then the stupid 40+ in transfer fee now. Rural King has them for 42.00 IIRC, BG-10.00. Taxes makes it a much better option than online for me anyway.

  8. If one already has a permit, it will cost $200 to convert to lifetime. Renewal for 8 yrs is $50. So......near time of renewal essentially for an additional $150 it could be converted to a lifetime. Background check is done every 5 yrs automatically with the lifetime.

  9. Cleaning out the safe to make room, per wife's request. I purchased this Benelli M2 3-gun Performance Shop 12 gauge shotgun a few years ago to compete in 3-gun competitions. But we moved to TN and I never got a chance to even shoot it. Comes with magazine tube extension and barrel brace, factory case and all parts originally included. (owners manual, chokes, lube, etc) Never fired! All in was almost $2.6k, asking $1.9k for everything. Located in Crossville Details about the M2 3-Gun:

  10. Cleaning out the safe to make room, per wife's request. I purchased this M1A NM brand new a few years ago and only ever took it out of the safe to look at. It currently has a Delta 14 Chassis w/Fab Defense Mossberg 500 adjustable folding stock. But also comes with factory walnut stock, hand guard, adjustable cheek pad, with Springfield scope mount installed, 3 x 20 round and 1 x 5 round Springfield magazines. Never fired! All in was almost $3k, asking $2k for everything. Located in Crossville

  12. Ran the Shield mags Gen II when I had a G48 no problems. GenI had some problems (orange follower) GenII (gray follower. At time wanted PSA but they sold out and were several months out of stock. I called Magpul to see if they would be making any and they said no.

  13. Only thing I have against PSA is shipping can add up. Add on $25 shipping and a $45 transfer fee and that $29 lower is now about a $100 lower.

  14. I never cared for derringers. They're just awkward to handle and cock for me. Too slow to get into action. I shot one once loaded with .38+p. Not an experience I want to repeat.

  16. ***EDIT: Class is for 16 and there are only 8 spots left*** Small Unit CQB Workup - Oct 23-27 Orion Training Group Jared Arceneaux and Jason Ransome $800 Click here to sign up ***This will be at LFX Firearms Training in Harriman, TN. I'm the owner but I've been a student of OTG for a while and invited them to come to my facility. This is fantastic opportunity to take a great course. These guys have never been to TN so it's rare to have them so close.*** Day 0 and 1: October 23 and 24 Live Fire CQB Marksmanship DAY 0 is a HALF DAY starting at 1300 local time and ending at 1700 local time. DAY 1 is a FULL DAY starting at 0800 local time and ending at 1700 local time. Course Focus: applicable weapons handling for a CQB environment, as well as accuracy while moving as it applies to CQB. This will be in a flat range environment and is NOT a "live fire CQB" course. Day 0 will function like a pistol/rifle clinic, allowing students of lower skill or experience level to catch up to others, and giving more experienced students a refresher on the basics with both platforms, as well as movement, reloads, malfunctions, panning doors, center checking, and dynamic entry with DRY REPS to familiarize with the concepts for Day 1. Day 1 will be focused on shooting during the movements associated with entry, such as threshold assessments and dynamic entries, lateral movements like running the rabbit, and more. At the end of this course, students will be able to accurately and rapidly engage targets with multiple rounds at CQB distances with rifle and pistol. Day 2-4: October 25- 27 Small Unit CQB (Force on Paper) DAY 2-4 ARE FULL DAYS 0800-1700 Course Focus: principles based movement governing the entry and domination of residential sized structures by 4 and 5 man elements. This course is not based on a singular doctrine of movement, but covers multiple options and allows students to pick SOP's for their class. This course utilizes rotating stations of larger scale and micro drill reps in order to minimize down time. This course is force on paper only, and focuses on refining the movements utilized in CQB environments. NO LIVE AMMO. THIS IS A NON LETHAL ONLY COURSE.

  17. I'm surprised at some of the responses here. Did y'all actually read the article? The National Hardwood Lumber Summit moved their conference to the Cordova area because they thought it would be safer. Yet 20 cars were broken into in one night. Welcome to Memphis. I agree, the person who steals the gun is the criminal. I also agree that you have the right to leave a gun in your car if you want to. But all you're doing is making the criminal's job easier. Common sense says don't do that.

  18. I am not offering an opinion here so back off if you don’t like what I’m about to say. Since the state basically removed all restrictions on keeping firearms in vehicles, car break-ins have skyrocketed, especially Memphis because they’ll steal the stink out of #### there, but don’t you Nashville area or anywhere else folks get too smug, it’s happening everywhere and getting worse. Fact, not opinion.

  19. Thats all nice and fine, but here in the real world, risk mitigation is a part of life. Failing to take reasonable measures to operate in the world in which we actually live only makes one an attractive target for the criminal element. At some point, it’s just acting as an accessory to the criminals by enabling them. Reminds me of the meme about the guy talking to his neighbor who says “the coyotes keep eating our cats.” ”Where do you get the cats?” ”The animal shelter.” ”Sounds to me like you’re just feeding the coyotes.” Then the guys kid just runs away crying
