  3. Are you too cool for an AR-15? Do you already have too many of them? Do you need more classic wood stocked goodness in your life? This is the gun for you. Has less than 200 rounds, comes with sling. No mag with it so I’m reducing price by $50. Depending on what you want mags are $14-$30.

  5. Here’s my 1903a4 build. All parts are surplus USGI besides the CMP stock set that’s on it. Comes with the original period correct weaver model 330 scope, original rings, bolt, mounts, sling and correct 1-1944 marked barrel Rifling is mint. One of the best barrels I’ve ever seen. All work was done by a professional gun smith about 15 years ago would trade for other WW2 rifles/pistols, nice parts kit built AKs, nice 1911s, desert eagles. Could be interested in other things just shoot me a DM. cash price is 2200. Located in Knoxville.

  7. We went in mid April to the one on Kingston Pike. My wife had shrimp and I had a seafood platter. We actually thought it was pretty good. I hope it stays open.

  11. I owned a Pro Series 627 (first revolver purchase) and it was a great gun. I ended up selling it and getting a PC M&P R8 and while it is cool I still wish I got the PC 627 instead all these years later. The triggers on PC guns are great and a lot of fun to shoot. I think you'll love it.

  14. Russell's twist clutch and no front brake lever make the handle bars look so clean. I love this look but for practicality, I NEED my mirrors.

  17. The fact that the attacker survived that many stab wounds makes me wonder if the victim used one of those new bladeless Swiss Army Knives otherwise he would've saved the city the cost of an ambulance ride.

  20. I much prefer the food and prices at Captain D's. Red Lobster is priced to compete with real seafood restaurants, but sadly, that isn't what it is.

  22. There is more need for drivers training than handgun training IMO, and driving is a privilege that can have legislation put in place to force the training without violating the constitution.

  23. One cannot legally carry in any park in TN without permit. If an employee of a post secondary school in TN one must have the ECP to do so with other stipulations as well. It is against Federal law to be in a school zone or on school property without a permit. Plus the benefit of out of state carry as noted. Possible informal benefits when dealing with LEO, SD shooting, etc.

  24. If there truly were that many idiots running around causing problems for everyone simply because they lacked mandatory firearms training than we would certainly be hearing about it and the TN legislators would certainly be trying to saddle us with it. I’m 100% in agreement that responsible gun owners should get training, just like I think everyone should stay out of debt, workout most days, and quit drinking, but I certainly don’t think any of that should be mandated. It’s a very slippery slope whenever we encourage the Govt to mandate something in the public “best interest” as they get a taste for it and don’t know where to stop.

  25. There is a very recent thread on this topic, I'll see if I can find it. The consensus was that a permit made it much easier to carry when traveling out of state.

  32. I only really have 1 tip & it's as much shooting related as it is reloading. Actually, no. I have 2, but they're basically all rolled up together. This one will annoy & possibly anger some people, but I've never had it fail yet. When you look in any load data book, it'll show a 'min' & 'max' charge. Load your cases from min to max at 10% intervals. Only 1 of each. You're looking for pressure signs, not accuracy now. Now, shoot them 1 at a time, at any range. Hell, shoot them into the ground. But starting with the hottest. You shouldn't, but if you see any pressure signs with the hottest, grab one from the middle & then work up until you see pressure. Pick the load below pressure signs & load 30 of them. Also, learn to read real pressure signs. Extractors marks, ejector marks & bolt swipe at minimum. Primer flattening may, or may not be indicative of pressure. Don't rely on just that. Use that load to zero your scope & then shoot ALL the rest as a group. Everyone bases their accuracy from 3 or 5 round groups & that's not enough. I guarantee, pretty much every book load, from min to max, will shoot into roughly the same group size, given enough data points. 10 shots minimum, 30 is better. That 4th round 'flyer' is almost guaranteed to be part of the natural accuracy cone. You're just not shooting enough to notice. Here's a perfect example of why 3 & round groups don't tell the whole truth. If I'd stopped at 3, It'd be a sub .250 rifle ("all day, if i do my part" The group of 5 on the right would get me bragging that is a sub-MOA gun (ADIIDMP) In actual fact, when you combine the 2 & the 2 that most would call flyers (they weren't) is a 1½moa gun. And honestly, as hunting rifle go, that's pretty frikkin' stellar! There. That rattled a few feathers, didn't it?!
