I much prefer the food and prices at Captain D's. Red Lobster is priced to compete with real seafood restaurants, but sadly, that isn't what it is.3 points

I’ve been thinking about the shield/psa mags but I know every time I go to use it the Glock mags will work. I understand the more rounds the better but if there’s a chance of mag failure I’m good with stock mags.2 points

All the cool kids just got 1895 Trappers. Mine is still at my FFL because I just haven't gotten over there yet so no flex photo.2 points

I like Red Lobster, but it is kinda expensive for my budget. I only eat there maybe once or twice a year. I looked and it seems they only closed one in Memphis. Winchester Rd. The one here in Bartlett almost always has a waiting list.2 points

I knew people who depended on overtime to make payments on their cars, trucks, etc. I really had little sympathy when they found themselves in trouble when the OT dried up. But you have to hand it to American marketing; they have a lot of people believing that they have to have a new car, new cell phone, or latest and greatest gadget to be happy. Even within our hobby, there are a lot of elitists who might turn up their nose at a budget firearm. When I was a kid, I often fished with old, rusty hooks and a rusty bolt for a sinker, and I did pretty well. Now you can't catch a crappie unless you have a $200 rod.2 points

I have little sympathy for financially irresponsible people who get wrapped up in credit card debt. People who suddenly lose their jobs or have unforeseen massive medical expenses are an entirely different matter.2 points

Credit cards have been a scourge on society since the first charge plates were invented by department stores. Abuse of credit cards and the debt incurred is nothing new, it’s been going on for decades. Blaming the government for that is just silly, you either live within your means or don’t. Sure, the government can and should crack down on predatory lending practices which is exactly what credit card companies are in the business of, but then again, capitalism, responsibility, and all that jazz. I listened to my elders growing up and do not exceed my means. Fortunately, I have a good income, but it has not been easy dealing with the crap that comes along with that. Long story short, I have no sympathy for those in CC debt. I have dealt with it among family members so have seen the absolutely devastating effects it can have on one’s life and future.2 points

Up for sale is a Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine chambered in 30 WCF (30-30) made in 1911. It is close to, but not all completely original. This one was pretty rough when I started. When I work on an old rifle, I don’t want to make it “new”, just clean and functional. It’s not a collector’s piece, but it is now a really nice historic old shooter. The rifle has been completely disassembled, cleaned and put back together. There was little (if any) original bluing left on the metal. I did not try to make the metal look new, but I cleaned it up and gave it a vintage look with cold bluing. The original gum-wood stock was in pretty rough shape and had, at some point in the rifle’s 113-year life, been refinished and sanded a bit too much. The original gum-wood forend was also sanded and bit too much and is split at the front. I cleaned them up as best I could, but they were still just to ugly. I replaced them with a reproduction set from Gunville.com in American Black Walnut. After hand fitting the new furniture, it was finished with a hand rubbed oil finish. The original stock and forend will be included. The saddle ring is also not original to the rifle but I believe it is an old piece. It also now has the correct v-notched ladder rear carbine sight. $950, OBO. Located in Nashville. For sale/trade to persons who can legally own a firearm. Trade I’m interested in would be a Winchester 1873 in 32-20 I can send more (and higher resolution) photos (including some before photos) upon request.1 point

Yes that is what happens when you use Glock mag with alloy mag release. If your going to use Glock mags put the Glock plastic release back in the gun and avoid wrecking your Glock mags.1 point

SOLD Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion in .45 acp. No box or papers. $900 $825 Shipped to your FFL. Great looking gun in good shape. Haha, a Glock rep would say that. Glock Perfection! They will wear out but rounds down the pipe won't do it. It's the inserting and releasing of the mag that causes the wear. Metal on plastic.1 point

I worked with a guy like that back in the 1980's. He worked eight days a week if he could get it while his wife sat at home and shopped with credit cards. He had 15k in credit card debt back then. The craziest thing was after he fell off his house and broke his leg his wife came to worke and asked if there was any work he could do with his broke leg. He should have cut the cards up and told her to get a job long before it got to that point.1 point

I second Jeff43, I have bought most of my steel from https://shootingtargets7.com They use flat rate boxes so their shipping is reasonable but the mailman don't like their boxes much. If you get on their mailing list they send out all their sales, and they have lots of them. They have nice charts to help you buy the right thickness for what you plan to shoot. Since I shoot a bit of everything on my range I color code my targets Green handle anything I own, Yellow carbines and handguns, red .22 only. If you make everything for the biggest caliber they don't ring that well on lower caliber. As long as your buying targets, I found that just buying what ever paint was cheap didn't cover well and in the long run cost more than good paint. I found https://www.rangestore.net that sells high pigment target paint in a bunch of colors. They cover fast and a can last awhile.1 point

Finally got my garden fertilized, disced, and ready to plant. Now it’s raining. I think it’s about to quit. If so, I’ll try to plant it later today. Man, it been wet lately! Got the tomatoes and peppers planted, and then rain resumed. I guess the seed planting will happen another day.1 point

The Shield Arms mags have given me zero problems. That said, my Sig P365 X Macro holds 17 rounds in the same size package as the 43X.1 point

I always knew this had been going on a long time. The Bible gives an example which occurred around 600BC. 1 Samuel 13, verses 19-20 "There were no blacksmiths in the land of Israel in those days. The Philistines wouldn't allow them for fear they would make swords and spears for the Hebrews. So whenever the Israelites needed to sharpen their plowshares, picks, axes or sickles, they had to take them to a Philistine blacksmith." Verse 21 talks about the fees (or tax) assessed for sharpening these tools in order to make them functional. 1. Disarm the peasants 2. Limit the ability for peasants, through high cost fees and/or taxes, to maintain any item as personal defensive or offensive weapon 3. Make sure only those loyal to the rulers are armed .gov has been attempting to disarm us for almost 3000 years1 point

Well, fellas, this one hurts. The only reason I’m selling this is an ongoing legal battle with the douche bag Contractor that screwed me out of a bunch of money . time to pay the lawyer. 03 450 exc (electric or kick start) Clean Tennessee title KKE supermoto wheels with cheap but functional Shinko tires along with factory dirt wheels and tires. It is currently set up in dirt configuration, me and my boy went to the farm to ride last weekend, but I can swap it back to super Moto if you desire it’s fairly easy Bought this probably two years ago it set for a while just didn’t have the time to invest in it. When I got it, I cleaned the carburetor gave an oil change and replaced the sprag clutch on it ( electric start clutch) then let it sit for a while. Started messing around with it about a month ago and I put a new chain and sprocket set on it. Runs good the carb could use a little adjustment But nothing major it ran just fine at the farm. Of course, this thing is a blast in the dirt , but it is an absolute riot and super Moto form. I actually prefer it over my speed triple but my speed triple is sentimental so I can’t let it go. Let me know if you guys have any questions or I can get you more pictures located next to Opry Mills mall SOLD1 point

Ok. Another old Winchester joined the stable. I may or may not keep her. I have to “do my thing” first. Tear down, clean, likely remove old varnish someone added at some time. Once I’m done I’ll post more photos and then decide if I’m keeping her. 1907, Winchester Model 1894 in 30WCF. 26” half-round barrel with a short mag-tube. Crescent butt plate. Some bluing left, much turned to a patina. Looks to possibly be a thin layer of varnish on the receiver (it will be removed if it’s there). Early DW King rear sight (likely not original but close to period). Update.. what I thought was varnish on the receiver is just a really light tan patina. Almost looks like old case coloring, but from what I know, there were very few case colored 1894 rifles. I will say this one is quite clean inside. The last two I got did not look like they had ever been cleaned. The carbon and dirt build up was crazy in those.1 point

I will be getting a small break, just a few days off of my offshore Project, So Saturday the 27th I should pick up my Python Combat elite. I have the Wilson Combat Gold front and rear sight and I have some special Walnut Altamont grips coming that I think should make it much more to my liking. I will update once I have her and shoot her and let you all know what I think. My 4.25 Anaconda I will pick up at the end of my offshore campaign.1 point

I had a Bond Arms Derringer....shot good, like Rob Said....410 pdx loads felt like catching a punch...I didn't find the trigger all that bad. Well built and beautiful gun but more of a novelty than anything else. Heavier than most any compact firearms and your only getting 2 shots...doesn't really make sense for anything but fun range toy or night stand gun and even then do you really only want 2 shots? I think these were more popular before Taurus came out with their judge line and 410 revolvers weren't so common.1 point
