  22. I'm mainly a S&W guy. I collect those and have a bunch of 'em. But I do own some Colts too. Including a 1975 6" blue Python. I like 'em. At this point I think that more than likely I will buy one. But as I said, so far I've never held one.

  23. Second this. I am sure there are a lot of people hurting it this jacked up BS economy but it only takes a little applied observation to notice the money people are hemorrhaging one stuff they don't actually need or at least more expensive versions of stuff they may need (vehicles, homes, food choices, etc...)

  24. Been there, done that. Once I was drowning in credit card debt. Its especially hard on young people trying to get themselves established in this world. The interest charges will eat you up. But many do it to themselves. They want what they want and they want it right now! I think all of us have had to stand in a checkout line waiting while the person in front of us tries multiple credit cards to make their purchase. Or worse are the people who buy little items such as one soft drink or fast food and pay with a credit card. That sort of thing adds up real quick. I got myself out of credit card debt some 30 years ago. Today I have one credit card and its used primarily for internet purchases. I also pay off the balance every month. For most everyday items, I pay cash. If I don't have enough cash, I just don't buy it.

  28. Don't get me wrong...I'm a Libertarian. I think seatbelts laws and helmet laws shouldn't exist. I think you should wear your helmet and seatbelts, I just don't believe the government has the right to mandate it. The victim is never at fault. Did the victim make it easier for the criminal to commit an illegal act? Could very well be the case, but that act is not and shouldn't be illegal. No crime is committed until the bad guy commits the crime.

  29. Well, fellas, this one hurts. The only reason I’m selling this is an ongoing legal battle with the douche bag Contractor that screwed me out of a bunch of money . time to pay the lawyer. 03 450 exc (electric or kick start) Clean Tennessee title KKE supermoto wheels with cheap but functional Shinko tires along with factory dirt wheels and tires. It is currently set up in dirt configuration, me and my boy went to the farm to ride last weekend, but I can swap it back to super Moto if you desire it’s fairly easy Bought this probably two years ago it set for a while just didn’t have the time to invest in it. When I got it, I cleaned the carburetor gave an oil change and replaced the sprag clutch on it ( electric start clutch) then let it sit for a while. Started messing around with it about a month ago and I put a new chain and sprocket set on it. Runs good the carb could use a little adjustment But nothing major it ran just fine at the farm. Of course, this thing is a blast in the dirt , but it is an absolute riot and super Moto form. I actually prefer it over my speed triple but my speed triple is sentimental so I can’t let it go. Let me know if you guys have any questions or I can get you more pictures located next to Opry Mills mall SOLD

  31. I'm surprised at some of the responses here. Did y'all actually read the article? The National Hardwood Lumber Summit moved their conference to the Cordova area because they thought it would be safer. Yet 20 cars were broken into in one night. Welcome to Memphis. I agree, the person who steals the gun is the criminal. I also agree that you have the right to leave a gun in your car if you want to. But all you're doing is making the criminal's job easier. Common sense says don't do that.

  32. I do my absolute best to not leave a gun in a vehicle. That said I have a lock box hidden behind my passenger seat with a floor mat over it, bolted to floor in a 2 door car. It doesnt make it 100% fool-proof, but it makes a big difference. Its also the same reason I wont put anything gun or outdoors related stickers on my car to keep it from being a target becauze they think a guns inside

  33. I am not offering an opinion here so back off if you don’t like what I’m about to say. Since the state basically removed all restrictions on keeping firearms in vehicles, car break-ins have skyrocketed, especially Memphis because they’ll steal the stink out of #### there, but don’t you Nashville area or anywhere else folks get too smug, it’s happening everywhere and getting worse. Fact, not opinion.

  34. I wouldn’t have made that trip to Memphis in the first place because I understand the high risk of waking up without the car. Thats the kind of risk assessment I’m talking about here. Did she cause her car to get stolen? No, but I hope she wasn’t surprised that it happened. https://wreg.com/news/investigations/driving-crime-more-than-22000-vehicle-thefts-in-memphis-in-2-years/ In Memphis, the risk of vehicle break in is so high as to be nearly a guarantee. So leaving a firearm in the car is tantamount to intentionally arming a criminal. When I lived in Midtown in Memphis, I had my car broken into 5 times in little over a two year period. If I left a firearm in my vehicle and it got stolen, any reasonable person would say that it was an entirely predictable outcome. This is honestly a very weird surprising take from a group of folks whom mostly carry guns because of the possibility of encountering someone who means them harm. I mean, I shouldn’t have to carry a gun everywhere I go, but I do because I’ve made an assessment of the risks and act accordingly. It’s kinda amusing since the odds of me having to use my gun are waaaaaaay lower than the odds of my car getting broken into in the Memphis metro. Folks can live in the world they imagine exists inside their mind, or they can live in the one outside their front door. I choose the latter.

  35. Thats all nice and fine, but here in the real world, risk mitigation is a part of life. Failing to take reasonable measures to operate in the world in which we actually live only makes one an attractive target for the criminal element. At some point, it’s just acting as an accessory to the criminals by enabling them. Reminds me of the meme about the guy talking to his neighbor who says “the coyotes keep eating our cats.” ”Where do you get the cats?” ”The animal shelter.” ”Sounds to me like you’re just feeding the coyotes.” Then the guys kid just runs away crying

  36. I remember buying Federal .22 shorts for $0.22 a box at our local Western Auto store. You could buy .22 LR for $0.27 per box - I bought the shorts 'cause they worked as well as LR on squirrels, frogs, rabbits, etc. as the LR's and I actually got change from $1.00! At the time my weekly allowance was $1.00, so being able to buy 4 boxes for less than a buck and actually get some change was a winner to me! I could usually stretch those 200 rds. to last a full week, but sometimes it was tough to do! WYT-P Skyhunter

  39. I am selling my Springfields to build on my CZ and Sig collection. The pistol is in very good condition with very few rounds fired. Maybe 75 total. PRICE = $375 Three (3) six-round mags - nylon case The handgun is located in Lebanon, TN, 37087. Acceptable forms of payment include cash (if sold locally), bank cashier check, or USPS money order. Local buyers will be asked to complete a TN Firearms Bill of Sale and present a valid TN driver's license or TN Handgun Carry Permit to show proof of being the age of 21 years or older. If asked to ship the item, I only ship to an FFL dealer at an additional charge of $45. It is the buyer's responsibility to have the FFL dealer send the seller a copy of the FFL license, so the shipment can comply with applicable regulations. I am a private seller and not a firearm dealer.

  40. I finally was able to get to a Rangemaster Instructor course this weekend, after several years of bad luck/timing. It was worth the wait. Tom Givens and Assistant Instructors Dr. Andy Anderson and Jeff Boren were simply fantastic. The facility and staff at Boondocks FTC were truly top of the line. The three days of coursework, a mix of classroom and range skills, was fairly intense, and the standards are high. Anything under 90% in either the shooting qualification or the written test will be considered a failure, and you will not receive a certificate. While our class outperformed the average washout rate of 15%, we still had one of our number not pass. I enjoyed getting to know the other students; who were great people and shooters to the last. Considering their skills and professionalism, the class averaged scores of 97.4 on the Qualification and 94.6 on the written test. Given these performances, I was both surprised and excited to receive the class Top Shot Award for the highest average between the two.
