  2. "You've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky? ' Well, do you, punk?" - Inspector Callahan Thinning out my safe queens. Someone would give this nice Model 29 a better home than my safe. Not really looking for trades at this time. For sale is my Model 29-2 with the Dirty Harry 6" barrel (yeah, he also used an 8" version in the movies). It is pinned and recessed. The felt in the presentation box is non-existent at this point. I just never bother to replace the plastic/felt insert. My S&W catalog dates the serial number to 1972 1979 (opps, double checked). It has the 6" barrel. $1400 $1200 in the Mt. Juliet area.

  4. I think this is pretty much what most people are going to do. I wish them all the success in the world as I would love to see the NRA become what Giffords and Brady thinks it is. The linchpin of everything is to keep an eye on if they are taking action to reduce the size of the board. If no action is taken to reduce the size of the board to a proper level, then you know they’re full of it. The entire construction of the current NRA board is to enable graft and prevent accountability. Without fixing that, there is no fixing the NRA.

  9. I've got one of their complete SOPMOD defender lowers, I'd put a Geissele trigger in it but unused otherwise. I'd pull that out. Also put an A2 grip on it, but still have the ergo it came with. If you are lookin for a bare receiver or smokin deal, may not be the right one for ya.

  10. After buying some daily deals, I got an email talking about their new steel case ammo. Been hearing about it coming for over a year but now it's here. 45cpr for 7.62x39 is not bad considering the Azerbaijani stuff is the same price. I hope they sell a bazillion rounds and keep making more. American Steel Case 7.62x39

  16. I'm with you @Rainsford. I've had my safety education completed since 1996 and I've never been. I don't have close friends that hunt or own land. I don't own land and asking random folks if i can go shoot wildlife on their property seems unlikely. Plus i don't feel like getting shot by a moron on public land.

  20. I have the MC9 and absolutely love it. It’s probably one of the most accurate handguns of its size that I have shot. The trigger is great as well. I have about 600 rounds through it with no issues. I also have the M&P Shield Plus. While it is a great handgun, I just can’t shoot it as well as the MC9. I have about 500 rounds through it with no issues as well. I would suggest you try a few out at the rental counter, if you can find them, or see if a buddy has one you can try and see which one you can shoot better. If you are ever around Murfreesboro, I’d be happy to meet you at the range sometime and let you try either one.

  24. Went to my Cardiologist yesterday. She was encouraging. Said she though I can get back a lot of heart flow, that I lost, with good diet, diabetic numbers in check, and Cardiac Rehab if I take it seriously and work at it. They are going to check my heart output, on July 2, to see how much I have improved. I have a trip set for August, to Alaska, on a cruise ship. She said not to cancel it because she thinks I will have improved enough to make the trip. Go for Rehab today at 1:00. Going to do it 3 days per week if I can. This will be my 3rd time at Rehab. Got work to do!

  26. I know it’s not on your list, but the P365 platform is really sweet. I personally carry a P365XL (first gen) with a Holosun and love the pistol. Before this I carried a shield 9 2.0, or a Springfield XD in 45acp. The P365 is just a really comfortable pistol for me to carry (AIWB) and shoot.

  27. Kill the shooter. It's that simple. It ain't for everybody. That teacher can be a preacher's daughter, or an Army Ranger. Right now, an ex Army Ranger has to let some nut go room to room, and wait for his turn to die, where he's more than capable of killing the threat.

  29. That training comes from the Universities where they go to school originally. Just look at the demonstrations going on campuses now. The Ivey League colleges are the worst. They spue hatred and distrust of anything to do with guns, period. People are sheep.

  31. So I had the chance to visit the range this AM for my Rugers first outing- It did real well-no malfunctions-eats any ammo-and is accurate with all weights I tried- No brass wreckage and no malfunctions-this is going to hurt some of the Ruger haters- I sighted it in at 100 yards with only 10 rounds and shot another 10 just for fun- Doesn't recoil any worse than my 30-30 with 150 Interlocks- I believe they call this 1 MOA-at 100 yards Forgot to add ammo- 150gr Federal Power Point- 165 Federal Match- 170 AAC Match All fed and extracted as designed- The target is with 170gr AAC Match-

  34. I haven't dove deep into this (yet anyway) but from what I have seen so far it seems to me that this won't change much of anything. "Attorney General Merrick Garland said: "If you sell guns predominantly to earn a profit, you must be licensed." From what I previously know of the ATF regs on this issue, the ATF has the ability to decide if someone is selling firearms for profit and there is no magic number of sales that must be made for them to declare that the individual is selling for profit. Technically, a guy who finds a smoking deal can't legally (per ATF) buy a gun with the intention to resell and earn a profit. That would be a violation. However, I wholeheartedly believe that while buying a single gun with the intent of turning a profit may violate ATF policy, a guy selling 50 guns out of a collection does not. But that's just my perception. As always, anything the ATF does, I don't support, and I wish they would go the way of yesterday's lunch.
