So have you ever just been SO excited about a potential new hobby that you tell all your family? Being good people they want to help you pursue your new passion. They really don't know where to buy the stuff, but they try. Isn't that important part? Then you realize that the equipment for your other 42 hobbies pretty much prevents you from adding anything else. Or the wife says that anyway. About the time you realize (are told) this, work does it's best to suck out your soul by trippling the workload and reducing manpower. So another nail in the coffin of a new hobby. Then the final nail pounds in when you realize just how crazy it is having 2 kids in college. I mean, I know I am not the only one here that fits this situation. Well short story long. this leaves me holding some Dick's Sporting Goods gift cards that I am not going to let myself use. Yeah, I decided that all on my own. really..... I figure someone on here looking for golf, Kayak. Yeti. or other sports gear might find them more useful. I mean even if you don't like the store, the cash is already spent. Not like you are giving them anything. Maybe you already have a purchase in mind anyway. Stanley mugs anyone? So here is a chance to save some on that next sporty purchase if you read this far.. I have cards totaling $609.23. I would take $550 shipped for them. Or I can just provide you the card numbers to use online. These also work on the Public Lands website from my understanding. Might be open to some pretty limited partial trades, but like I said, space is part of the issue here. Question? PM me please. That way this thread doesn't get longer than it already is.1 point

Putting together a new thread for this. Hard to find in original condition . Ruger blackhawk 41 magnum new in box. Never fired, model does not have transfer bar safety and was never sent it to get it done. Meaning this model is untouched and unfired. Still has the factory paperwork in the box. 40 series serial number dates it between '72-'73. Located in Mt Juliet. Asking 1400. Price reflects condition. Thanks for looking!1 point

Ed Brown magazines are checkmate magazines and very good in all calibers. There 8 round 45 are longer bodied and bot 7 round magazines made for 8 rounds. I just did the ED B exchange for six 9mm magazines. If you are sending about four or less the exchange isn’t worth it because you pay shipping both ways.1 point

Set of heat treated steel plinking targets. I bought these at a Knoxville Gun Show about 8 years ago. Never got around to trying them out. The smaller one is 1/4 inch thick for .22LR. The Larger one is 3/8 inch thick for .223. $50 for the pair. SOLD Nice set of Altamont Service Grips for S&W K and L Frame Round Butt. I bought these new thinking one day I would run across a Model 66 21/2 to put them on. Ended up with an L frame 3 inch instead. I think the L frame looks a little big for service grips so these are for sale. $40 Allen Soft Case for Cricket 22 rifle. Has two zippered side pockets. About 30 inches long. Stiil in the plastic wrapper. $15 Located in Lenoir City.1 point

I saw one report that said 14 injured 2 dead. Not sure it was the same event. Typical Memphis evening.1 point

Night hunting for pigs and using dogs would be great too. Hogs absolutely tear up and destroy everything when they invade an area and the regs should reflect that1 point

Mecgars are supposedly good to go in 9mm, and even in the 10rd 9mm variety.1 point

Blanton's Original - sealed bottle with bag/box. T stamped horse if you are trying to make a set. $110 Blanton's Gold - sealed bottle with bag/box. T stamped horse if you are trying to make a set. $260 I bought these because they were available but I'd rather drink normal Buffalo Trace or Eagle Rare, and will consider trades for either of those. Located in Columbia, can meet around the area. Must be 21+.1 point

There is a gun show going on in Knoxville thru Sunday. Ran into a buddy that has a table. A friend of his is passing away, and my buddy is selling off his powder and various primers. I saw LR in 5K boxes (Federal) and CCI bench rest., plus others. I purchased a 8 pounder of Win 748 for half today’s price and bricks of LR. snooze and lose1 point

I just got back from the show. They did not have what I was looking for but I was surprised at the selection of weaponry. Lots of lever guns available. Plenty of AR platform acc and weapons but not too much as in the past. Lots of revolvers and bolt guns. I didn't really see any "bargains" as such but prices seemed to be reasonable to high range. I noted that most sellers seemed to be willing to negotiate within reason. There seemed to be a lot more individuals looking to sell their weapons wandering about. Not near as much t-shirt/bumper sticker/jerky etc. as I have seen in the past.1 point

My default mags are MecGar. I have some McCormick Shooting Stars as well, and they have been reliable. I've got a couple of Wilson mags, but don't see that they work any better than the MecGar. They are prettier, though!1 point

I've been shooting 1911s for a lot of years. Even shot IDPA with one for about 12 years. Lots of companies make decent range mags. Metalform makes Colt's factory mags and they're cheaper straight from their website. I traded into a batch of Ed Brown mags a while back and they seem to be good. Mec-Gar is known to make good stuff. But the only mags I'll use for carry or competition is Wilson Combat. The toughest and most reliable 1911 magazines you can get. They ain't cheap, but they're worth it.1 point

Without any type of spoiler, I've heard it's not particularly great. I hear that there's no backstory for the war. The factions are unbelievable and that the main characters have no backstory. So it's just a movie showing the horrors of civil war. I also heard that the movie doesn't have any real world politics in it, which is a positive at least. So there's a war we don't understand with groups that don't make sense told from the perspective of people we know nothing about. Could work? Maybe? I dunno. It'll be on Netflix or Prime in a month regardless. "Better on VHS"1 point

I pray God touches your body like he has touched your soul and your faith is rewarded with more time to fulfill HIS will on Earth. Praise God for giving you more time with your wife and for filling your mind with peace at such a terrifying time.1 point

Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. Getting Dr and Physical Therapy in place today. Also need to do follow-up visit to my Cardiologist at Nashville's ST Thomas West and my local family DR. Getting started on the uphill climb and praying for some success. First time I have started in such a whole but that is life. To borrow from Minie Pearl. "I'm just so proud to be here."1 point

Well thanks to the new BS by the alphabets I wager this show will be the last as we know it. If you thought the jerky hawkers and gutter guard salesman were bad before wait until they rely on them for a larger % of their table sales lol. Ironically enough I bought tables for this show prior to Garland running his knob polisher so I'll be there for better or worse. Gonna be interesting. If you do decide to go Sunday give me a heads up and we will get together on our business1 point

Wifey came up with a question. She wants the T-shirt without the back imprinting...only the logo on the left breast. What do you think of this? Maybe a different front pattern? Just something near the logo size?1 point

I have taken the position over the past few years that if I think I might want it or need it in the future, I get it as soon as possible without paying a premium due to demand. I figure, if I end up not wanting it or needing it, I can sell it (though this may get more difficult due to the increasing BS). Prices probably won't go down in the future especially with inflation and even if I take a little hit selling it, it was worth it. I believe we should all take this position with things like parts, magazines and other accessories as well. People often forget about what it takes to keep something running after they purchase it.1 point

I just saw that SilencerShop posted a video on this. They mention that, "the ATF has confirmed this is the new norm". Well, until there is a new norm... as we all know from experience. Let's hope this is correct but, hope for the best and expect bureaucracy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNTnjDL1uXM1 point
