While I owned several classics in the 60's and 70's ( think 55 Nomad and 57 Bel Air hardtop) my first taste of a true muscle car was a 69 Road Runner. Damn I loved that car!7 points

My boys and I are working on fixing this up. It's taken a lot longer than I'd hoped but we're getting there. My wife's granddad bought it new. While I was able to drive it across town to our house, we've had to do a lot of stuff to get it running reliably. Almost there. Trying to use it to teach them about wrenching. I'd love to put an LS in it, but just trying to get the 4.3 running well for now.5 points

I’ve bought 3 92’s between 2019 - 2022 that came from the TN plant. All 3 were web orders, sight unseen. 2019 - 92G Brigadier Volunteer. Absolutely perfect. 2019 - 92 Compact. Action fit issues heavy galling and shavings in the action. The locking block was shaving pieces off the frame. Factory obviously doesn’t check after test firing. Sent to Beretta and received new replacement gun approx a week later. The replacement was perfect. Nov 2022 - Wilson 92G Centurion. Almost perfect. It’s technically perfect but pet peeve for 92 fans when the barrel lockup doesn’t leave barrel centered in slide, rather slightly offset. Not much you can do. it’s cosmetic and not considered a defect. it doesn’t effect how the gun shoots. Sometimes a locking block swap may help center. It’s the downside of ordering over the web versus hand selecting at the LGS if you are ok paying the extra $200 - $300 for one of these with a centered barrel. tbh, with the premium on the Wilsons and the marketing that they hand select parts for fit, I thought it was ironic that gun had the offset when the two other ‘cheap’ of the shelf 92’s didn’t. while 1 out of 3 doesn’t seem great, the customer service and call back I got from a supervisor on the 92 compact with turnaround on a new replacement was outstanding. full marks. For a standard gun that is not significantly higher priced at an LGS, I would have zero hesitation getting one I could lay hands on. The issues that cause concern can usually be felt in cycling the action or are visually obvious with a light in the action / taking the slide off if allowed. and you can avoid an off centered barrel too lol.2 points

2003 Colt Python Elite 4" in Royal Blue. Unfortunately I do not have the original box/papers. Some very minor holster wear under the crane. It's wearing a set of Eagle grips - the originals, sadly, are long gone. Otherwise, it's in fine shape. Feel free to hit me up with any questions. Not looking for any trades with this one. Thanks, y'all. $31001 point

$1650 shipped I have added my Cool Fire Trainer specially made for the Shadow 2 and a Blade Tech Holster to this listing. The price has been adjusted to $1750. The trainer is the best dry fire trainer made. It allows you to practice trigger work in the comfort of your home with felt recoil. This is a $300 value. There is a picture of the trainer system and holster in the comments. This Competition Ready CZ Shadow 2 from the CZ Custom Shop has everything a top competitive shooter would want. CZ Custom Shop has taken the most popular DA/SA pistol in competitive shooting sports to an expert level. This Custom Tungsten Grey Polycoat finish sets it apart from the rest by looks, but it’s the internals that set it apart by performance. The CZ Custom shop has done a complete trigger job with competition hammer, improved short reset trigger, 13 lb mainspring, extended firing pin, extended firing pin spring, 11 lb recoil spring for competition shooting, and a short reach trigger. The trigger weights have been set to 7.5 to 8.5 lbs in double action and 3 to 4 lbs for single action. If you have experienced CZ custom trigger jobs before you know they are some of the best in the business with no stacking, ultra smooth movement, a defined and the the crisp break of a 1911. The gun comes with the original box, two test targets (second one was from when it was sent back in to add short reach trigger), and invoice/order sheet. The gun has been shot and holstered. Round count is under 500 with this one. There are a couple small marks on the finish that are shown in the pictures. Price is $1750 and located in Lebanon, TN. Thanks and feel free to reach out with any questions. Not really looking to trade but open to offers. This gun will need to be transferred through a local FFL.1 point

Putting together a new thread for this. Hard to find in original condition . Ruger blackhawk 41 magnum new in box. Never fired, model does not have transfer bar safety and was never sent it to get it done. Meaning this model is untouched and unfired. Still has the factory paperwork in the box. 40 series serial number dates it between '72-'73. Located in Mt Juliet. Asking 1400. Price reflects condition. Thanks for looking!1 point

thought I'd kick this out. I read the funny stuff every day. A few members had commented on a Muscle car pic posted. I was 7 years old when Hot Wheels came out, I had some of the originals until my second divorce. I grew up with muscle cars, hot rods and choppers. (and long hair, bell bottoms, and all the other stuff) I am a machine nut. I love mechanical stuff for whatever reason. I have seen all of these cars new, ridden in a lot, and even drove a few. I remember all of the styles we have gone through. Read Hot Rod and Car Craft religously in my younger days. Looking back at some of the stuff makes me cringe but it was whatever was in style at the time. One post I read today was about keeping these old rides original specifically tire/wheel combos. And if that is what you like great! I was a hot rodder, nothing stayed factory original if I owned it and 99% of the old cars were modified. On the specific of tire/wheel combos, remember, a LOT of the muscle cars were ordered with the cheapest OE stuff because they were getting aftermarket "mags" on the day after delivery. There's a segment now that is rebuilding these as "day two" street cars with air shocks and tires sticking out 4 inces from the quarter panels. I remember this and don't like it. We have the skills and tech to keep the ride height down and narrow the rear so that it all fits. And this actually WORKS better so if you are going to modify, why not do it the way it SHOULD have been originally? That's just my opinion of course. Anyway, I could never buy an original survivor or restored muscle car because I'd modify it and drive the hell out of it. That's what they were built for. Same reasoning for my not buying unfired collectable firearms that I would love to own, I'd shoot it. So after all the rambling, what is your favorite muscle car and why? Would you restore original or modify it? Yes, the 1970 Coronet R/T is the top of my list without question or Challenger. 70 Challenger is in the top 5 as is 70 Cyclone. And all MUST have a big block.1 point

Looking to move my S&W Model 22-4, 4" N frame in .45 acp. Includes a dozen moon clips, two simply rugged holsters, 1 in plain tan and 1 in black gator with IWB straps, and a set of Houge Miculek grips. $1200 cash, my only trade interest would be a high end 1911, especially one made by Standard Manufacturing. Gun is in great shape with no rust, scuffs or scratches.1 point

The 308 is a good all-around caliber. I purchased an AR 15 last year. I did not practically like the 556/223 caliber as I carried one in Vietnam. Still not much on that caliber however I just decided to purchase my Springfield Armory Saint because I still can. I went to Outpost Armory, in Murfreesboro, after a S W AR, but the sales guy convinced me to purchase the Saint. The all metal rifle along with metal sights appealed to me even though it weighs a tad bit more. I have always favored metal guns. Go for it if you think you want it. I did. I will say I did have a Ruger Ranch Hand Gen II, in 223/556, and have really enjoyed plinking with it. The gen II's are a little more accurate than the I's were. I like mine.1 point

I had the 2nd ugliest car in my whole HS. It was a light green 1971 Dodge Coronet that had been wrecked by the PO. It had a white passenger front door, a dark green right fender, and some genius had tried to peel off the white vinyl top, but got lazy and never finished. It only had 1st and 2nd gear (3rd and reverse were both out). I paid $175 for that car and drove the wheels off of it. My friends called it the booger-mobile and I loved that car. It was surprisingly fast with that 318 V8 in it.1 point

My best friend in High School had a Red with Black stripes. 68 Chevelle 398 auto with rolled and pleated Leather seats. We drove it to Parris Island to pick him up after Boot Camp graduation brings back memories1 point

I agree the remake sucked. Loved the original but The California Kid may be my favorite. Not that I root for the bad guy but the Sheriff's car was bad cool and the coupe is an icon. My cousin had a 68 Marina blue 396 auto Chevelle SS. One of the prettiest Chevys ever.1 point

Yup. My absolute favorite car movie ever. The orginal, not that 1997 abomination remake. My dad had 1970 Chevelle, red with black stripes, 396 big block with a big cam and heads, backed up by a 4 speed. That would also be a bucket list car.1 point

I’ll give a small sample. I bought an apx carry on a whim at my LGS when they had a rebate running in 2020. Tolerances were off. Slide was too tight, even after polishing the feed ramp would get a stovepipe. It had the worst trigger I’ve ever used, they say factory it’s supposed to be DA 12.5 and SA maybe 6.5 (going off of memory) but I swear it was more. Very spongy as well. Worst trigger I’ve used other than the early middle SCCY/SKYY triggers. Thought I couldn't shoot it worth a damn because of the ridiculously heavy pull and was consistently landing rounds low left. Handed it to a friend with pistol skills and trigger time and he had the same issue. Sights were also off. One of the few guns that I’ve sold outright. I follow a lot of firearm threads and will say that everyone complains of the fit and finish on the Gallatin guns. Very few complaints about the A400s that are made there. I’d consider getting an A400 from that plant but I already have a 1301. Small sample size. I wouldn’t do it. I also looked into doing maintenance for them as it’s close to home and the pay scale from operators and up is severely low for the industry. Seems gun manufactures kind of hope they get gun people to work for poverty wages, and that was also echoed on a S&W forum regarding their plant workers. Would explain QA issues. Small sample size. I personally will not buy a handgun unless it’s manufactured at the Italy plant. Would consider a shotgun. I think their rifle line is ugly as sin.1 point

Mine would be something like this. I like Toyotas, but I’ve always been a Ford guy, too. I also like this guy’s attitude and would probably do pretty much the same thing if I had the cheddar.1 point

Finally spent some time in the shop with my pops back when it was cold. Built an Alamo style bowie just because it was cool. Used 1084 hot rolled bar stock, 2.t" wide by 1/4" thick. Blade is almost 3" wide and a foot long. Through tang construction with brass ring and butt cap, mild steel guard that was hot punched and scrolled, then fit hot and quenched for a friction fit. Im pretty proud of this one, and still building memories with Dad at 70.1 point

When i was 16, a guy offered to sell my father a 1969 roadrunner for $3,000 for me to drive. My dad said "that's too much car for him" (He drove a GTX as a youngster). So instead, he forced me into a "safe car" a 1990 buick regal 2 door. I loved my father dearly, but I never forgave him for that. It's a wonder I ever met a woman. It looked like this I wound up with this0 points

And this is where the ATF will play pigeon chess. (If you don't know what pigeon chess is, pigeon chess is playing chess with a pigeon. Even if you beat the pigeon at chess, he's going to $#!t all over the board and tell everyone else he won). I expect that they will try to make examples out of a few (otherwise) law abiding citizens. A savvy defendant won't be able to recall exactly what he paid for it and know whether or not he is actually making a profit due to inflation and whatnot . But I'm the process is going to spend so much money in legal fees to clear his name that he will never to a private transaction again. The silver lining here is that it gives gun guys the ability to say "sorry honey, I just can't sell any guns, it's too risky."0 points
