  1. Let her see, handle and shoot as many different guns as possible. But in the end, let HER make the choice.

  2. Another vote for the lcr 38. My wife doesn’t actually have that one but she does have the lcr in 327 Federal magnum. 6 rounds vs 5 and she can try 5 different calibers . 32 acp on up. She also has an assortment of revolvers mostly 38 S&W which she likes.

  3. Yep, take her to the rental counter at your local range and let her try whatever she wants.

  4. I purchased this tire thumper and small felling axe in this color to match the colors on my old side by side. They were usually with me on the trails or under the rear floor mats in my Ram, over the rear floor storage compartments that carried matching color ratchet straps, portable air pump, tow straps, tire plugs and tool bag roll. I could always justify having them with me. I also have a pretty hefty walking stick with a retention strap that I purchased to use when I had jury duty in downtown Memphis. Never a problem with security or the court during the period I served.

  5. I bought an Ruger LCP in .380 for the boss, and she was comfortable shooting it but was unable to rack the slide reliably. I ended up buying a LCR in 357 Mag, which she's just as comfortable shooting (loaded with 38 SPL). She wasn't going to be swapping mags in a fire fight anyway, so the wheel gun was better for her.

  6. Absolutely make sure it fits her hand then you can move on from there Small hands look for something like an LC9 to start with single stack slim Not the greatest firearm but not a bad choice but it would give you an idea of what is comfortable in her hand

  12. I agree with trying out plenty at the rental counter and see what she likes best. My wife tried the LC9, the LCP, the Shield Plus, P365, and plenty others. To my surprise, she ended up getting the LCR in .38. I also have a LCR in 9mm, but she always goes back to the .38. The M&P with the EZ rack slide is also a good option.

  16. $1650 shipped I have added my Cool Fire Trainer specially made for the Shadow 2 and a Blade Tech Holster to this listing. The price has been adjusted to $1750. The trainer is the best dry fire trainer made. It allows you to practice trigger work in the comfort of your home with felt recoil. This is a $300 value. There is a picture of the trainer system and holster in the comments. This Competition Ready CZ Shadow 2 from the CZ Custom Shop has everything a top competitive shooter would want. CZ Custom Shop has taken the most popular DA/SA pistol in competitive shooting sports to an expert level. This Custom Tungsten Grey Polycoat finish sets it apart from the rest by looks, but it’s the internals that set it apart by performance. The CZ Custom shop has done a complete trigger job with competition hammer, improved short reset trigger, 13 lb mainspring, extended firing pin, extended firing pin spring, 11 lb recoil spring for competition shooting, and a short reach trigger. The trigger weights have been set to 7.5 to 8.5 lbs in double action and 3 to 4 lbs for single action. If you have experienced CZ custom trigger jobs before you know they are some of the best in the business with no stacking, ultra smooth movement, a defined and the the crisp break of a 1911. The gun comes with the original box, two test targets (second one was from when it was sent back in to add short reach trigger), and invoice/order sheet. The gun has been shot and holstered. Round count is under 500 with this one. There are a couple small marks on the finish that are shown in the pictures. Price is $1750 and located in Lebanon, TN. Thanks and feel free to reach out with any questions. Not really looking to trade but open to offers. This gun will need to be transferred through a local FFL.

  17. I have a 2006 Jeep Rubicon for sale. It is manual with Dana 44's. It has 105,000 miles on it. My wife's car died and I can't justify keeping her. It has a lift on it, but I am not sure on the exact height. It is a daily driver for me, but we need to replace her car. There is no rust on the frame. It has a few cosmetic blemishes, very minor. I will list everything that I have done to it in the last year. New Serpentine belt, new rear Rancho shocks. New ball joints in the front. New valve cover gasket. All new belts. Installed a new OPDA (crown). New spark plugs. New Tires, Cooper Discoverer ATR3 LTX 285's (less than a 1000 miles on them.). New multifunction switch. New door bushings. New drain plug. New water pump and clutch fan. New left rear axel bearing and seal. The check engine light comes and goes for the EVAP line (common among TJ's). The jeep runs perfectly. The fog lamps are not wired. They were on there from the previous owner. I am asking $13,500 for it. One caveat, I still have a lien on it so we will have to do the transaction at my bank to close out the loan. In the picture the sidesteps are removed now. When it rains hard there is a small drip that happens on the passengers side. I keep a tarp on it so this doesn't happen. I haven't worked hard to find where it drips from.

  18. Price dropped to $600. Looking to move my Colt Detective Special. The colt serial lookup dates it as a 1969. Carried a lot in a pocket holster, shot very little. Its a post-66 short frame, good shape, some bluing wear from carry, and a ding in the right side stock. Shoots good, and a dandy pocket gun or collectible. Moving on to different things. $600 around Knoxville, Lenoir City, Oak Ridge, etc.

  19. SPM CMP US etched Winchester 52D with J.W. Fecker scope. I am fairly sure it is an 8X, but these weren't marked with a power. It isn't less than 8X. Scope is clear and cross hairs are really good. It shows some discoloration due to it's age but still in really nice shape (Fecker stopped producing scopes in the 50's). These are precursors to the Unertl's and were what the Unertl's were based off of. Stock was cleaned up and has been redone, but it still has some of it's original dings, etc. Metal has typical marks as almost all CMP guns do. Shoots good. I just got a couple more 52's so moving this one $Sold firm for rifle and scope. Will sell separate. Meet within a reasonable (30 min) distance of Chapel Hill.

  21. I tried the same thing with an old house on my property. They wouldn’t do it due to asbestos in the floors but said if I removed the floors they would do it. I have a barn similar to yours I wouldn’t mind taking down as well. Good luck finding someone.

  22. Our kids aren’t old enough to venture out any further than the neighborhood independently, but we do not utilize any sort of personal tracking software at all. Of course the kids (12&7) don’t have any personal electronic devices either.) Have no plans to as of now. I have a pretty immediate and intense visceral repulsion to the idea to be honest.

  23. All my family is on Life360. We don't use it to watch people but to let us know where we are. Its been very helpful. Me and the wife do have to intentionally not invade the kids space, but they can see us too. It works for us. My kids are 21, 19, 17, and 14. I think it helped that we started it as a way for them to know where me and my wife were, when they were younger and they couldn't drive. It's good accountability if nothing else.

  24. This is such a better situation to be in than the other way around. When it’s not needed anymore - you can be sure they’ll let you know. The world has gotten weird. I can’t imagine how a single woman must feel a lot of the time these days.

  25. I was about to send this off to get it optic milled but descided to see whats out there first. Looking to trade for a RMR optic ready pistol or maybe a Glock 21 or 30. it was bought new by me and have only put a few hundred flawless rounds through either barrel. The only modifications that have been done is a Glock (-) connector and a Glock 6 pound trigger spring giving it a smooth trigger with about a 4.5 to 5 pound break. I also added the extended take down lever and slide lock... I can include original parts if needed. Comes with everything from the factory plus10 mags and a lone wolf 9mm conversion barrel (works great with no modifications, just drop it in) I think a value of $600 is fair

  26. FOR SALE—2004 SCAG TURF TIGER ZERO-TURN MOWER Well maintained, 1 owner 2004 Scag Turf Tiger for sale 61 inch cut 27 HP Kohler engine 1230 hours $3500.00 TGO Price…listed elsewhere for 3600.00 Built like a tank with HD hydraulics, HD spindles, and HD decking. I am the original owner of this mower. Good tires. Good overall condition. Never use for commercial mowing. Never wrecked. Always run with non-E gas Always kept inside. Regularly serviced. Many new parts. Runs good, but see note below. New parts within the last year. Rear main seal Fuel pump Carburetor Deck drive belt Pump drive belt PTO switch Upgraded ignition coils All standard maintenance—air/oil/fuel filters, etc New parts within the last two years. PTO clutch Starter Seat Battery Cutter deck belt Notes—as I mentioned, I am the original owner of this zero-turn. I have always maintained it and kept it inside. Any service that I could not do was done by mechanic. I am looking to get a new mower, so this one needs a new home. Does it start? Yes Does it cut good? It’s a Turf Tiger with the 61 inch advantaged deck, so of course it cuts good. Can I test drive it? Yes, and I wouldn’t sell it to you if you didn’t. Can I take it home for a week and try it out? No, but you’re welcome to mow my lawn with it while I sit on the porch and sip sweet tea. Does it have a warranty? No, it’s a 2004 Turf Tiger, and although they’re built like tanks, it sold “as is, where is.” Will you deliver it to me? Maybe. If it is paid for in full, and for the reasonable sum of $25.00 to cover my gas, I will deliver if you’re within 20 miles of downtown Columbia, Tennessee… Assuming you can work with my schedule. Does it come with anything extra? I probably have several things like filters or other miscellaneous things that will go to the buyer free of charge. OK, all that sounds great….. So what’s wrong with it? I want to make it clear that I am not a mechanic. That said, I am mechanically inclined and anything that I could not do was either done by the Scag dealer or a qualified small engine mechanic. It does use a small amount of oil. The parking brake could use an adjustment (tightening—I just never got around to it) One of the deck lift assist springs broke last summer, and I have temporarily replaced it with some TSC springs. The mower deck anti-scalp wheels will probably need replaced at some point in the future. One of those little shock absorber things on a steering arm needs replaced. Mower still steers fine without it, but that control arm is just a bit more touchy. The only issue that I think is important, running-wise, relates to using the mower on steep sideways inclines. This mower will go straight up or straight down a 45 degree incline with no issues. But on a very steep incline running the mower sideways will occasionally cause it to sputter. I’m told by a mechanic the most likely cause is the new carburetor that was put on last summer needing adjusted. One of the hydraulic hoses will probably need to be replaced at some point in the future. (I find a few drops on the concrete where I park it after mowing for several hours) So that’s it as far as I know. I will be more than happy to speak to you in person if you have any further questions or would like to schedule a time to come out and see the mower. Mower is located near Columbia, TN So the fine print…. Price 3500.00 TGO members Do I take trades? NO Do I want trades? NO Will I accept any trades?..... NO…. And let me stop this before it goes any further. This is a CASH or PAYPAL FRIENDS AND FAMILY sale only. I don’t want your motorcycle, six dozen eggs a week once your chickens start laying, your wife, sister, girlfriend, or firstborn child in exchange for this Scag. Payments accepted? CASH or PAYPAL FRIENDS AND FAMILY only. Will you get a bill of sale? Yes Will I hold it for you? No. First come, first served Is it still available? This mower will be posted “for sale” on multiple sites, however all sale postings will be removed once the mower is sold, so if the ad is still up, it’s still available. How do I contact you? Text or call. I am often in areas with no cell service, so leave a message and I’ll call or text you back if I don’t answer. You can also message me here on TGO.

  30. Take her to Gunny’s in Maryville. They have a woman’s shooting class. They shoot several different guns in the class. My wife ended up buying a Glock 44 (22lr) because she really liked it and that’s was her favorite that she shot in the class. I then bought her a PROMAG 18rnd mag for it with Federal Punch ammo. She carries it in her purse and I hope she never needs to use it. I guess it’s better than a rock! But she made the decision even though I begged for at least a 380.
