  1. Finally spent some time in the shop with my pops back when it was cold. Built an Alamo style bowie just because it was cool. Used 1084 hot rolled bar stock, 2.t" wide by 1/4" thick. Blade is almost 3" wide and a foot long. Through tang construction with brass ring and butt cap, mild steel guard that was hot punched and scrolled, then fit hot and quenched for a friction fit. Im pretty proud of this one, and still building memories with Dad at 70.

  8. Been looking for good . 357 carry revolver and was curious about the K6S or a King Cobra. Willis68 had both and I got to handle them both and both are fantastic. The K6S was just so light, thin, slim, and modern feeling. At the same time, it felt solid and tight. I really liked the looks of the 2" barrel but really liked the increased ballistics of the 3". I got to say this is the most carriable 3" revolver I've ever held. Excited to get it to the range.

  9. I'm eight weeks into this and it was rough for a while but I'm getting there. Nothing happens fast but the little victories along the way keeps me going. I'm walking without a cane most of the time now and still going to therapy. I think I over did it today. It's swelled quite a bit tonight but I had to get out and enjoy this weather. I canceled getting the other one done until next winter. I couldn't go through it again so soon after the first. I do think it is going to be worth it when it's all said and done.

  22. Ok, by the text of the bill, this is out. What would you like to see included in a course? My initial thoughts are obviously the 4 Rules, plus the 4 Kid Rules for elelmentary age (Stop, Dont Touch, Move away, Tell an Adult), 4 Rules, plus how to clear a firearm for middle school, and the Legal portion of the ECP class for the high school

  23. Hang in there boatman. My left knee is not as good as what God gave me, but much better that all the pain with the old one. I will do it again when needed. My right knee is pretty bad but still responding to the shots every now and then. I don't think it will be long before I have to have it replaced. Go next week to get my left shoulder scoped because it is full of bone spurs, arthritis, and neve impingement, with a lot of pain in it. Just getting over Coved, and had to postpone the shoulder surgery. The coved was not as bad as the ear infection that came along with it. Still fighting the ear infection. I am on the second regiment of antibiotic, and it is slowly improving. As you know, gittin old is not for sissies. "Hang tuff boatman.

  26. A couple having been married for 35 years I’ve been through a lot. The man has always had a safe under his desk in the office. Told his wife don’t look in the safe. For 35 years she did not look in the safe. One day he had gone to run an errand and she looked in the safe. She found three eggs and $47. When the man got home, the wife said “I looked in the safe and found three eggs at $47“. The man said I asked you not to look in the safe. She said I can understand the $47 but what’s with the three eggs? The man said well to be honest with you every time I get little on the side I put an egg in the safe. The wife says well in 35 years three times a horrible. The wife asks what about the $47? The man said well every time I get a dozen eggs I sell them at the store for two dollars a dozen.

  28. I also purchased pull down surplus @ Knob Creek years ago, two different times. Never knew what the powder is, just to load it like BL(c)-2. Using ladder test on 7.62x51 and .30-06, I found that the powder charge is at the very bottom of BL(C)-2 using LC mil ammo as a standard. Don’t know about velocities as I just purchased the Garman unit.

  33. For sale is a minty S&W Model 325 Thunder Ranch revolver. It's a 45 ACP revolver. Pictures show the condition. Comes with several moon clips along with the appropriate tools to make stuffing/unstuffing the clips easy. $1200 in the Mt. Juliet area. Prefer a TN HCP holder for obvious reasons.

  34. True Detective Season 1. I don’t know how I didn’t watch it when it first came out (2014). Seasons 2 and 3 weren’t as good. Just started season 4. I have heard good things about it. Each season is different stories and different actors.
