This was Burley , my buddy and my other child. I raised him from a puppy. His mom was a Jack Russell and his father was a Black Lab ( imagine that situation with a step-ladder LOL) . He passed away a few years ago at the age of 17. He watched my son go from Kindergarten all the way through graduating college. He was my buddy. He rode in my lap , watched over my family and was just awesome ! The picture of him with the pistol was not meant to have him in it but he kept laying in front of the gun and it turned out to be one of his most majestic pictures. I love you and miss you Burley !4 points

I picked up a Tisas 2011 last week. Paid a little over $900 for it locally. It came with 2x17 round mags and a bushing wrench I'll probably never use. Trigger was 5.5# out of the box so I adjusted it to about 3# before taking it to the range. It fed and fired fine about 200 of my reloads, which were 135gr coated lead running about 1050 FPS. The only issue I had was brass to face. It would consistently put ejected cases on top of my head or in my face. I tightened up the extractor tension a bit but no dice. I reprofiled the ejector tip and now it ejects properly. Accuracy was good, easy to put them in one hole at 10 yards. Sight regulation was right on for my particular load but the rear sight gap was slightly wider than I’d like. Unfortunately, the rear sight seems like a unique dovetail so it might be difficult to replace it with a different aftermarket sight. Springfield Prodigy mags worked as well as the Tisas mags. Slide lock back was consistent with the Tisas mags, can’t remember about the Prodigy mags. The barrel uses a Clark-Para style ramp. The top of the ramp had a sharp rollover but it didn’t seem to impede feeding. The throat was long and a 9mm Manson finishing reamer removed no metal at all (the Prodigy required reaming). The bullet profiles I tend to use in my reloads will stick in barrels with short throats (like FN 509s) unless I load extra super short, so I'll ream the barrels with a finish reamer to cut a proper throat in them. Fortunately the Tisas shop thinks like I do :D One pet peeve was the sharp corner of the frame right below the serial number. Other manufacturers bevel this edge to varying degrees, but the Tisas had none at all. Depending on your grip and hand size, this could be a problem. If you have a high enough grip, this edge will rub a hole in you before too long. The manual said nothing at all about what red dot sights are supported, or what the optic screw pitch was. The slide seems to be cut directly for the mini RDS direct mount, the RMRCC pattern that is shared with the Holosun 407k/507k sights. I have a lot of 2011s of different flavors, and I’m favorably impressed with the Tisas DS, I give it two thumbs up.1 point

$1650 shipped I have added my Cool Fire Trainer specially made for the Shadow 2 and a Blade Tech Holster to this listing. The price has been adjusted to $1750. The trainer is the best dry fire trainer made. It allows you to practice trigger work in the comfort of your home with felt recoil. This is a $300 value. There is a picture of the trainer system and holster in the comments. This Competition Ready CZ Shadow 2 from the CZ Custom Shop has everything a top competitive shooter would want. CZ Custom Shop has taken the most popular DA/SA pistol in competitive shooting sports to an expert level. This Custom Tungsten Grey Polycoat finish sets it apart from the rest by looks, but it’s the internals that set it apart by performance. The CZ Custom shop has done a complete trigger job with competition hammer, improved short reset trigger, 13 lb mainspring, extended firing pin, extended firing pin spring, 11 lb recoil spring for competition shooting, and a short reach trigger. The trigger weights have been set to 7.5 to 8.5 lbs in double action and 3 to 4 lbs for single action. If you have experienced CZ custom trigger jobs before you know they are some of the best in the business with no stacking, ultra smooth movement, a defined and the the crisp break of a 1911. The gun comes with the original box, two test targets (second one was from when it was sent back in to add short reach trigger), and invoice/order sheet. The gun has been shot and holstered. Round count is under 500 with this one. There are a couple small marks on the finish that are shown in the pictures. Price is $1750 and located in Lebanon, TN. Thanks and feel free to reach out with any questions. Not really looking to trade but open to offers. This gun will need to be transferred through a local FFL.1 point

After 40+ years in the hobby, I have a couple. 1) You will never write down too much information. Keep a reloading/shooting journal for each caliber and or firearm. A younger me thought I would always remember X. Wrong!!!! Write it down and put it where you can find it. 2) If you see it for sale and think there is a chance you might ever be able to use it, take it home with you. I’ve never once wished I had less reloading supplies. What have you got to add???1 point

I have a couple of Form 4s pending and did one via CA. They already had THP down as the CLEO so I did not change it. I certified it a couple of weeks ago and so far, the CA process has been awesome. As for Eforms, this is an update that was posted on the HkPro forum. It is not my post and I am just passing it along: "The eForms system is NOT down. ATF is still using it to process forms and those forms are still flowing. Form 4's for individuals have recently seen turnaround times of ~30 days. You read that right. Form 4 in 30 days (or less). That is the goal and it is being reached. eForms is NOT currently available to the public. That is factual. Why is not available? It has nothing to do with the White House, Joe Biden, budget issues, or anything directed by Congress. The public facing side of eForms was breaking under the strain of a specific load that the system was not designed to handle or could not handle. ATF is addressing the issue. The system is expected to be available to the public in the near term."1 point

The guy at Outpost said he has carried one for a long time and really liked it. The thing came with 4 magazines, 2 15 rounders, and can carry up to 16 rounds with the extended mags. Might be just a small amount larger than the Max 9 I have. I really like the Ruger I have.1 point

I’d start with a solid cleaning. No penalty for total disassembly and proper lubrication of the entire thing.1 point

I've trolled Sardis a lot in the past. 16 ft rods, Johnson Century reel for line storage. 6 jigs 1 ft apart 6 rods out front 6 out the rear. That's before rules were changed. I now kayak and use trigger spin reels. Camp at Pat's Bluff and sometimes at Clear creek so I'm close to the honey hole.1 point

I just listed to the entire oral arguments. I don’t think we win this one. The lawyer arguing for the bumpstocks got his ass kicked.1 point

Working at the old Range USA I had the task of keeping 4 different full auto firearms working- I found out that there is lots of mechanical differences in the actions and mechanics- The fastest rate of fire we had was a Glock with a buzz switch owned by an ex state trooper- We had an HK MP5 that when working was kind of a hoot- None of these weapons could even be compared to anything with a bump stock- It's completely in the action and if these so called experts would actually do their home work it would be wonderful- SCOTUS justices mostly are college educated about paper work and probably cant figure out how a pair of scissors work-so everything has to be explicitly explained-1 point

This was a civil trial, not a criminal one. It'll have to be enough that Wayne is going to spend the rest of his life in financial destitution and the next ones holding the reigns know they're being watched. Ironically the NYAG might have done more good for the NRA in the long term here than could be had from internal discontent.1 point

The sad part is that amount doesn't come close to what was stolen. They destroyed a once highly regarded organization. I hope some jail time is given. Good riddance.1 point

We all make mistakes. Sometimes you find yourself having to break down those mistakes with a hammer type bullet puller. Forget about that irritating spring loaded case holder that comes with it. Instead, use the shell holder from your die set. It fits perfectly in the hammer, is fast and easy to use.1 point

I make up a folder with the targets I shoot when doing load development. I try to write down all the pertinent info about the load, such as brass make, primer, powder, bullet, the OAL, FL or NS brass, to document what the test loads do/perform on the target itself. This also helps me to keep from testing a combo 2x or more when that combo didn't meet expectations, etc. I may have several different folders for each gun depending on what I'm after. Sometimes just a powder change does not warrant a separate folder, unless I keep changing up some things to see if the load improves or not.1 point
