  1. This was Burley , my buddy and my other child. I raised him from a puppy. His mom was a Jack Russell and his father was a Black Lab ( imagine that situation with a step-ladder LOL) . He passed away a few years ago at the age of 17. He watched my son go from Kindergarten all the way through graduating college. He was my buddy. He rode in my lap , watched over my family and was just awesome ! The picture of him with the pistol was not meant to have him in it but he kept laying in front of the gun and it turned out to be one of his most majestic pictures. I love you and miss you Burley !

  4. Isn't the whole point of the hearing to explain the situation to the justices? The manner of that explanation is the lawyer's job. As stated, the justices then weigh the explanation against the existing law and give an interpretation.

  5. That's not a requirement of their job. Their job is to interpret law as it is written.

  6. I picked up a Tisas 2011 last week. Paid a little over $900 for it locally. It came with 2x17 round mags and a bushing wrench I'll probably never use. Trigger was 5.5# out of the box so I adjusted it to about 3# before taking it to the range. It fed and fired fine about 200 of my reloads, which were 135gr coated lead running about 1050 FPS. The only issue I had was brass to face. It would consistently put ejected cases on top of my head or in my face. I tightened up the extractor tension a bit but no dice. I reprofiled the ejector tip and now it ejects properly. Accuracy was good, easy to put them in one hole at 10 yards. Sight regulation was right on for my particular load but the rear sight gap was slightly wider than I’d like. Unfortunately, the rear sight seems like a unique dovetail so it might be difficult to replace it with a different aftermarket sight. Springfield Prodigy mags worked as well as the Tisas mags. Slide lock back was consistent with the Tisas mags, can’t remember about the Prodigy mags. The barrel uses a Clark-Para style ramp. The top of the ramp had a sharp rollover but it didn’t seem to impede feeding. The throat was long and a 9mm Manson finishing reamer removed no metal at all (the Prodigy required reaming). The bullet profiles I tend to use in my reloads will stick in barrels with short throats (like FN 509s) unless I load extra super short, so I'll ream the barrels with a finish reamer to cut a proper throat in them. Fortunately the Tisas shop thinks like I do :D One pet peeve was the sharp corner of the frame right below the serial number. Other manufacturers bevel this edge to varying degrees, but the Tisas had none at all. Depending on your grip and hand size, this could be a problem. If you have a high enough grip, this edge will rub a hole in you before too long. The manual said nothing at all about what red dot sights are supported, or what the optic screw pitch was. The slide seems to be cut directly for the mini RDS direct mount, the RMRCC pattern that is shared with the Holosun 407k/507k sights. I have a lot of 2011s of different flavors, and I’m favorably impressed with the Tisas DS, I give it two thumbs up.

  7. Walked into the lions den and did an interview with Van Jones, it will air next Sunday night at 8:00 Central. Jones is a Jackson, TN native and a graduate of UT Martin. An avowed communist, his crowning accomplishment was his tenure as Obama's "Green Jobs Czar", (from which he had to resign) now a commentator on CNN. The interview on my part lasted over an hour and a half, I doubt there will be 5 minutes used in the program if that, but I gave as good as I got. This is the trailer...

  9. I don't know why we expect judges to be familiar with every nuance in cases brought before them....especially in general courts like SCOTUS is. The lawyers did a good job of respectfully correcting them with facts. Most gun rights supporters don't understand bump stocks as a niche item given how ready they are to let the ban stand with little more than a shrug (looking at you, Trump). I'd also wager that 800 rds per second was a flub of 800 rds per minute, which is more reasonable if you extrapolate the bump stock fire rate out to 60 seconds minus any mag changes (since capacity is variable). Still realistically wrong, but there's no denying you can increase the rate of fire significantly beyond intended use of design like happened in the Las Vegas shooting...which is the big risk/threat seen.

  11. $1650 shipped I have added my Cool Fire Trainer specially made for the Shadow 2 and a Blade Tech Holster to this listing. The price has been adjusted to $1750. The trainer is the best dry fire trainer made. It allows you to practice trigger work in the comfort of your home with felt recoil. This is a $300 value. There is a picture of the trainer system and holster in the comments. This Competition Ready CZ Shadow 2 from the CZ Custom Shop has everything a top competitive shooter would want. CZ Custom Shop has taken the most popular DA/SA pistol in competitive shooting sports to an expert level. This Custom Tungsten Grey Polycoat finish sets it apart from the rest by looks, but it’s the internals that set it apart by performance. The CZ Custom shop has done a complete trigger job with competition hammer, improved short reset trigger, 13 lb mainspring, extended firing pin, extended firing pin spring, 11 lb recoil spring for competition shooting, and a short reach trigger. The trigger weights have been set to 7.5 to 8.5 lbs in double action and 3 to 4 lbs for single action. If you have experienced CZ custom trigger jobs before you know they are some of the best in the business with no stacking, ultra smooth movement, a defined and the the crisp break of a 1911. The gun comes with the original box, two test targets (second one was from when it was sent back in to add short reach trigger), and invoice/order sheet. The gun has been shot and holstered. Round count is under 500 with this one. There are a couple small marks on the finish that are shown in the pictures. Price is $1750 and located in Lebanon, TN. Thanks and feel free to reach out with any questions. Not really looking to trade but open to offers. This gun will need to be transferred through a local FFL.

  12. I have a 2015 Harley Sportster Seventy-Two for sale (1200cc). Low mileage (1,700 Miles) and always covered. It runs and has no issues. I have invested in Vance & Hines Slip-Ons, HD Sissy Bar, longer leather seat, and an updated circular instead of ham shaped air cleaner cover. I probably have an additional $1,300 in it from what was stock. There is a scratch/dent on bottom on one of the exhaust covers from rocks kicking up on it while riding in a gravel lot a few years ago. (See Image for close up). If that's bothersome you can purchase new covers for less than $200 and the bike will look brand new. $6,500. It' already paid off (I am the only person who has ever owned this bike) and I have Title In Hand. I love guns, so I'm willing to trade for things of equal value as well. Been looking for some KAC SR-15s and night vision binos. That's what I plan on using the money for anyways so if anyone has any solid trades I'm open to those as well. Message me for any additional questions.

  13. Fishermen are lining the spillway banks of the big 3 lakes in north MS. Some catching and some snagging. All are leaving with their limit. Tuesday I talked to a member of a face book group I'm on. His party started at Grenada early then Enid and was finishing up at Sardis before heading back to Memphis.

  15. Reminds me so much of my Molly. The poses that is. Molly loved to ride. Didn't care where we went, just got to get in the old truck and lean agains me or lay her head on my leg. She rarely hung out the window. That just didn't seem important to her. Lost her to cancer, not quite 2 years ago. Still hurts. I miss her running out to greet me. I just pray I'll be worthy enough to find her again in Heaven. That's all. If I look at more of these I'll be crying and have to explain it to my wife. But she understands.

  16. Never saw nor felt the need for me to own one. Did have the opportunity to fire one. Wasn't really impressed with it...but after have been around real sub-guns at shows; I thought myself a bit better informed than most touting the greatness of the bump-stock.

  26. Going to Outpost Armory, in Murfreesboro, to get a Max 9 for my Son-in-law, with my daughter. She wants to get one for his birthday. I will see if they have this rifle because I will purchase it if they do. Love lever guns and 22 LR. Have a Henry 38Spl/357 Mag. It is the most favorite rifle I have left. Everyone wants me to get it out when they visit. The 22 would be a good addition.

  31. I only really have 1 tip & it's as much shooting related as it is reloading. Actually, no. I have 2, but they're basically all rolled up together. This one will annoy & possibly anger some people, but I've never had it fail yet. When you look in any load data book, it'll show a 'min' & 'max' charge. Load your cases from min to max at 10% intervals. Only 1 of each. You're looking for pressure signs, not accuracy now. Now, shoot them 1 at a time, at any range. Hell, shoot them into the ground. But starting with the hottest. You shouldn't, but if you see any pressure signs with the hottest, grab one from the middle & then work up until you see pressure. Pick the load below pressure signs & load 30 of them. Also, learn to read real pressure signs. Extractors marks, ejector marks & bolt swipe at minimum. Primer flattening may, or may not be indicative of pressure. Don't rely on just that. Use that load to zero your scope & then shoot ALL the rest as a group. Everyone bases their accuracy from 3 or 5 round groups & that's not enough. I guarantee, pretty much every book load, from min to max, will shoot into roughly the same group size, given enough data points. 10 shots minimum, 30 is better. That 4th round 'flyer' is almost guaranteed to be part of the natural accuracy cone. You're just not shooting enough to notice. Here's a perfect example of why 3 & round groups don't tell the whole truth. If I'd stopped at 3, It'd be a sub .250 rifle ("all day, if i do my part" The group of 5 on the right would get me bragging that is a sub-MOA gun (ADIIDMP) In actual fact, when you combine the 2 & the 2 that most would call flyers (they weren't) is a 1½moa gun. And honestly, as hunting rifle go, that's pretty frikkin' stellar! There. That rattled a few feathers, didn't it?!

  36. Take this as absolute Gospel. You CAN NOT hide anything from a kid! They will find it! I do have a couple of guns stashed in convenient locations around my house. But on the rare occasion when a kid may come visiting, I lock up everything. If/when I ever get grandkids, all my guns will be locked up when they visit.

I have the SP 10 marine raider and the massive SP53 chopper US made and bomb proof, the survival knife I have from the army. For anyone that wants one of these there is some stock at different vendors but it is dwindling.
