SOLD For sale is a nice IBM M1 Carbine. Comes with 2 mags and approximately 600 rounds of ammo. 100 rounds are Magtech and approx 500 (I'm pretty sure this is as purchased but I can't be 100%) rounds Aguila in the ammo can. I won't sell the ammo separately unless the M1 sells to someone not interested in the ammo. $1500 in the Mt. Juliet area. Prefer a TN HCP holder for obvious reasons. If you don't the ammo, just let me know and we will figure something out.8 points

This was a civil trial, not a criminal one. It'll have to be enough that Wayne is going to spend the rest of his life in financial destitution and the next ones holding the reigns know they're being watched. Ironically the NYAG might have done more good for the NRA in the long term here than could be had from internal discontent.7 points

If they don’t take action to shrink that board to a size that effective for governance, then nothing can/will change. That’s the key to everything right there.5 points

The sad part is that amount doesn't come close to what was stolen. They destroyed a once highly regarded organization. I hope some jail time is given. Good riddance.5 points

Sorry to see that the one who got the scalp was NY AG Letitia James of the "Get Donald Trump" fame. This only adds to her momentum with the crazies. Whatever...I hope the future's brighter at the NRA.4 points

There have always been the blind loyalist that believe the NRA can do no wrong. They're part of the problem and the reason WLP was able to do the things he did and do it for so long. The antis are celebrating and thinking they won. Actually we won because they succeeded in doing what much of the membership has been trying to do for years. Wayne is gone and the NRA is all the better for it. Now to see what the new leadership is gonna do. Get back in the fight or continue the old ways.4 points

I know this photo is in the thread. But I wanted a threaded trapper in 30-30 so I made one from a really rough 1957 336. I had to find parts, cut down the barrel and I had Morgan Richey at Class 3 Machining thread the barrel. I think it turned out nice. If you want to let some of the subsonic 30-30 go, let me know. Ran across some surplus wool blankets that I haven’t seen before. Advertised as “Brand New 1950's Original Canadian Civil Defense Wool Blankets” by camoLOTS.com in Buffalo, NY. I originally saw their ad on eBay (camoLOTS) where they sell various colors/markings combos. The cheapest I originally saw was “ Without Markings” blankets that were $15.80 each if you bought 4 or more – but when I went to buy the cheapest blankets were all gone (cheapest left were $18.24 for 4+ with markings). I looked around online to see if anyone else was selling these - found a couple of places at higher prices – and also found that camoLOTS also had a website that listed the blankets. But their website prices were much higher than on eBay. There was a ‘Make an Offer” tab under the “Add to Cart”. My offer of $160 for a case of 10 (vs. their $247.50 asking price) was accepted several hours after submission. Shipping was stiff at over $50, but the box weighed about 50lbs. Received the box in about a week. The blankets are very nice, 59”x 83”, range between 4 lbs 2.4 oz to 4 lbs 6.2oz each on our postal scale. I don’t like scratchy wool and these do not seem scratchy to me (not Merino wool soft, but much better than the cheap wool stuff I’ve usually bought). This shows less than half the blanket, but gives an idea of the overall appearance: Closer views of the blanket details:3 points

Because with Wayne and some of his cronies gone, the board can finally be reset. @Chucktshoeshas the right if it that the size of the board needs to be shrunk. They also have to have the right people to oversee what will be a very important selection of new management.3 points

Its here! I actually picked it up last Wednesday, but I just got around to taking pics and posting today. 1943 Colt frame with an Ithaca slide. This one is a bit nicer than the one I got in round 1. I'm happy with it.3 points

All this does is make the NRA look worse. They didn't do anything to fix this issue themselves and allowed it to continue for years. I'm not sure why anyone would look at this and think it proves the NRA might change for the better.3 points
-
Yep. Instead of destroying it, she may have fixed it. The NRA lost my support because of ole Wayne. Now, they have a chance to regain it. They need some new rules first.3 points

Harrods Edition Tudor Black Bay. Put my name down for one in May of 2022 when I was in London and they called me in Dec of 23 and said it was available for PU. My sister just so happened to be there at the same time and was luckily able to pick it up for me. When I got it I looked at the serial number and it’s a mixture of mine and my dads birthdays who passed away in December of 22.2 points

It will be interesting to see if they come clean with their members. And FWIW, I still hope Letitia gats a raging incurable yeast infection, if she doesn't already have one. Her intentions were nothing but evil.2 points

LOL. What @ArmyBrat61 said. Couple that with reading scribbled kinda-cursive made up abbreviation medical documentation for the past 50+ years... Thanks @FUJIMO!2 points

If I'm not mistaken they all have threaded barrels. Grabagub.com has them currently for $267. Last gun I bought through them a couple of weeks ago was $10 for shipping. Plus tax. I have several more expensive 22 pistols, but the TX gets more range time than all of the others. You will love it.2 points

He'll pay the fine out of petty cash. There's no telling how much he actually got away with.2 points

Rest assured that wasn’t their intention, but I expect you’re correct. He’d make a good piñata at the next NRA convention.2 points

1. This is a Winchester 1873 Third Model built in 1893 (dated by serial number on Winchestercollector . Org). This has a 24 inch octagon barrel and is chambered in 44-40 WCF. This could use a good cleaning but has a beautiful plum patina to it. It has one new Winchester screw in the lower tang to secure the stock better, it is missing the dust cover and has a small crack in the buttstock. Everything is original to the rifle aside from the one screw. Plenty more pictures available upon request. $2000 OBO. May consider firearm trades of equal value. More pictures upon request.1 point

Same song, different verse.... picked this one up a while back with plans on tricking it out but the G10 grips were as far as I got. I bought it used and there are a couple of areas with slight holster wear, the takedown stop and the very front of the slide and frame on the thumb side (2nd pic). I did a quick field strip and cleaning when I bought it and was surprised at how clean it was internally. My guess it that it was shot very little by the previous owner, just my estimate though FWIW. It has night sites and two 15 round mags. $550, no trades unless you have a 75 in matte stainless you want to get rid of...1 point

Bingo. It isn’t that it definitely will lead to positive changes, but unlike when WLP had an iron grip on things, they can change. I still believe the NRA could be a massive force for good if managed effectively. Imagine if the FPC or GOA had the resources and name recognition of the NRA? How much could get done then?1 point

I see more wheelchairs than you'd imagine every year at the NRA Convention. Most venues there is plenty of room to navigate. The worst was Louisville, no way I'd try to get around at that one with a wheelchair.1 point

I don't drink coffee, never have. But I drink a LOT of soda. I did the calculations and I do not get that many miles pre gallon. Not even close. But it's still funny.1 point

My 5.56 Thunderbeast is awesome. My Cyclone is probably the most accurate 30 cal I have, but it's heavy. I'm happy with my Rugged Radiant and both Q 30 cal cans. They are my work horses. My 9mm Ti-rant is fantastic, but it doesn't get used much. The SSK was my first and it's huge and heavy. My YHM wraith sounds good, but it can't be taken apart. I wouldn't do that over. My 458 Elite iron was a nightmare.1 point
