  3. As a child, I learned to be a passable piano player, a beginner trumpet player, and a so so guitarist. Years went by and now I’ve no idea how to play a piano or trumpet anymore, but can barely get by with a guitar. I’ve been watching Marty Schwartz YouTube videos to brush up on guitar. He is awesome, by the way, if you’d like to learn guitar. A couple of episodes touched on music theory, which I was never taught at all, and it has me captivated. I know we have musicians among us. Is there a seminal book or program that explains music theory in a way my tiny brain can comprehend it?

  11. Helps a ton - thanks much! I'm fairly broad across the chest and want to put 3 AR mags in the main pocket and have the ability to attach smaller pouches or kit on the outside. Buy once cry once my friend! I'm good with the price as long as it reflects quality...I've purchased cheap stuff and the zippers failed the first day...lesson learned especially on the important gear! I'll definitely check out 5.11 and a couple of others....just trying to decide between molle on the outside for extra configuration options or go low key nothing on the outside to "blend-in." Leaning towards added function over discretion.

  12. I've used em all... The one I like is the " Original ". I'ma thinkin it's about 11 inches wide by 8 inches tall by 1.5 thick. I like this one because he will easily carry a big pistol or revolver, which is what I got him for. As I remember, there is one that is a bit larger volume wise, which would work great for carrying first aid n edc stuff. If ya are smaller across the chest, they make a " stubby " which is a bit shorter. It will easily hold a subcompact pistola. I've carried the Glock subcompacts ( 26, 33, 27 ) in him easily. These bags work exactly as ya would think, are of a bombproof build quality. There is nothing bad to say about em, other than they are pricey. Price is the main drawback, especially now that others are copying the concept. I would look at the 511 stuff too, but I haven't tried their chest bag. Hope this helps a bit. leroy...

  13. Developed by NightForce for the military's extreme long range shooting and hard target acquisition, this Rifle Scope provides a broad magnification range, a large field-of-view and four inches of eye relief. The illuminated duplex reticle on this scope is no longer offered in the NXS series and is perfect for the shooter not requiring a Christmas tree reticle cluttering the user’s field of view...my preference! This Mil-dot scope also has the Nightforce optional high speed zero stop turret installed and conveys with a one-piece titanium Nightforce Magmount …this 3 -lug ultra-lite titanium mount ensures a reliable and repeatable mounting solution. The scope/mount is in “like new condition” spending most of its time as a “safe queen”. • Exceptional optical integrity and rigorously tested for perfection. • High Speed Tactical Mil-dot Turrets ensure speed and accuracy in all situations. • The 30mm tube is constructed of 6061-T6 Aircraft Grade Aluminum • Completely Waterproof and Weather Resistant • Proprietary titanium beta erector spring that delivers three to four times the spring pressure of other scopes • ZeroStop version allows for the ability to always return your scope to your initial reference point quickly. • Nightforce X-Treme Duty™ – Ultralite™ One-Piece Magmount™ (Titanium/Alloy) Asking $1250.00 (REDUCED $1150)

  15. It has gotten really hard to not violate one of the major rules, "If you don't want bad stuff to happen, don't go where bad stuff happens." (cleaned up for the kids) The potential for it to happen anywhere is higher than one would have ever bet on just a few years ago.

  16. The very sad and real reality is we have a lot of time bombs walking around. Add to that the many different groups winding their springs tighter and tighter leaves us to wonder just where or when it all just explodes.

  20. I've been seeing a pattern of militarization in the local SD. They show off IED resistant, ex-military trucks complete with cupolas and hardened glass and heavy weapon mounts. The way Sheriff Depts. are standing up to fed.gov, I have no doubt the police officer/deputy will be replaced with Enforcers. The civilian title scares me as well because it puts us on a lower level than the police officers. As times worsen it is easier for the brown shirts to emerge, in lockstep with a new paradigm shift and a charismatic "leader". Never Forget

  21. Not much going on here. I shoot at Sardis, MS, McLver gun range. $20 for half day noon till evening. Pistol and 100 yard rifle bays are covered and next to each other. Longer range a walk or short drive. Skeet, trap and archery areas too. I can check to see if we can set up canopies and grill for a meet.

  25. Looks like he was on the force since January 2022 and did not have any prior law enforcement experience and from what Chucktshoes posted, probably little to no experience under stress. I've been saying for a while now that I worry more about an interaction with the police than I do with any criminal element. At least with the a criminal, I know who they are and it is unlikely they'll be calling in backup. Even though I may have to deal with a Soros placed DA, either way.

  26. I have an excellent long range rifle and scope for sale. I am barely an average shot and can easily hit consistently at 1000 yards with this setup. Rifle has less than 250 rounds through it. I have the Bergara rifle bag as well as the boxes for the rifle and scope. It also included 2 x 5 round mags. I added their muzzle break which does help with recoil. The scope was on a Leopuld mount with rings and that comes with it. I added another scope mount setup that has a 20moa angle so you have more range out at 1000+ yards. This is included as well. Bergara HMR Pro $1,799 MSRP Bergara Bag $70 MSRP Bergara Muzzle Brake $179 Vortex Viper PST $1,499 MSRP Together $3,919 MSRP (including the ammo mentioned below). In addition to the rifle and scope, I have 9 boxes of 140 gn Hornady Match ELD ammo, 2 boxes of 143 gn Hornady ELD-X ammo, and 1 box of 120 gn Hornady Match ELD ammo. The cheapest I can find this ammo anywhere is $31/box. I will include all 12 boxes of ammo with the rifle. $372 current market value in ammo included in rifle bundle. Rifle, scope, ammo and all accessories for $2,100. Dropped price to $2,000 OBO. FTF Transaction in Murfreesboro. No shipping or trades on this one.

  27. I ran this on a Colt I had that is now gone so this is up for grabs. $35 sound fair? This is a way better charging handle then the stock ones that you can get. Makes the action smoother to me. Always good for trades too... Could use some 9mm or 5.56

  33. We had every instrument imagined growing up. So I play piano, guitar, saxophone, trombone (been a few years on that one), drums, organ, trumpet and several others. Music is an awesome thing. Rick Beato has some neat courses. Has 2 YouTube channels that I like very much also. He's Just about the music and talent. Has interviews with great musicians. https://rickbeato.com/

  39. That reminds me of Sicario. One of my favorites.....except for that woman playing the arrogant, bullheaded, whiney fbi agent. The movie was great but would have been better without that character. So back to the point, I can also recommend the Equalizer with Denzel. And, if you really need something to do, I can always recommend the endless supply of good old fashioned westerns.
