  2. Colt Combat Commander .45ACP Model O4940XE Bought this brand new at Tennessee Gun Country. It's had a little over 300 rounds through it. To be completely upfront about this, I did have problems out of it when I first got it. There were malfunctions in the form of failures to feed and erratic ejection. I contacted Colt customer service and sent it in to the factory on January 8. Figured since it was a brand new gun, they can fix it. I just got it back from them. They adjusted the extractor and adjusted the feed ramp. I can see where they worked on the feed ramp, which I had thought was at least part of the problem. I took it to the house and fired two full magazines through it using the Colt factory magazine and 230 grain ball ammo and there were no hiccups whatsoever, so they did actually fix it. I kind of hate to get rid of it because it is a good feeling and very accurate gun, but I had gotten mad about this and decided to move back to Sigs. SPM. Comes with case, manual, and the single supplied Colt factory magazine. Can meet in Erin or the surrounding area within a reasonable (to me) distance.

  8. Found the problem, worn/broke linkage handle pin. Replaced with a 4" bolt for now. Sent about 300 through the sizing die last night. Will test load a few dummies today.

  9. I am pretty sure that is because it isn’t adjusted correctly.

  10. This is a truly great little pistol. Maybe the best .22 mag revolver made.

  11. Your seating die isn’t the issue. The sizing die is the problem. I would very strongly recommend you get a commercially produced reloading manual and read it. Also, read the instructions for your dies, particularly the part that pertains to adjusting the SIZING die.

  13. I am selling my Remington 700 chambered in .300 Weatherby Magnum. It is the detachable magazine version. I don't know much about the rifle; I got it used, and I've only fired about 20 rounds through it due to the cost of ammo. Only issue with the rifle is some slight finish erosion underneath the scope base. Asking $800, but open to trades for a Winchester Model 70 (controlled round feed models only), or Winchester lever action rifles. Located in Dayton, TN, and would prefer to meet here.

  14. SOLD Thanks for looking, Whisper I'm continuing to prune the collection and need to cut back on shotguns. Here for sale is a Beretta 1301 Competition, 12 ga, in excellent condition, lightly used (I took one shotgun class with it) and with the scarce option of two barrels. I had one barrel cut back to 20" for defensive uses (no choke) and the other barrel is 24" and has interchangeable chokes. These extra barrels are scarce -- I can't find them for less than $700 anywhere right now. With this setup you could have one barrel for defensive purposes and the longer barrel for hunting. The shotgun is the original 1301 Comp but I've added the aftermarket bolt release shroud to prevent the bolt release from accidentally moving backwards. It also has a picatinny rail already installed on the receiver and a +1 magazine extension. Included is a Steiner weapon mounted light (screws onto the magazine tube so can only be used without the mag extension). Comes in a Beretta hard case as shown, plus manual and choke wrench. $1300 to a TN resident legally able to purchase firearms. I live in Chattanooga but travel to Nashville fairly often and would drive a reasonable distance for a deal. Trades considered, although I'm not really looking for anything specific at the moment. If someone would like to purchase the second barrel separately, we can discuss. Thanks for looking, Whisper

  22. Out of site out of mind. If you have a good concealment rig and don't screw with constantly by tugging to see if it's there. I take mine into banks, post office, and everywhere there isn't a metal detector. Those sings mean nothing to me, I carried daily before they even thought about carry permits here in TN. Then when they offered them I went and took the two day classes that you had to do.

  24. Seriously, for all day wear and work, a chest holster is incredibly comfortable. I used to tote around a Glock 20 in a Keni Gunfighter chest holster. Works well for both hunting applications and farm chores, its really out of the way and really accessible when you need it. Never had to worry about the gun banging on something or getting in the way on the tractor. Didn't make sitting or bending uncomfortable and it was easy to use any variety of tools with.

  25. I've picked up a few of the super light ARs at gunshows, like sub 6lbs. Everything is skeletonized. I like the idea but not the practicality. However, i'm one of those people who kinda associate weight with quality, so super light just feels flimsy to me. The last thing i want is a rifle that can't hold up to slight abuse. I suppose it all depends on your frame, strength, health, use case, etc. At 6'2", it doesn't hurt my feelings to tote beefier rifle.

  31. Hey all! Here’s my 1921 production Colt 1911. This was made for the civilian market. For its age the pistol is nice and tight. Rifling is great as well. Blueing is worn as to be expected for its age. looking to trade for other wartime 1911s or a M1 Garand/ Carbine or cool lever guns. Thanks and god bless

  34. Went to some old friends house as it was there last get together in the house they have lived in for 40 years. The game was on, I missed the start, O well. I stayed till just after half time, did not like the show. wandered around talking to others. I "did" see parts of the game but did not "watch" the game. I gave up on baseball after the 2nd strike for money, nascar after the flag thing, football when some players disrespected the country for not standing for the national anthem and the owners let them with out repercussions.
