1. This is a Winchester 1873 Third Model built in 1893 (dated by serial number on Winchestercollector . Org). This has a 24 inch octagon barrel and is chambered in 44-40 WCF. This could use a good cleaning but has a beautiful plum patina to it. It has one new Winchester screw in the lower tang to secure the stock better, it is missing the dust cover and has a small crack in the buttstock. Everything is original to the rifle aside from the one screw. Plenty more pictures available upon request. $2000 OBO. May consider firearm trades of equal value. More pictures upon request.7 points

I got to tell you other members , this is a good deal ! If you don't like the manual safety , then don't use it. If you still don't like it , it is easy to take out. I did this on my own M&P with a manual safety. This is a good deal plus the magazines ! This is a "Glock 19" made by S&W with a lifetime warranty .3 points

I appreciate and understand the question as it isn't posted anywhere but I'm sure almost everyone here will agree, that just being a participant on this forum ranks you higher than the vast majority of people I run into everyday.3 points

Because without the management, there would be nothing left to catch/hunt in short order. Remember those old pictures of guys with hundreds of birds, fish, and dozens of deer? Remember how species were hunted to extinction? Now don't get me started on how overly complicated the TWRA license system is. It's truly ridiculous. However, game management in the bigger picture is necessary in our current world.3 points

Safety Reminder for Buyers and Sellers This is an automatic reply meant to protect you as a buyer and a seller on TGO. Use the Buyer/Seller Feedback feature to research who you are dealing with. Please come back and leave feedback for each other after the transaction is complete. Your experience will help others. Never agree to use an electronic form of payment to buy or sell a gun! None of the electronic payment services will protect you against fraud in a firearms transaction. They all have terms of service FORBIDDING the use of their services to buy/sell guns. DON'T DO IT. Be very wary of anyone who insists on brokering a deal in private or outside of TGO. Scammers almost always prefer to operate out of the public eye. Morning. It's fairly simple really. The longer you're an active member and make posts your "rank" increases. The NEW goes away once you reach a certain post count ( it appears yours is gone ) Enjoy TGO2 points

As cheap as standard Al lowers are, I see no reason for a poly lower. I see no advantage and only disadvantages across the board.2 points

Nope. Men wouldn't double-back like that. At the end of the first aisle, we loop around the back and up the second aisle.2 points

The fees paid for a TN fishing license have nothing to do with overseas. They are to support wildlife management in the State which needs even more support now that they repealed the measly 10 cent a box ammo tax we used to have.2 points

For sale or trade! Rock Island Armory Rock Ultra HC, chambered in 10mm. This is a double stack handgun that holds 16 rounds. Comes with the factory magazine and two Mec-Gar magazines. Handgun has about 200rds through it. $500 but also open to trades. I like Milsurp rifles and just about anything made by Browning or Winchester. I have two Taurus PT-738 380 Auto pocket pistols for sale. What you see the in the pictures is what's included. The pocket holster works excellent and stays pretty concealed and comfortable. The silver and black one has been fired and carried some. I'm not sure if the pink one has ever been shot. If it has, it hasn't seen many rounds through it. Located in the Nashville area. $300 gets both guns, magazines, the pocket holster, and cases with belt clip. They also come with a few full metal jacket rounds. Must be able to legally own a firearm. Please have a government ID to show and will do a Bill of Sale.1 point

Thanks for the reply. No I went with a Dead Air Nomad 30 which has been fantastic so far. Also picked up a Huxwrx Ventum 762. The Ventum only has 20rds on it so far but it has made me a believer in flow through suppressors.1 point

Well, I for one am glad they are moving to emails for the contact. I can remember with my M1 and the 1911's when it got close to "my time" I was answering every hack call, advertisement, political solicitation, etc. on the off chance that the call was coming from CMP and I did not want to miss it. Can't tell you how many offers for "The best deal on aluminum siding I will ever see" that I received...... Oh, and I never bought the siding................1 point

The 38 WCF is the same as a 38-40 WCF. Different cartridge all together. I had a 3 digit sn 1873 about 12 years ago in 38-40 WCF, great looking gun but I was offered a price I couldn’t refuse at the time.1 point

I got an e-mail Friday saying its my turn. Kinda confused me as last time they called me directly. But apparently, that's what they're doing now. I tried to call several times Friday afternoon, but the lady I'm supposed to talk to was always busy. Gonna try again on Monday.1 point

No. 38-56 is based on the 45-70 Case. 38 WCF for the Win 1892 is a completely different cartridge.1 point

Is the 38-56 wcf the same as the 38 wcf. They seem to have dropped the -56 by the Winchester 1892.1 point

A buddy of mine used to go to the York shoots and raved about them. So, he prepared an area on his property, complete with the log and the targets (he set them up at 60 yds) and we all went up and participated. Really a cool way to challenge your proficiency with the old flintlocks.1 point

Yep. Even if it's catch & release, those fish came from somewhere and there's a good chance they came from a TWRA hatchery, not natural population growth within our lakes and rivers.1 point

I love this. Shoot more rifles..!!! The greatest rifle match I ever went to was the great " Over the Log " muzzle loader match that used to be held at the Alvin York home place in early spring every year. Men n women shooting great muzzle loading rifles " over the log " at targets 40 yards away ( I think ) with iron sights n shooting the center out of the hourglass cross... There is nothing greater nor more American. America was made great by American Riflemen. We all need ta shoot the rifle we like most more often. leroy...1 point

Bump. FYI, someone on here was bugging me about finding it for cheaper somewhere else and how my price point would "make it hard to resell them in this economy". If that's you or your line of thought, keep walking. I am not here to facilitate your ability to maximize the value of these items. Also, good luck explaining to the alphabet boys your not-business strategy. And to boot, according to my research, you CAN'T find it cheaper anywhere else. Occasionally they show up on GB for less than $3K. These are extremely rare. And if you can find it IN STOCK cheaper somewhere else, I'll be happy to negotiate that with you. I am not unreasonable, but I am short on patience when it comes to the scheming little parasites in this community.1 point
