I have shown these here before, but a pair of consecutive serial number 40XB's. I would have to dig out my 52C and D for pics.4 points

It doesn’t. This false argument for property owners rights was used before to shoot this idea down. The owner can still ban guns. It’s just that violating that ban isn’t a criminal offense. BUT, the owner can enforce it by asking an armed person to leave. Failing to do so IS a criminal offense, I.e. criminal trespass. Both sides rights are protected that way.3 points

I took picture from Google. I can send actual pictures of mine. This is a original wood handguard with a streamlight scorpion light and built in pressure switch. Yes it works. This would go great on a krinkov or pistol build. Very hard to find. I'm cleaning out my AK parts. $300 proceed to sell. Trade value 350. Thanks2 points

I can take or leave a lot of popular sports, but the ocho is so much fun. My favorites I've seen on there are competitive 'tag' and motocross with sidecars.2 points

I see little more than election year posturing. I’ve been wrong before though.2 points

I love .22s. I've got more .22s that I can keep up with. Rifles, handguns and .22 conversion units for centerfire guns. Easy to shoot, accurate and just plain fun! What else can you take to the range and spend hours for about the cost of one box of centerfire ammo?2 points

I am so far down the rimfire rabbit hole I won’t get out. But I’m also into uber accuracy. Love old rimfire’s. If you are into rimfires, you need a 40x or 52 to really appreciate them from the old days.2 points

Another quote from the Wife..."It's easier when the banana is attached to you". I can make this stuff up. The Wife's a nurse so thing can get weird fast.2 points

They just announced that Kyle Rittenhouse will be speaking at one of the Mid-TN colleges. Didn't catch exactly which one. I would like to hear what he has to say. Hope someone records it, and we can get access to the discussion.1 point

I’ve never purchased from them. According to their website, they have part of what I want and the rest is out of stock. Do they have a storefront, or just mail order?1 point

I learned to operate a right handed bolt left handed when I was on a rifle team in high school. You can’t remove the hand from the forend because it is in a glove and wrapped in the sling. Single shot bolt action is a trick left handed. Especially during a match.1 point

I assisted a friend in a dispute with Capitol One. Long story short she paid attorney's fees with the card and after the payment cleared the attorney refused to complete the work for the agreed upon price and refused to issue a refund. Fortunately she had a contact with the attorney which plainly stated that he would perform said work for a "flat fee of x". We still had a lot of trouble getting her money back and when it came down to it, after several calls, she finally spoke with someone at Capitol One who actually had a brain and she got her money back. Point being, if the charge was made on a credit card attempt to get the money back that way. And if the first couple of people that you talk to aren't helpful, keep calling back. If it were me, I would have no issue on a chargeback with the hospital. They will likely not continue to allow the doctor to continue working there if that happens repeatedly. Also, I would promptly contact the hospital administration. I suspect that they will advocate on your son's behalf as they would not want to have a part in a sloppy medical practice.1 point

The .32 S&W longs in my steel framed LCR are remarkably soft recoiling @papa61. I loaded up some .32 H&R mags with Bullseye for this afternoon's shooting. It's another very controllable and nice shooting loaded. Both have less subjective recoil than .38 spl and I shoot my .38 LCR at least once a week. I've never fired a .327 mag in any gun, so I can't speak to that. I wouldn't hesitate carrying the .32 LCR for SD. 6 easily controllable and accurate rounds in such as small package (both the LCR and Taurus .327) has something going for it. I have RDS on my G17 & G19 as well as my Taurus TX22 Compact. I like them. I've not shot a RDS equipped revolver but I used to hunt whitetail with a scoped 629, so the general concept is there. It would be a belt/holstered gun for sure. Looking forward to the opportunity to try one out.1 point

Kel-Tec Sub-2000. It folds up and goes right in the bag, and takes Glock magazines. At some point, striker-fired polymer pistols, while nice and mechanically perfect, just get boring. I remember going to the range with my buddy, we pulled out half a dozen assorted Glocks and M&Ps and stuff, and laid them all out. Fired them all a few times. But we agreed, his revolver and my Sub-2000 were the most fun to shoot, and kept going back to those.1 point

As I have stated, I see both side of this and I agree it should be a leave or misdemeanor trespass. I believe in a property owners rights but I also consider a business as public. It's not the same as one's home and property, you are basically inviting everyone in. We as a people have made it clear that you cannot refuse service based on race, religion, color, sexual orientation etc. There are exceptions based on appropriate age such as R rated movies, bars, tobacco but I do not believe ther should be an exception for exercising one's God given rights. The assumption made is if the business is posted you can choose not to got there. Suppose now that it is your place of employment, your choices are narrowed. If my employer has a dress code that does not conflict with anyone's religious beliefs, ok fine, it's not going to kill you to dress properly to convey your professional status. My office is a stones throw from Hickory Hollow Mall, what if my business posts no guns? Sure, I can change jobs but we have allowed the vilification of guns to overcome common sense in this case. The rally cry is honest citizens are disarmed and defenseless while criminals do not obey the laws and signs. I stand firmly by my generalizations. MOST firearms enthusiasts are better marksmen than most LEO. Law enforcement has a huge amount of responsibility on their collective shoulders, much of which is not law enforcement. They are by Federal court rulings not responsible for your personal safety. It is their job to arrest criminals. I can't quote case law on this but ther have been more than one. The trend of asking cops to be social workers, public relations agents, dispute mediators and all the rest needs to end.1 point

yeah, I'm not set up to reload 32 though I need to be. But 32S&W long with light loads is what I think would be good for the wife. I am in the same boat vision wise but I just cannot handle the look of optics on a pistol. I do have one on my AR pistol, but it serves a different mission. All that and I just like the 327 mag, good bullistics with the 327 and softer shooting with the S&W long. Still want a Single Seven,,,I can dream.1 point

I dont think they have the right to search either. But id you GIVE them that right, then id imagine they could search whatever you agreed that they could search.1 point

Well shoot, cant find what I was looking for, but the bottom line is the bill doesn't change anything regarding trespassing. Th property owner, as has always been the case, has the right to ask people to leave his/her property. Failure to do so constitutes criminal trespass. This bill simply removes the current criminal charge of carrying past a gunbuster sign on private property. As it should be.1 point

Just because they can search your car, I don’t think they can legally prevent you from having a gun in your car. The Castle Doctrine says your car is an extension of your home and you can keep a gun in it. https://www.tennessean.com/story/money/2016/02/11/3-things-tennessee-employers-should-know-gun-laws/80255594/#1 point

Before moving to TN I sold my 9422XTR, and a Browning A-bolt 22, kicking myself now-lol. Although because of bad storage they were starting to pit, so in a way I got rid of them for a great price before they would need refinishing. But my custom Nordic Components 10/22 and CZ 455 Thumbhole varmint kinda make up for it.1 point

I met rebels010 today out on the road. I bought a battery from him. He worked very well with logistically as we were both in the middle of our work assignments. You can be sure that he’s trustworthy in his word.1 point

Maybe we get a compromise out of this and they change the law so you don’t have a gun violation, but a trespassing charge if you refuse to leave the business when asked. This way the business still has control over thief property rights, but we don’t get an unreasonable charge if we unintentionally violate the statute.1 point
-
As much as I'd benefit from its passage, I think this law violates the business owner's property rights. If the law only affected public places, I'd be all for it. I just think that if you own a property and you don't want guns there, we shouldn't be able to take away that owner's rights.1 point

I have spent some time analyzing the TN gun laws for my own knowledge and tried to simplify the most common scenarios that many of us may encounter. The following flowchart doesn't include all situations like employees of universities with permits, for example. However, I tried to include what I understood as the laws and how they pertain to those with and without a permit. I am not sure that this is exactly correct and the law seems to be a bit more complicated than I would like, but I attempted to put it in a format that I could more easily consume. I would appreciate any feedback or help in validating what is here. Please do not bank on this being 100% acccurate as laws change and my interpretation may not have been correct in some situations. Hopefully it helps some of us not get into unnecessary trouble. Thanks EDIT: Updated May 27, 2022 TN Gun Carry Law Flowchart-updatedMay272022.pdf1 point
