Been looking for good . 357 carry revolver and was curious about the K6S or a King Cobra. Willis68 had both and I got to handle them both and both are fantastic. The K6S was just so light, thin, slim, and modern feeling. At the same time, it felt solid and tight. I really liked the looks of the 2" barrel but really liked the increased ballistics of the 3". I got to say this is the most carriable 3" revolver I've ever held. Excited to get it to the range.8 points

The political motivations behind this case in the investigations that proceed it are completely transparent, and without any doubt. It is entirely reasonable to be concerned about that. At the same time, the investigation would’ve been without merit, and no case would have been able to have been brought were it not for the actions of WLP and his cronies. Their actions more than anything else have placed the NRA in the position it is currently in. Regardless of why it was discovered, the corruption cannot be overlooked or excused in anyway. It must be rooted out completely. Only then can the NRA be rebuilt into any sort of functional organization of merit again. it would be better for the NRA to cease to exist, then to continue in its current corrupt form.6 points

Smith and Wesson 38 Special Model 10-7. Barely a drag line on the cylinder. Deep, glossy beautiful finish. Just starting to freckle along the backstrap, but the finish is otherwise in excellent condition. Phenomenal trigger. Brand new rosewood grips from Premium Gun Grips to suit my preference for an original style. These replaced the Pachmayr Presentation grip that were installed when I bought the revolver. I'll include that grip as well. $430 firm, trade offers welcome, can add cash if needed. Nothing specific in mind so if you're interested try me. I am in Knoxville and I am willing to travel within reason.4 points

https://dnyuz.com/2024/01/02/lapierre-longtime-n-r-a-leader-faces-trial-that-could-end-his-reign/ This one is kinda tough for me. I've long thought that it's way past time for Wayne LaPierra to go from the NRA, but on the other hand, having government trying so hard to hurt a gun-rights organization scares me.2 points

About the only benefit it serves now is to be the whipping boy to take the anti-gunners' heat while better organizations like GOA make actual progress.2 points

Well, what money I have is "stupid" money for sure, ha, ha. But as I mentioned in my original post, I already have a Winchester 52 and a 75 which is almost on the same par, but those rifles are very heavy and not what I need for long walks and lots of off hand shooting. I did find something today in a pawn shop. It is a classic from Remington. The model 512P Sportsman. Bolt action and tube fed. This one was made in 1946 and it fits all of the needs that I have. While I have run some rounds through it, I have not sighted it in yet so I will need to get some time to do that and dial it in.2 points

I hope they can recover NRA money from his assets and put him and his cronies in jail for fraud. The NRA will be better off w/out them.2 points

This is an 18 inch factory build from PSA .223 Wylde chamber (so .223 Remington or 5.56 NATO). Has a PSA 3.5 lb single stage trigger installed with anti walk pins. Has Magpul AFG installed as well as 45 degree offset flip up iron sights. Scope is a Vortex Crossfire II 3-9 power mounted in a Primary Arms cantilever mount. Great gun, more accurate than me with the right ammo. Has taken several deer and hogs. As you can see it is camo painted. I can leave it, remove it, or spray it all one color. $750 as she sits $600 without the scope $500 without the scope or 3.5 lb trigger (I’ll swap in factory trigger) or for $550 I’ll put in a BCM PNT trigger1 point

Went to Acadamy Sports and checked prices on ammo. Came home and ordered 250 rounds of Critical Defense 110 Gr +P FTX when I got home. They had 20 round boxes for 37.00 + per box at Acadamy. My online purchase form SG Ammo was 317.73 including tax for 250 rounds delivered. Big difference in price. Edited to add; My stash is totally healthy and ready to withstand the oncoming price hikes.1 point

I use a Lee Perfect Powder Measure. It has worked for 30 years, continues to work, and costs about $30 now.1 point

If you want to go mechanical I have used an RCBS Uniflow for over 40 years-has always worked- And the repeatable accuracy is also really good-1 point

I would look for something like a CZ 452 American with the 16" threaded barrel. Classic looks, good quality, light, and great feel. Hard to find 452's sometimes, but they may be out there. I use mine to plink off the porch all the time. Or if you have stupid money, a Winchester Model 52C Sporter (original of course :))1 point

It’s hard to beat a classic 10/22 in a hardwood stock for a woods gun. I just bought one and have a Leupold 4x28 coming in today to put on it. If you keep the scope light or run irons, it’s plenty light to haul around on a sling or in hand. Synthetic would be even lighter but loses that nostalgia for me.1 point

Any number of the older Marlins. Bolt guns, semi-auto or single shots. All are excellent rifles. Ruger makes several models of the 10/22 with light synthetic stocks. Lots of possibilities, just look around.1 point

When reinstalling the floor mats in your Toyota Tacoma, make sure NOT to put them on top of the gas pedal, unless you desire a MUCH more responsive throttle. That is all.1 point

Regardless of global and political issues, prices for everything increases at the first of every year. That includes ammo, the components used to make ammo, the blasted cable bill, phone bill, etc., etc. I haven’t bought a single bullet since Covid started… been through too many of these “panics” that I might have overdone it in years past when prices were tolerable.1 point
