This is an insane deal for a billet upper/lower AR. Shocked it’s here still. FYI, I think that’s an ALG (made by Geissele) trigger.2 points

I have decided to sell my Baby Browning which I have owned for over 30 years. It is a .25 ACP, semi-auto, with 2 inch barrel and 6 round FN magazine. It comes with a Browning soft case. The gun was made in 1960 by FN (Fabrique Nationale) in Belgium, and then imported by Browning. This gun is a little pocket pistol and is in great shape as you can see in the photos. I have always kept the gun in it's case and away from extreme temps/humidity. The Baby Browning is getting harder and harder to find, especially in this condition. Please do not ask me to call or text you as I will only communicate through the TGO messaging system. If you would like more pictures just let me know, but be advised I will not take the gun apart. $950.00 OBO (CASH)2 points

It will feel just fine. I enjoy seeing different teams play and I'm glad Alabama lost. Not sure who I'll pull for but I hope it's a good game.2 points

There are only 5 rules to plumbing - but I’ve added a 6th to my personal rules. If I have to break a piece of pipe to fix something a 1/4 ball valve is going inline. You cannot have too many shutoff valves.2 points

I have owned a Model 59 S&W since they first came out. So, I'm a fan of the de-cocker (and I'm old). BTW... Leroy for President!2 points

Bought new in 2017. Less than 200 rounds down the pipe (probably closer to 100) It has a few minor scuffs & scrape on the stock from being dragged around the Wyoming Rockies, but nothing major & is be happy to text better pics if you'll PM me your number. I bought it to be my dedicated elk rifle, but find myself more comfortable using my 6.5x55 & .358. It's too much gun for TN whitetails & I'm replacing it with another .223 It's a fantastic, smooth action & genuine 1¼ MOA shooter. That's with 10 rounds. I don't piss around with 3 shot groups. Bare rifle only no scope, mounts or rail included. I'm happy to deliver within an hour of Franklin County & will throw in whatever ammo I have. That'll be 90% reloads & some factory stuff for $7501 point

Have the original springs and an enhanced FBPS yet to be installed.1 point

That’s what I get for working on a rifle and not checking TGO. I miss all the deals. And I have cash in my pocket (that needs to go elsewhere, LOL)1 point

The FX Pocket Chronograph first version was built for air rifle use, but it does record velocities up to 1100 fps, or just a little more. That means it will record velocities for some .22LR ammunition, but not all. Any .22 lr round that makes a crack when fired will not record. So, Bobby this is no good for you. No photos. Check it out online. It works with iPhone or Android. Download software from the app store. You pay for shipping and it's yours. First I'll take it gets it.1 point

I don’t know if he owns land in TN, but I can state definitively that it does occur in TN. We’ve discussed court decisions here of national notoriety in TN regarding open fields doctrine and its abuse.1 point

This discussion takes em back to my Dad. I grew up in North Chattanooga in the 60s in a house that had been built in 1919. so you know the age of everything in the "bones" of the house. OLD! The plumbing would go out regularly, but Dad thought he could fix it all, and we would go through days and weeks of trial and error. Fix the pipe, everything works for awhile, until it stops. Turn the water off at the street (after filling up 5 gallon buckets) and Dad would start working on it again in a few days (usually when the buckets of water gave out). Rinse and repeat - everything works for awhile until it stops, fill the buckets, turn the water off at the street. UNTIL my Mom goes ballistic and makes Dad call the plumber. I miss those days, and I miss my Mom and Dad . . .1 point

I think it's very relevant. Fans pay big bucks to go to the games... hotels, transportation, tickets, food, etc. They deserve to see the teams that earned the trip. Sponsors pay millions of dollars to advertise during the games, money that ultimately comes from the consumers' pockets. If I pay for a box of primers, I don't expect half of them to be missing when I open it up. Even Georgia's players were cheated by that game. They had something to prove, but their effort will be discounted because of the lack of competition. Mind you, I understand why top players might opt out of a non-CFP bowl game, but all those opt-outs are very relevant to the quality of the game that the fans see, and in which the players participate.1 point

Class act. Growing up Cale, Richard Petty and David Pearson were my heroes. I got to meet them at an event in Daytona Beach. I was an even bigger fan after that. They signed everything I had. Talked to me like I was there best friend. Left an impression that will never be forgotten. Heroes that were bigger in person than in my imagination. RIP Cale.1 point

There has been some major over-reach with regard to wildlife enforcement in the last few years. Look up "open field doctrine". That said, I agree with @Omega in that a few bad apples will certainly spoil it for the rest of us. Look up why there's no hog season in TN. You are permitted to manage some nuisance wildlife (small game) on your property provided they're causing damage to property or crops. Some animals (deer in particular) require a nuisance permit issued by TWRA to cull them.1 point

^ both comments. As much as I’m no fan of big gov esp on private property, a small minority could ruin the whole ecosystem for the majority. Don’t hunt out of season or poach and you’re good.1 point

Nothing new here. I used to work with a lot of illegals. Pretty near all of them admitted to having a gun. But I never knew one dumb enough to try to buy one at a gun shop.1 point

Here’s my thought process when something breaks… I can fix it. I can probably fix it. Can I really fix it? How much can I save by fixing it? How much can I screw up by attempting to fix it? Is me fixing it going to require a trip to the emergency room? By answering these questions, I can determine whether I need to call a professional. I usually make the right decision…sometimes.1 point

FWIW, if the part that failed is CPVC, save yourself the headache and replace as much of it as you can with PEX now. I recently replaced plumbing in a place with CPVC. It seems like once the environmental/age conditions are met for that stuff to start failing it fails all over. I bet in the stuff we replaced because of one problem that was visible - we discovered ten that weren’t. CPVC is the devil. A brittle devil - but a devil nonetheless.1 point

Get the SA-35 now. It will cost less than the CZ-75 and then save like a fiend to add the CZ. Then your life will have meaning...............1 point

I'm looking at an M1 Garand to "possibly" purchase (older fellas friend) and wanted to know what it's basic value might be. It has a very low round count (supposedly 180 + Greek ball ammo)Dutch VAR barrel, 40'S Springfield action, Springfield OP rod-trigger housing-bolt. NM front rear sights, installed in a new Boyds stock with new metal. Will get a few 8 round clips. cleaning items, Plus I get some Greek ball ammo. Plus a spare complete stock, it needs refinishing. Showed me a couple targets with Greek ball ammo and was impressive. gauges indicated ME 0.5 and TE 1.0. I know it's not an Expert or Collectors grade. Pics attached. Would shooting it first be the best option & what you think a decent offer might be? You Garand guys would know - what you think?1 point

The dot allows you to do things that you cannot do nearly as easily with irons. The dot does not have to be centered in the window...meaning that no matter where the dot is , if you can see it on the target that is where the bullet will impact. So you are able to aim from contorted positions where it might not be possible to get both the front and rear sight aligned with the eye. The dot also allows for more precise aiming at distant or small targets. And it also allows for focusing on the target and "noticing the dot" instead of focusing on the front sight and noticing the target and the rear sight. It means your focus can remain on the target and you have eliminated one of the 3 focal points (rear sight) from your aiming consideration. And finally the dot allows people who are far sighted (as many people become as they get older) to see the dot even if they cannot see (or see a fuzzy ) front sight. Now do you NEED a dot? No and we can make an argument that inside 5 yards you don't even need SIGHTS at all if your grip, trigger press, and presentation of the pistol are good. But the dot allows you to easily engage targets at distance that would be "iffy " with irons.1 point

If there truly were that many idiots running around causing problems for everyone simply because they lacked mandatory firearms training than we would certainly be hearing about it and the TN legislators would certainly be trying to saddle us with it. I’m 100% in agreement that responsible gun owners should get training, just like I think everyone should stay out of debt, workout most days, and quit drinking, but I certainly don’t think any of that should be mandated. It’s a very slippery slope whenever we encourage the Govt to mandate something in the public “best interest” as they get a taste for it and don’t know where to stop.1 point

Aka VZ38. Bought this at the recent Murfreesboro gun show. Made from 1939 - 1945. The Germans took over Czechoslovak right before production was to begin. The Germans pressed them into service as is without any additional stamps applied. Around 40k were made, mostly in 1939. Holds 9 rounds of .380 and is double action only. Many say it one of the ugliest pistols ever made. I think it’s fascinating. Been wanting one for years. Easy to break down and clean. Just push a little release lever forward and tilt the slide up. Slide then can just be slid off the hinged barrel. No little parts to lose while cleaning, a bonus on the battlefield. Took it to the range yesterday and it was a blast to shoot. Surprisingly accurate. Just like shooting a double action revolver.1 point
