Last night after the dust settled I found myself with a quiet house and the TV remote in my hand. I decided to watch and see what the chatter was about. When it was over I had way too many questions so I went to the old interwebs. I found this and thought it was interesting and reliable so I thought I would share. https://youtu.be/TiqQROFSK8k2 points

⁹Heilung has a unique vibe, I bet it's quite the experience live. I really enjoy live music, been trying to go to more shows. Experiences rather than things as my wife says. I'd really like to take my kids to a big rock show at some point ... fire, lasers, ground shaking power, the full monte. Only recently have the big shows started coming back to Knoxville. Ticket prices sure have shot up. We saw Gaelic Storm a while back, they're a lot of fun. Going to see Joe Bonanmasaa in a couple months. Really looking forward to that.2 points

I watched The Last Kingdom. That led me to Eivor. Fantastic imho! Which led me to the entire genre of Celtic throat singing. I generally turn on Spotify on my TV in the mornings (to distract the demons in my brain) and apparently their AI decided to generate quite a few interesting playlists for me. I have no complaints. Heilung is among the lists. I've never been to Red Rock. I think it would be pretty remarkable. I've seen several concerts in the Hammersmith Oden in the mid to late '70's, now called the Apollo.2 points

SOLD! HK P7M13 comes with 3 magazines and wood grips. I bought this in 2000 in Knoxville when the range on Lovell Road was Guncrafter. According to online research one of the importers refinished these in hard chrome. I'm asking $2500. I will entertain offers. I am willing to trade for a Marlin 1895 Trapper in 45-70.1 point

Anyone collect Case knives and display them? If so, curious how you collect and display. My son has a bit of a collection started and recently ran out of space in the Case display we got him. Myself and his grand parents get him a Case knife each birthday/holiday/etc.. with the hope he ends up with a nice collection by the time he’s an adult. Was planning to get a second display case similar to below as his collection continues to grow but thought there might be other unique ways to collect and display I hadn’t thought about.1 point

This is the first vehicle I ever bought when I moved to the States. 4" Rough Country lift kit, K&N cool air induction kit, Edge pro tuner. Alternator & A/C pump are less than a year old, serpentine belt, vacuum pump & water pump replaced in 2020. Leaks a little oil from the cylinder bases, but it's done that since the day I bought it in 2009. Driving daily, I get through maybe a gallon a month. It's got a Leer (I think) high camper shell fitted & I hope you like it, because I silicone sealed the ba$tard thing on there! I've spent more nights in the thing than I can remember. The locks & sliding windows work & don't leak. LED headlights & discreet spots & obviously a 2" tow hitch (I'll throw in a couple of 8" drop hitches) Mismatched spare tire with 1642 miles on it (I tore out a sidewall on a sagebrush stump the day I was coming home from Wyoming in 2018) Armstrong tires installed & I reckon there another 10k left in 'em. Transmission was completely rebuilt in 2013. I bought it with 90,000 on it & it's just turned 360,000. She's only ever let me down once, when the serpentine belt snapped on a holiday weekend in Topeka, KS. Other than that, the old girl has performed flawlessly & taken me from Mexico to the Canadia, Carolina to California with zero complaints or issues. The interior is well worn, ragged & tatty, but I will replace all duct tape before she sells. It's got a few whisky-blisters to the body & most of the clear coat is gone from the roof & hood, but other than the drivers side nerf bar, zero rust. Everything that's supposed to work, does & does well. Average interstate mileage at 70-74mph is 21mpg. Round town is about 16. She doesn't smoke, cough or splutter, but she absolutely DOES need to be plugged in overnight when the temperatures hits freezing. If it's cold, there's a puff of smoke at start up & that's it. A/C & heat both work as they should. Twin fuel tanks & the crossover switch DOES work! I replaced it a few years ago & it's been trouble free since then. Diesel has always been treated with Howes during cold weather. Oil & filter get changed about 3 times a year & all the work has been done by one guy here in Tullahoma, who I'm very, very happy to refer you to for inspection or verification. She'd make an amazing truck for anyone who understands that things need preventative maintenance & heated seats ain't everything. She's noisy, rattles & probably smells a bit inside. She's hauled livestock, dead critters, construction supplies, gravel, manure & just about anything else you can fit in an 8'x4' box. I would absolutely, 100% trust her to take me literally anywhere in the US, right this minute. I'm only selling to replace a portion of the cash I spent buying a newer, middle aged guy friendly truck. Honestly, if I could afford to keep the old thing, I absolutely would. In the last 15 years, I've spent more time with this truck than most folks spend with their wives. If you buy her, expect to see me tear up as you drive away...... $8,000 will drive it away today. If I pay to have her detailed, polished, cleaned up & name brand duct tape used on the interior; $10,000 I'm sorry, I'm not accepting offers. I know it sounds like a lot for an old banger, but seriously; shop around. These things are desirable & extremely well thought of.1 point

Very nice 2004 Ruger Blackhawk .357 with 4 5/8" barrel. Barely a cylinder turn wear present on this 20-year-old gun. Doubt it's been fired much. I have not fired it at all. $650 ... $600 GONE1 point

Though not as I nice, I have considered this case for my case knife collection based upon price and availability: https://www.amazon.com/Challenge-Casino-Display-Holder-Cabinet/dp/B002NZGN9M/ref=sr_1_31?crid=3LJ3M6WR4LZE5&keywords=military+coin+display+case&qid=1703611053&sprefix=military+coin+display+case%2Caps%2C106&sr=8-31&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.18630bbb-fcbb-42f8-9767-857e17e036851 point

I love it though it is no where close to the super heavy stuff I listen to normally. I half expected a longship to sail out when the song started. Basically the wife and kids just told me to replace My Samsung S8 Plus with a new phone. Nothing much exciting around here. lol We will see if I do. Spring tuition for both college kids was due last week. That might be enough spending for now.1 point

Merry Christmas everyone. My kids are grown. That makes me sad that I no longer get to see them so excited that can’t hardly open presents. It’s all quite in the house now as I live alone. But I’m so excited that my kids will be here later today. And all my grandkids. The quietness of this place will be pushed out the door. And I’ll love every minute of it. God is good.1 point

Safety Reminder for Buyers and Sellers This is an automatic reply meant to protect you as a buyer and a seller on TGO. Use the Buyer/Seller Feedback feature to research who you are dealing with. We probably overdo the presents in my family, but like Lumber Jack I sort of revel in my eight-year-old's excitement. (This may be her last year of all the Santa stuff.) Anyway, this week my daughter has been too keyed up to fall asleep, so we read aloud at bedtime. This week we've read chapters 2 & 3 of Luke over several nights and we talk about it - what's a census, what's the heavenly host, etc. For me it's the privilege of a lifetime. I'm happy, blessed, and grateful. Wishing all the same to you guys. Merry Christmas!1 point

My youngest is 39....I think... so Christmas has lost that glimmer compared to when they were little. We buy gifts for the grandkids (not inexpensive by any stretch of the imagination) but it's all good. The missus and I don't exchange gifts as we get most of what we want whenever we please. I'm home alone this Christmas as the missus went to help out with her daughter after surgery and will stay there for Christmas and get her fill of the four grandkids. She sounds ready to come home. I'm not suffering here at home since I have three pups to make me laugh and Die Hard in the que. I'll be happy to get her home since I couldn't ask for a better partner. I'll fire up the TV tomorrow for Die hard and have a Jack and Coke and play with the pups. Life is good. After all I just can't get upset with what Christmas has become as I'm doing my best to lead a stress free life. Merry Christmas everyone.1 point

It's a cool place. Been there a couple of times when visiting my brother. And if you get to that area and like to golf, go play Arrowhead. Awesome golf course.1 point

I hope that's the gift because that place is on our bucket list too. We actually had tickets to a concert there in 2020 but it was cancelled due to COVID.1 point

So you're gonna have a tough time with that distance. TN is super hilly, I'm working on a 400~ yard range on my farm, right now, the current range I've got setup is just 200ish yards. During the warmer months we ( @OpossumStomp ) shoot nearly every weekend or at least try to. Have a few other TGO members ( @MrRadioActive ) who I have met and hope to have them out this coming spring/summer as well. It's not a %100 perfect range just yet, but it's getting there. Hoping to have time to build an A frame pole barn for shade. You're welcome to come join us when we start back up. I always enjoy having new people come and shoot.1 point

If I'm reading my Bible right, the wise men brought gifts to Jesus, not to everyone else. The greatest gift we can give to Him is ourselves, not the world's junk.1 point

This is Pascal. My daughter named him after Rapunzel’s lizard in the Disney movie Tangled. Pascal is 12 years old, weighs six pounds, and has no teeth, but he thinks he is a wolverine. This is Cody. We lost him in February. He had 8 or 10 pounds on Pascal, but had a much better disposition. He always looked like he was smiling. This is our other dog, Teddy. Teddy is actually a cat, but may have more dog DNA than Pascal. Teddy is the friendliest pet we’ve ever had.1 point

He is a Doggo ... Dogo Canario He is very large for the breed weighting 165 pounds 30" at the withers. Most males are 125 pounds to 140 pounds 26" at the withers ... They are also called Presa Canario ... not for first time owners but great family dogs if you train them from an early age. They bite hard and once they are going after something you better have a well-trained dog that listens to your commands.1 point

No rights are involved in that decision. You don’t have to pay for or apply for a Constitutional right. This has zero to do with the 2nd amendment to the Constitution and everything to do with moving towards allowing illegals to vote.1 point
