Merry Christmas everyone. My kids are grown. That makes me sad that I no longer get to see them so excited that can’t hardly open presents. It’s all quite in the house now as I live alone. But I’m so excited that my kids will be here later today. And all my grandkids. The quietness of this place will be pushed out the door. And I’ll love every minute of it. God is good.5 points

MERRY CHRISTMAS Luke 2:11-14 King James Version 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.4 points

We have recently had a discussion about a place I've always wanted to go. One of my favorite bands will be there in April. We never get to go anywhere alone due to the kids and she was afraid I'd be too cold in April so I told her we'd try next time. The next day she was exited. Fingers crossed.2 points

Oddly I've heard of them. Played a trailer for a game that used this song. It ain't my thing, but I bet it would be interesting at that venue.1 point

She got me a tonneau cover for the jeep gladiator. Something I really needed. I would have liked to get a way with her for a couple of days though.1 point

Academy: PPU/Magtech 9mm .20cpr + tax If we dealt before and had a good exchange I gave a merry Xmas text with a heads up. Figured I’d take a break and log in real quick so everyone could spend their Santa fund. https://www.academy.com/p/monarch-9mm-luger-115-grain-fmj-centerfire-ammunition-250-rounds1 point

I've been using mine for over 10 years. The B&D is not as sturdy as the big benches, but gets the job done for small lots of 100 cartridges or less without wearing you out. Of course, you gotta have an accessory table nearby to hold the accessory equipment such as powder measures and trays, but it's satisfactory for those who don't have lots of space to work in.1 point

This is the table I bought for reloading. It seems to be sturdy and comes with some neat features. I ordered mine off of Amazon. https://www.sevilleclassics.com/collections/workbench-1/products/uhd20246b?variant=394895475672621 point

Starting our day with a family breakfast after present opening. Having the works, country ham, bacon. sausage, biscuits and gravy, along with scrambled eggs. Don't have any young ones any longer. Youngest is 14. Then will feed them Christmas dinner again at 5. Long day for my wife and me, but we love it. Good to have family during the holidays. We also have wife's 91 Y O sister who fell and broke her hip 3 weeks ago. My wife did not want her to go to a rehab center, because of their lack of care now a days, so she took her in. Sweetie is a retired RN. Sister is improving, however very slow. Still does not need to go home alone yet. Looks like we are in for a busy day around "Reed Manor" today. Hope all of you have a Merry Christmas. I feel good this morning and getting ready for the day. At my age, "I'm just so proud to be here" as Mini Pearl always spoke many times. Hers hoping a good, fun day for you all.1 point

We probably overdo the presents in my family, but like Lumber Jack I sort of revel in my eight-year-old's excitement. (This may be her last year of all the Santa stuff.) Anyway, this week my daughter has been too keyed up to fall asleep, so we read aloud at bedtime. This week we've read chapters 2 & 3 of Luke over several nights and we talk about it - what's a census, what's the heavenly host, etc. For me it's the privilege of a lifetime. I'm happy, blessed, and grateful. Wishing all the same to you guys. Merry Christmas!1 point

Just ordered the CZ75-some crazy good deals on CZ’s right now. Thanks for everyone’s input.1 point

I'd go with the CZ75 in all steel. It's a classic and it's design has been used all over the world , cloned , and copied. Parts are extremely easy to find.1 point

Before my wife passed we stopped buying for each other. We only bought for the kids and grandkids. We decided instead if there was something big we both wanted during the year we would get that. It was a lot more pleasant and less stressful and made us both happy.1 point

If there truly were that many idiots running around causing problems for everyone simply because they lacked mandatory firearms training than we would certainly be hearing about it and the TN legislators would certainly be trying to saddle us with it. I’m 100% in agreement that responsible gun owners should get training, just like I think everyone should stay out of debt, workout most days, and quit drinking, but I certainly don’t think any of that should be mandated. It’s a very slippery slope whenever we encourage the Govt to mandate something in the public “best interest” as they get a taste for it and don’t know where to stop.1 point

Hodgdon is offering to cover the hazmat charges on orders made this weekend. Use code: VETERANSDAY2023 Their website is here: https://hodgdonpowderco.com/hodgdon/ Also, American Reloading has primers at a "reasonable" price as well as some projectiles. I've purchased from them before and they were trouble-free. https://americanreloading.com/en/ I found some primers locally today for $100 a thousand. Not exactly a good deal, but I bought some anyway.1 point
