SEVERAL Times @TripleGGG! I always preferred pushing a pickup truck off because I could climb "up" into it vs jumping down into an old Chevy. Safer LOL And builds character4 points

Man, this is a tough question.... It's like asking, "Which should I have water or food?" Seriously, I have both and cannot imagine not having one or another. Personally, I view these three handguns as two of the "Trinity." The other being the 1911. There are hints of Browning's genius all over the Hi-Power as there are all over the 1911. So, if you have a 1911 currently, you would probably enjoy getting the CZ and seeing how that fantastic weapon functions. Shoot the heck out of it, save your nickels and dimes and then go and get the SA-35 Hi Power. Another line of thought would be that if you have the 1911, adding the Hi Power (SA-35) would be a cool migration towards efficiency in that evolution. But then, you'd not get to enjoy the CZ...... This is tough.3 points

Bought new in 2017. Less than 200 rounds down the pipe (probably closer to 100) It has a few minor scuffs & scrape on the stock from being dragged around the Wyoming Rockies, but nothing major & is be happy to text better pics if you'll PM me your number. I bought it to be my dedicated elk rifle, but find myself more comfortable using my 6.5x55 & .358. It's too much gun for TN whitetails & I'm replacing it with another .223 It's a fantastic, smooth action & genuine 1¼ MOA shooter. That's with 10 rounds. I don't piss around with 3 shot groups. Bare rifle only no scope, mounts or rail included. I'm happy to deliver within an hour of Franklin County & will throw in whatever ammo I have. That'll be 90% reloads & some factory stuff for $7502 points

It sounds like some version of anti-rotation pins. An unnecessary accessory on an AR. Trigger pins are meant to rotate. So long as you take care of your rifle and inspect parts when cleaning, you won't run into problems. The reason that these are even a thing is poor QC from a number of manufacturers causing out of spec receivers and parts.2 points

My oldest CZ75 has over 60,000 rounds through it. Only part that broke was the slide stop. I replaced all the springs a few years ago at about 50,000 rounds. My HiPowers were all bought used, so I can't attest to round counts. But, they have been very reliable. When in doubt, replace springs. True for any gun bought used with unknown provenance. The venerable 1911 is always a classic. Get a GI-spec 1911A1 and you will know when to replace the very few parts that might present a problem (extractor). My advice would be to get the CZ75 first. They are all imports, and there may be a day when they aren't allowed in anymore.1 point

We have been messing around with one for a couple weeks now (actually shot it today). I shot glocks for 15+ years and then switched to Sig 320 platform. I carried a g19 and had a g34 for idpa. The dagger is a cool little ride but I would not equate it to a glock. The trigger in the dagger we have been playing with was not good at all in the factory state (to the point of some failures). We ended up with one of the timney triggers on sale now at psa and that made it much better. The grip is another issue that may or may not bother you (individual preference). We put a comp on the dagger and it honestly doesn't feel much different than a non-comped g19 but I think this may be the grip angle which is confusing due to the dagger "feeling " better just in hand but the glock "feeling " better under recoil. Just thought I would give my opinion since you asked for that and we have been playing with one recently. YMMV. The dagger shoots good but I would not carry it for self defense.1 point

I have one without the break. It shoots just as good as my Glock 19. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another. The only downside might be resale value but I guess you could sell about any decent pistol for $250.1 point

Both are excellent pistols! Can't really go wrong with either. For me, I have medium sized hands, and I found the Safety on the CZ-75 hard to manipulate. But it was a supremely accurate pistol! I've never owned a SA35, but I have owned a Browning Hi-Power and it was the Goldilocks of single action autos for me! It fit just right!!! Sadly that pistol was stolen in a burglary (hope the bastard that stole it is burning in hell). I have handled the Girsan MC35 recently and it felt like an old friend. It's running about 2 or 300 hundred less that the SA35. But it is made in Turkey and some may not like that. Price wise, in the Knoxville area, you will generally spend about the same amount for either the CZ-75 or the SA35 (if you can find one).1 point

Tough choice if you can’t justify both. You really can’t go wrong either way. Which one do you like best? I guess I prefer the Hi Power, but I ain’t getting rid of either. They are both top shelf 9mm semi autos. Operation is similar. The Hi Power just has a certain mystique about it.1 point

Get the SA-35 now. It will cost less than the CZ-75 and then save like a fiend to add the CZ. Then your life will have meaning...............1 point

The Cz is big for my hand. I shot a high power probably 35 years ago and liked it and would like a sa 35 but I’m not willing to pay the price1 point

No kidding! My M1 carbines were $150 apiece. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago.1 point

I'm a relative new comer also, joining in January 2014, about 18 months before we moved to TN. I was checking out the local shooting crowd and see if they would accept a Yankee. Been fun, also many guns and a second gun safe ago. I have met lots of nice people and one of my best friends here.1 point

I'm guessing the list will be heavily edited. We'll never hear or see the big names on it.1 point

This is a gem. Of all the SKS out there, this is the one to have as an actual shooter due to the “M” taking AK mags. I’ve had many SKS over the years and this is a fine example from a great seller. GLWS1 point

Bump. FYI, someone on here was bugging me about finding it for cheaper somewhere else and how my price point would "make it hard to resell them in this economy". If that's you or your line of thought, keep walking. I am not here to facilitate your ability to maximize the value of these items. Also, good luck explaining to the alphabet boys your not-business strategy. And to boot, according to my research, you CAN'T find it cheaper anywhere else. Occasionally they show up on GB for less than $3K. These are extremely rare. And if you can find it IN STOCK cheaper somewhere else, I'll be happy to negotiate that with you. I am not unreasonable, but I am short on patience when it comes to the scheming little parasites in this community.1 point

Responding to this thread as well as all of 2agood's threads may well be a waste of time. Seems he was just a drive by. Registered 11-25, made 11 posts and hasn't been back since.1 point

This is the way. Just start wandering around gun shows and see what strikes your fancy. As far as C&R licenses go, look at it this way: anything older than 50 years is C&R. Want a Colt 1911 from 1972 or a Smith $ Wesson .44 Magnum from 1971? Maybe a 1970 Remington 700? Those examples are all technically C&R now… you just have to find a seller who agrees, lol.1 point
