  2. Her tour this summer was significant enough to be measured on a national economic scale. It was literally quoted in the Beige book as being a differentiator for regions that hosted shows. There seems to be a group of people looking to get folks stirred up against her. I think they’ve likely picked a poor target. I’d bet on her.

  3. I'm an old 70/80s rock guy so don't listen to her but I admire the hell out of her business acumen. The team she has built to help handle her business empire is impressive. Dive in and research how they do things. I respect that. What she has done to regain control of her music is genius. Now I could care less about her personal life as I do with all "stars". They don't influence my beliefs or values in any way.

  4. She was tolerable as a country artist, but it turned into teeny-pop fast. Not my cup of tea. Now that she's decided she wants her political ideals to be fused with her music, I find her even less tolerable.

  5. Up for trade is my Nighthawk Custom GRP Recon chambered in 45 acp. Fit, finish, and function as to be expected from NHC. This pistol has very minimal holster wear towards the muzzle and on the front rail from having a surefire x300 on it. Looking to trade for other high end 1911s in either 9mm or 45 acp such as Wilson combat , alchemy custom weaponry, NHC, Springfield custom shop, Ted Yost builds ect. Can add cash if your trade is worth more than the nighthawk. Thanks

Taylor Swift donates $1 million to Tennessee tornado relief "Nashville is my home and the fact that so many people have lost their homes and so much more in Middle Tennessee is devastating to me." https://www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture/pop-culture-news/taylor-swift-donates-1-million-tennessee-tornado-relief-n1150996

  8. Simpler than that. Load em up and haul em home. As far as turning them into cash, you have several options with varying difficulty/varying amounts of cash realized. 1) Easy…Take a cash offer from a schmuck like me and be done with it. 2) more difficult/more lucrative…employ an auction house with a good reputation to sell them, or find a reputable dealer to sell them on consignment. 3)‘most difficult/maximum profit…research value, advertise them, and sell each one individually yourself. This will require dealing with deadbeats, navigating the ever challenging world of shipping firearms, etc., but will realize maximum profit if you have the time and inclination to go that route.

  11. Thanks for the comments fellas. The mixed vegetables go in the smoker as well in a separate pan for about an hour. Had to make it look good in order to make a couple of our friends into venison converts... We eat venison all year and buy very little beef - got to get creative now and then.

  12. She gave out $55 million in bonuses to the crew that worked her tour - including $100k checks to each of her truck drivers. She didn’t go out and talk about it. Of course she knew that the recipients would. They talked about it like it was life changing in some instances. Good on her for supporting the people it takes to put that whole thing on. https://www.ajc.com/life/taylor-swift-gives-over-55-million-in-bonuses-to-crew-of-her-eras-tour/ZRDGDMJQVRDCFCHB4XX37AVXPM/

  14. If you and the person who left the arms for you are Tennessee residents, then there is no special transfer required. Private transfers are legal in TN, with no paperwork involved. An exception would be if there are NFA firearms included in the inheritance; things like suppressors or machine guns, for example. The for-sale forum on this site is a good place to sell, once you've established the value of your arms. Gunbroker is good, too, but you'll need an FFL holder to help you if you need to ship out of state.

  26. You might want to speak with an attorney who specializes in estates, but since there are multiple heirs you might be wise to document everything with bills of sale, just to be able to show where the guns went and what cash assets they brought. You could, of course, divide the guns between the heirs and leave each heir to decide whether to sell or keep them. Bear in mind that I am not an attorney, so anything I write here is really just my opinion. Do your own due diligence.

  28. Below is a class description from Cruel Hand Luke, aka Randy Harris. Randy frequently holds this class in Dayton, TN and Windrock shooting range. IMO if one is interested in documentation, than this is certainly a valid record ran by a well known firearms instructor under a controlled classroom environment. "We will be shooting some challenging warm up drills and then the Bakersfield PD Qual, Federal Air Marshal pistol qualification, FBI pistol qualification courses and a few others and finish up with a man vs man shoot off on steel and bowling pins! I will also keep records of these (if you are happy with your scores) for future reference and use . This will serve to get your shooting prowess on record by a third party in case it is ever needed in the future in some legal matter. This is also something your church might like to have for their records if you are a member of a church security team."

  29. Outpost Armory sent me an add and they had 3 22lr semi auto pistols on sale for the holiday. I purchased the Taurus TX Competitor for 190.00 off regular price of 459.00. I figured any time one can purchase a handgun new, for about half the price, it might be good. The other brand pistols were Sigs in 22LR, I think. One with an safety and one without. The Taurus is drilled and It has a plate on the top for a red dot sight to be added. Also has 3 dot sight on it. The trigger seems to be good because I snapped it a couple times. Don't favor snapping 22s without ammo in them. I like 22 LR practice because the bigger ones is so expensive to shoot like I once did. I have a Sig Mosquito that has been flawless, and a SW 317 8 shot ultralight 22 Revolver that I have put 1000's of round through both. The Taurus should be a good addition as my 22s are getting most rounds put through them on a regular basis. They also had a Federal 22 Lr ammo on sale for 555 rounds for 29.95. My S-I-Law wanted 2 boxes and grandson wanted 2 also. I purchased 8 boxes, which I kept for me. Haven't had the time to get it outside because my range is wet. Will try it soon, I hope. Rain forecasted for every day this coming week.

  35. BTW, I consider this collection to be "solid mid-tier". Nothing uber fancy, but no trash either. I wanted firearms that were worthy of depending my life upon but weren't needlessly fancy. Many items were new when I purchased them or like new, with the box or case. All have been gently used by me, never abused, never modified. A few can also come with range bags and most of the MBRs and ARs/AKs come with multiple magazines, which can remain loaded for the asking price. Accumulating a collection is fun and it builds over time (we all have the sickness of gun addiction). But I turned 40 on Good Friday this year and suddenly had an epiphany that I could theoretically live happily with one MBR, one AR, one shotgun, one bolt action rifle, one Glock, and maybe one 1911 and snubnose revolver, plus the inherited antiques that I'll never sell. I've been told this is a "gentleman's collection", which is flattering but probably not as fancy as it sounds. Everything I own has the potential to be a life-saving workhorse; even the FrankenAR has a 12.5" DD barrel, full billet lower, CMC flat-faced 3.5 lb trigger, Trijicon MRO, Red Jacket Firearms brake, and VTAC sling. It's far smoother-shooting than my DD Mk18. But I have this romantic idea of entering my middle-age with a respectable but modest collection of firearms and no stress on finances. Once upon a time I aimed to build "minuteman packages" with a rifle, shotgun and handgun in a range bag with the intention of handing them off to family and neighbors, should the end of the world come. I accomplished that, and then the apocalypse never came. Now I'm sitting on a small fortune. I help teach classes at a private gun club and house most of the firearms for use as rentals (though no one has ever rented any of them). But even if the apocalypse kicked off, I can only shoot one or two at a time and conceivably don't have a use for this many. Plus, I'm not looking to prove anything or show off a collection in a "man cave" or anything. I'm just a citizen who loves guns, like most other people. I've had my fun with them, loved them, and now they can move on to bless the next person who needs them far more than I do. I won't take a loss but I think everyone can still win. And if it doesn't work out, we can always reassess down the road.
