  1. For sale only - In Knoxville Bushmaster M17S – 5.56 bullpup design. A rarity. Early pre-ban rifle with some cool history, great conversation piece. These were only made for a few years in a very limited run in the late 80’s/early 90s. Comes with an early Swarovski reticle sight, which I was told was an evaluation model. $1500

  10. Forgot to post this here when it happened but better late than never.... (Oct 14th 2023) Today the year long journey to the IDPA World Championship match finished up. We shot half the match on Friday and the other half today. A couple of stages on Friday were not some of my best work but Saturday was pretty solid. In my entourage here was my everything Brandi Harris , my friend Trey Hudson , and my friend / coach / “man servant “ for the weekend Michael V Swisher . Mike helped keep me focused, manage equipment, pull the wagon, and strategize. For those who just want the cliff note version of the match , I finished in the top ten in my division at the World Championship with a 5th place in Master Class in the Backup Gun Division ! And finally a big thanks to my sponsor Natchez Outdoors ! Randy Harris Harris Combative Strategies Harriscombative.com Shooting past one of the NUMEROUS non threat targets. Look who I ran into....Rob Leatham and Mike Seeklander ....I need some serious help with my selfie game...

  12. The phrase "turns into" implies a change in plans along the way. Most political organizations are set up with the grifting aspect being part of the business/operating model. Even sincere ones that want to impact policy make sure someone or a few someones are taken care of along the way.

  14. What are you gonna shoot with it? For general plinking, a 22 Long Rifle is my cartridge of choice. Low recoil, low noise, and low cost. 45-70 is pricey cartridge unless you cast and handload. They also provide a considerably amount of recoil. Lever rifles chambered for revolver cartridges are a good compromise, and you can then carry the same ammo for your rifle and sidearm, which is neat.

  18. For sale only - In Knoxville dropped price to $800 Springfield Defender 1911 C - .45 ACP, very cool piece. This is a commander sized 1911 that was modified as a race gun by an excellent gunsmith at Guncraft Sports in Knoxville back in the 90s. It has an adjustable rear site, Chip McCormack internals, extended slide release, compensator, full size slide spring and bolt, and trigger work.

  23. .45-70 because it’s a beast and a real crowd pleaser but you might find yourself asking for recommendations on reloading. $2 a pop gets old after a while.

  27. I’m personally on a quest to have one cambered in most of the common’ish cartridges. So far I have .22lr, .45LC, 45-70, .38spc/.357. I’m hoping Ruger Marlin releases a dark series 30-30, and I recently heard of a company making one chambered in .500 S&W. For me lever guns, particularly ones without the traditional wood look, have multiplied more than anything else in my collection.

  30. This is a bridgeport manual milling machine. I moved here about a year ago and I brought this with me from my old shop, but when we set up shop here I ended up getting a new one. Its been sitting about a year (inside, climate controlled) and could use a good cleaning, but its in running condition. This machine is definitely not the prettiest, but its great for the home shop. About 2 years ago I replaced the table bushings and partially rebuilt the head. The table is nice and tight with almost no backlash. The runs smooth and fairly quiet. It comes as pictured. I may have a few collets that can go with it, but I will have to check. This runs on 3 phase power, so you will need a phase converter if you do not have 3 phase. I do not have a great way to load it, so best option is have a drop deck trailer or something where we can just pallet jack it on. I do have a car lift that I have used to load one in the back of a pickup before. If a forklift is needed, I do have a friend locally that we can likely work out a deal to use it. I am looking to sell this for $1500 cash. I would also be open to various trades. Any questions give a shout! I am off exit 311 on 40. (Crossville area).

  31. Once you have a handful of "no frills" guns... start being more discerning when you are actually out searching for a specific addition. Yes, like almost all of us, if the wrong gun comes along at the right price, oops now there's a new one in the safe. But in cases like yours where you're not just open to whatever comes along but you've got a specific caliber/use/need in mind, why not skip the cheap stuff (it'll come along eventually) and get something that is actually useful *and* gives you a meaningful impression of that specific role you want to fill? Looking for a plinking .22 so you buy a cheap beater Western Field and decide you don't like rimfire because they have too many misfires, when really it's the deformed firing pin. Want a concealable pocket gun so you get a Jennings .25 and decide all tiny guns are underpowered and unreliable. Or need a big bopper for a pile of 10mm and the High Point Yeet Cannon sours your taste for the big boy auto because the hand feel and recoil impulse are lousy... well, in each case you let $200 separate you from a good experience in that role you were looking to fill. There are so many good 10mm out there, now. P320 XTen is my favorite affordable quality, but a RIA 10mm is fun enough to shoot, and accurate. Plus, it doesn't take a hammer and punch to break down a mid-tier 10mm like the Yeet Cannon does.

  32. I like that. Well said. I’ve seen some of the builds you’ve posted and I think I may go that route. In the next week or so I’m going to start parting out some budget gear and optics. I think it makes sense for me to have 3 slide assemblies for the tx-22 as mine takes a beating and will eventually wear. If I haven’t mounted a scope and it doesn’t have a dedicated home I’m going to let those go. Already texted a buddy who had interest in one of my safe queens and that’s gone. Probably going to trim the .22 long guns and upgrade those and start there. It may be a decent Christmas for a few family members if I can figure out transport and legalities. Thanks to all who replied. And I also did get a serious chuckle out of Garufa accurately pointing out my current dilemma .

  35. Kool Old Skool. About 2005 I was getting in my car across the street from Third National Bank on Mboro Rd and I see this guy walking across their parking lot with a long raincoat,he walked up to the door peeked in the door and pulled your setup from under his raincoat and walk in. He was a Metro Detective and the Cars swarmed in behind him. Bank had just been robbed.

  36. Ha. That last time the NRA called, I very politely and very sincerely told the nice lady that I would gladly donate to them when they became a pro-gun organization again. She was at first silent, but then sorta attempted to explain that she was calling on the behalf of the "National Rifle Association, a pro-gun group". I repeated myself and explained I'd be giving my money to GOA but would gladly through some towards the NRA when they became a pro-gun organization. She politely concluded the call and I'm 99% sure that's the last call I received from them.

  37. Bought this one a little while ago with plans to mod it pretty good but just haven't had time. Gun was bought new and has not been fired outside of the factory test fire. I did use one of the mags for a ranges session in on of my other CZs so you can see it has been used. If that bothers you I can swap out a nib 16 rd mag for the used one. Feel free to PM with any questions, not sure what else to tell you about a brand new gun $550
