  1. A few months back I up a 870 Police magnum from a member on the site. Added a 3 shot extension and just put it up while looking for a good folding stock for it. Well there was another 870 for sale here that had the stock that would go just right for my Police Magnum, here is the results.

  2. (All sold) Two Ruger single action revolvers for sale or trade in Chattanooga. First is an as-unfired/zero cylinder trace, original Super Single Six circa 1971 with a 5-1/2" barrel, The Super Six had both 22LR and 22Mag cylinders. The old school three screw pistol featured the original design, which does NOT have a transfer bar. Some prefer the old collectible version, but others prefer the free conversion to prevent accidental discharge. I always kept it original. There is light muzzle finish wear on the right side of the muzzle, only visible if you play with the light just right. $400 or trade. SOLD: The second is a 1982 New Model Super Blackhawk in 44 Magnum with a 7-1/2" barrel. The highlights of this revolver are the unique ebony and imitation ivory grips. Faint muzzle finish wear and cylinder trace showing use. Asking $700 OBO (or trade!); I've never come across grips like this before. Maxfam ID'ed them for me as Jay Scott grips, manufactured and discontinued in the 70's.

  3. That sort of negates the purpose of the feedback system. I guess I’m hard headed, but I’ll shout it from the rooftops if I have a bad deal in the classifieds. I think everyone else has a right to know.

  4. I have for sale a complete, unfired collection of the second (revised/improved) version of the Automag 2, in every barrel length they manufactured. The original "M" prefix suffered from some flaws with the ball bearing jumping and holding the slide open intermittently. This collection consists of a 3.5" version C prefix (first revision, solving the issue by converting to a hold-open pin), and these 4.7" and 6" "H" prefix pistols are the final series, manufactured by Hi Standard. All are as-new, with two of them still holding the factory original warning labels. I have a 6" that I've fired for many years and I am keeping; these collectibles are for sale or trade. Asking $1600 for all three.

  8. SOLD - 1978 Colt 1911 Gold Cup National Match Series 70 45 ACP + 5 magazines. Extremely crisp trigger and wickedly accurate. The pistol has been a safe queen in our family and I've decided to find a new home for this beautiful piece. I do not have the original box or anything beyond the pistol, the magazines, and the pistol pouch seen in the picture.

  9. I'm a lifetime member of the NRA and several other organizations. I have told the NRA I will not give them another dime until changes are made. Now I do give heavily to several of the other organizations like GOA, TFA, FPC, SAF and others.

  10. Ha. That last time the NRA called, I very politely and very sincerely told the nice lady that I would gladly donate to them when they became a pro-gun organization again. She was at first silent, but then sorta attempted to explain that she was calling on the behalf of the "National Rifle Association, a pro-gun group". I repeated myself and explained I'd be giving my money to GOA but would gladly through some towards the NRA when they became a pro-gun organization. She politely concluded the call and I'm 99% sure that's the last call I received from them.

  12. When an organization becomes a self-licking ice cream cone, it's time to raze it to the ground and start over. The NRA's political clout ain't what it used to be, so this wouldn't be as impactful as some think. Before social media, the gun community needed them to carry the banner, but now, not so much. And it's a shame. This organization probably made shooting more accessible and safer than anyone could when that was the focus. The turn to politics because that's where the money was (maybe still is) diluted a lot of purpose and value. I'd love to see a deep dive into the expenditures by ProPublica...it would probably be worse than we think.

  13. I've had much discussion on this topic with another member. Although we have the feedback system, I know I have personally refrained from leaving negative feedback on an individual multiple times and fear that they would leave negative feedback on me purely for retaliation. Funny thing is that I had a bad deal with one member and spoke with several other members who had had less than pleasant experiences with that individual. None of us had left him negative feedback for the same reasons.

  14. I appreciate you articulating that you felt I was arrogant and condescending, because I am trying to see how I ruffled the feathers as I have. Maybe I did step in and start speaking from generalizations and people took that personally. That was not my intent. I am just another dude, with an opinion, I apologize if you thought I was trying to do anything more than encourage other gun owners to let their voices be heard. I think what has surprised me is it feels like this thread in someways has made my point with those original overgeneralization. I know the firearm community is a very wisdom rich community, some of the nicest people I know have come from meeting people at gun shows and shooting benches and it bums me out when I watch as the left characterizes us as being a community that is rude, condescending and unable to articulate our position. I know thats not true, but I would be lying if I said, I havent experienced some of those accusations in this thread. Thank you for sharing your thoughts in a way I could respond gregintenn

Cool fluted barrel and has a really good action and trigger. 2 15 round mags and is cut for optics. Has a Vedder iwb holster included. Bought this and have since decided I need to focus more on one platform, so a partial trade for a Sig Macro or 365xl plus cash would be considered. $1300 Northern mid TN area. PENDING

  22. $1550 / possible trade for other AK Information below from Atlantic Firearms website The Galil SAR Rifle Battlefield Pick Up built by Southern Tactical is based off the Original Galil SAR from IMI in Israel. These rifles are built using Good Condition or better Miliary Surplus SAR parts and the correct amount of US parts to be complaint with 922r. This Galil SAR Rifle Battlefield Pick Up built uses a high quality Tortort TGL Receiver as the core of the pistol with a U.S. Nitride treated 13" barrel, threaded at 13mmx1 RH(same as the original from IMI) with a permanently attached barrel extension to make the barrel a legal rifle length. Each rifle will ship with an original IMI 35 round metal magazine. Southern Tactical wanted these builds to look as close to the originals as possible and took the time to mark the receivers as they would have been marked in Israel, with Hebrew selector markings, as well as other receiver marking to mirror the originals. To set these builds apart, the new metal parts are worn to match the finish of the original metal parts from the kit to give you the battle worn look.

  25. I never had anyone fail. But I've had several that would have if they didn't start listening. We always had people warm up prior to shooting for qualification. The guys who "have been shooting for 30 years" were usually the worst. I had people take the class who actually didn't own a gun - they just borrowed one for the class. The funnest part was after everyone qualified, we would pull out other guns for people to try. It was great seeing people's joy at shooting a suppressed AR for the first time. We kept people on the range for the required time but at least we made it fun.

  26. If I wasn't already on the Ultra I'd be all over this. Good luck with your sale! This will make a fantastic Apple Watch for anyone that wants one. Sometimes I "wish" I could wear some of the "cool" analog watches I've seen. Between the Citizen Ecodrive and then of course some of the mechanical offerings by others, there are so many amazing and gorgeous timepieces on the market. Anytime I've tried any of them, I always finding myself missing my Apple Watch and its functionality.

  32. Greg, I found him to be intelligent and interested. Unlike a lot of other Tennesseans who expect others to carry their water, he is seeking to find a way to get involved (trusting leftist to give them a fair shake is something they have to learn is non-productive) but endeavor is a good thing. I offered that when I go back to the legislature, I would be glad to lead him around the corners. Like many who move here, I think possibly the perception of Tennessee is far different from the reality, and when they reach the Promised Land and find it is not quite that, they seek to get involved to keep it from becoming what they left.

  33. I had this happen, come to find out they were trying to flip it for more money. They had made a deal before they had made a purchase from me. When they followed with another email a day later they were offended I had sold it to someone without checking with them.? Seriously, these are they same ppl that camp in the left lane and can't understand why people are passing them on the right.

  34. Every time the nice lady calls to solicit a donation, I politely tell her, " Ma'am, I will not donate another dime to the NRA until Wayne LaPierre and company are no longer associated with it. I would appreciate it if you could pass this message along." They never seem surprised, and act as if I'm not the first to make this statement. I am a life member from way back, and would really like my money back at this point. It is a damned shame what this once great organization has become.

  35. That response tells me that you are really missing the point, and this makes it even more difficult to extend you the benefit of the doubt. Let me try again. 1.) You say you were invited to participate in a three-day round table event hosted by people who are aligned with gun control agendas. 2.) You haven't said why you were invited. We don't know if it is because of your job as a personal counselor or if the invitation was made to the general public. All we know is that you accepted the offer and participated. 3.) You qualified your Pro 2A stance by letting us know that you are a hunter and even use your AR for that. You have to understand that we've all heard that line from a lot of gun control advocates for... decades... now. We don't know how deep your commitment to the Second Amendment runs. 4.) Your posts so far have contained a lot of the other rhetoric that gun control advocates use: We don't engage them enough. We come across as brash, bombastic assholes. (Guilty) We're entrenched and unwavering, which seems to suggest that we need to negotiate more. 5.) We still have no idea really what you told these people and whether you did more damage than good. Did you sign anything that allows that group to use your name and likeness and words in future marketing materials? Did you tell them what they wanted to hear versus what would have been more representative of the true desires of most gun owners in Tennessee? There is this concept of being a "useful idiot" and, frankly, we want to make sure that isn't what you gave them. 6.) There are signs in what you've said and on your professional websites that suggests you are a transplant to Tennessee. That's fine; a lot of us are. But are you fresh off the boat and overrunning with youthful exuberance, or have you been here long enough to have assimilated into the culture of the people you thought you were representing? As someone who has stressed their qualifications as a mental health professional several times in this thread, I would think that you would understand the psychology of crowds better. Approaching the TGO community a little more carefully on this topic probably would have yielded better results. Instead, you basically showed up to the neighborhood bar where everyone knows each other, clearly the new guy, and told us all you were here to help us do better. Tell me I'm wrong. Anyway, stick around. It's not a bad bar and these aren't bad people. We're all just naturally skeptical.
