  5. This is a great carry gun, just put some nights sights on it. When I am wearing a light jacket, this is my go to. This is also a good price, surprised no one has snatched this yet.

  6. I didn't realize they were doing that for driver's licenses now. That's helpful info right there! I usually go very early, like show up before they open, and still have stood in line a while. I got my gold star in December of 2019, well, actually mine is a white star in a gold circle.

  7. For future reference, when you need to renew your license, make an appointment and skip the line. Still only about 15-20 minutes.

  8. Finally someone noticed what I've been saying!! To answer your question, I believe it's capitalism/greed. I don't think there are local taxes on gas in TN, only state level. I've been noticing the same thing for over a year now. It changed during COVID. If I leave Knoxville and drive to a rural area, gas is sometimes .40 less. When you consider the fuel depot is in Knoxville it makes no sense. They had to pay more to haul the gas to the rural area, so if anything, you'd think it would cost more. If anyone has a better explanation I'm willing to listen.

  9. Same here. Some of the talking heads speculate they're cleaning house to rebuild. Maybe they have realized this season's shot. Desperation has arrived.

  10. Plus, they traded A.J. Brown last year to the Eagles . He made it to the Super Bowl with them. One of the best receivers in the league. I don't understand it either.

  11. How is it harder to get restrictions reduced, such as the sign issue, for the enhanced carry permit than it is get unlicensed handgun carry passed through the legislature?

  16. I've shot several deer with 223 because it's what I had at the time. 50gn Noslers will do the job, but it isn't pretty and I don't recommend it. I've used this set up twice, both in the ear, both dropped in their tracks but did a lot of kicking once down. I didn't care for that. I've also taken deer with 62 and 77gn bullets, boiler room shots that did a good job. You mentioned an AR, provided your barrel has a 1:7 or 1:8 twist rate it will generally do better with a heavier bullet. Might try something along the lines of a 69-77gn JSP. In my opinion and experience there is nothing wrong with using a .223 for deer. You shouldn't be taking marginal shots with any caliber and a well placed shot with a .223 will absolutely do the trick.

  18. Here's another one you don't see often. $1500 CASH FTF. This started out a 1980 THE 1955 MODEL TARGET it's Bbl. has been shortened to 3" THE 1955 TARGET MODEL was not stamped on the Bbl. it's my understanding that most were not Re-Stamped due to the 3"Bbl. and the N Frame Square Butt was converted to the K Frame Round Butt so K Frame Grips are what fit it. No Box. I've had a few S&W pepole say that it could be a Jovino or Austin Behlert but I do know that a few other gunsmith did this type of conversations in the late 60' to the late 80's. I don't know for sure who done the work, but it was done correctly and looks good. I live in the Whitehouse area and can meet locally around Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, Gallatin and N Nashville area's, but I can drive half way to meet if your serious about buying it. Thanks for looking. Here's some pictures of it. There is some marks on the right side of the Bbl. from taking it out of the safe and has the S&W Cylinder Turn Ring on it as shown in pics. Rnd. Count is unknown but from the pictures it wasn't fired much from what I can tell.

  19. Not wanting to take over Erich's thread but can share what bit i know about the XM21 and it's commercial M21 enhanced version. Have a look at the Wiki page on the military history of the M21 and you'll find National Match M14s got a boost from riflestock and scope add-ons to be more accurate for sniper work. That improved system paid big dividends in backing off the enemy snipers plinking on our troops. To capitalize on those successful accuracy enhancements, commercial builders brought forward product which sometimes improved over what was acceptable to the military. On top of that, precise dual stage trigger geometry became a thing. In my opinion, Springfield Armory's version was the most refined and is probly what Erich is looking for. Hard to find and runs 300-400 bucks but is a definite improvement over the factory stick.

  20. https://www.ammoplanet.com/products/aguila-22-super-extra-lead-bullet-box?noemail 5000 rounds shipped to my door for $210. Remove shipping protection and just use a CC for chargebacks if something happens. SMS10 for promo code knocks off 10%. I wouldn’t hesitate on this one. If anyone’s see. 5.56 prices last week since the conflict people are buying and 9mm is creeping up too. Turkish clones have increased. I feel the bottom was last couple weeks for ammo prices and now we’ll catch the presidential cycle increases. Seems everything PSA normally runs from complete/uppers/lowers/ammo has increased 10-15% since Israel. I don’t claim to know anymore than anyone else does but 4.1 CPR is 4.1 CPR.
