  1. We wouldn't have situations like this if police weren't allowed to own post-ban machineguns either. Practically every SOT licensee has post-ban full auto blasters because it's fun. I bet less than 10% of them are for demo purposes. Don't get me wrong. I think they and the police should be allowed to have them, but I think we should be allowed to have them too. It's just that we live in this caste-based society where one group of people gets to own something that another group of people can't, and that rubs me the wrong way. #FullysForEveryone

  2. So I finally got a butt plate in I could work with. I forgot to take a photo before I trimmed it down on the router table. But here are the results. It’s not perfect (the router bit chattered a little). But it definitely gives the stock a finished look.

  5. Between buying three different butt plates and a $30 router bit, I still came out spending less $$ than finding a replacement stock. And I kept the original.

  6. I started playing golf when I was 11 years old. I used my dads old golf set from the 1950's. I had a driver, 3-wood, 5-7-9 irons, and a flat head putter. The course I played on growing up was a short course around 6000 yds total, but did have four difficult holes on the course. Membership for those under 18 was $45 per yr unlimited play. In the summer when school was out my mother would drop me off at the course at 8:00am and pick me up around 8:00pm Monday thru Friday. I could play 18 holes walking in about 2 1/2 hrs, so I was able to get in about four rounds per day in. By the time I was in Middle School 7th, 8th, and 9th grade I had a 38 average for 9 holes. That was good enough to be the number one man on the golf team and was also the number one man on my High School team. After High School I got a job as Second Assistant and Caddy Master at Gary County Club in Gary, Indiana and participated in Pro Am golf tournaments in the area. The only major PGA tournament I played in was the 1980 Panasonic Open in Las Vegas. I was invited to play in the Pro Am and had a really great time. I determined that golf was not going to be my career so I moved to Denver and worked for Coors Brewing Co. At Coors we had a golf program that we played at a different course each weekend and I was the companies number one golfer with a 3 handicap. Left Denver and moved to Memphis when Coors purchased the Stroh's Brewery. Continued to play golf until my back went out and stopped playing golf. The last time I played a round of golf was in the yr. 2000. I really miss playing golf. Below are a few pictures when I was playing golf. The first one is in High School. I am the one in the white sweater. The second picture was at our city tournament which I was second place. I am on the right. The last picture I am with some of the qualifiers for a Pro Am in Hammond, Indiana. I am the second from the right.

  7. Thats not what I’m saying. Statutes that make “crimes” out of actions that don’t actually have a victim are what is evil. No victim, no crime.

  9. I bought this conversion barrel from lone wolf with the intention of purchasing a glock 22 to put it in, because that’s how it works. I ended up getting a great deal on a glock 35 that this does not fit. This is a fluted barrel and it fits the glock 22 and 31 models. Looking to get $100 or .223/5.56 ammo

  10. Here's another one you don't see often. $1500 CASH FTF. This started out a 1980 THE 1955 MODEL TARGET it's Bbl. has been shortened to 3" THE 1955 TARGET MODEL was not stamped on the Bbl. it's my understanding that most were not Re-Stamped due to the 3"Bbl. and the N Frame Square Butt was converted to the K Frame Round Butt so K Frame Grips are what fit it. No Box. I've had a few S&W pepole say that it could be a Jovino or Austin Behlert but I do know that a few other gunsmith did this type of conversations in the late 60' to the late 80's. I don't know for sure who done the work, but it was done correctly and looks good. I live in the Whitehouse area and can meet locally around Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, Gallatin and N Nashville area's, but I can drive half way to meet if your serious about buying it. Thanks for looking. Here's some pictures of it. There is some marks on the right side of the Bbl. from taking it out of the safe and has the S&W Cylinder Turn Ring on it as shown in pics. Rnd. Count is unknown but from the pictures it wasn't fired much from what I can tell.

  17. Natches has some very low price on either 9mm or 40 CCI Independence brass. It was 199.99 for 1k about 2 hours ago, now showing at 209.99. But the catch is, all the other gun crazy horders are slammin their website and you may not be able to get in. I have been trying on and off for the last 2 hours and get internal server error, so have not been able to verify the caliber. I am assuming that some folks are managing to get in and buy based on their site volume alogarithm upping the price . Good luck. Hope some of the gents here can luck into some

  18. I have searched both of those smiths and the majority of their builds were 2 5/8"Bbl's they did do some 3" also. But to clarify my add I never said it was built by either, just that some others had commented it " Looked like", and I said: "I know that a number of other gunsmiths did this also".That's why I posted that I don't know who done it, but it is well done, I don't want someone to think it was done by those two.

  19. Its not a Jovino or a Behlert. Both of those cut the barrel a bit shorter and had to eliminate the front locking bolt on the Ejector Rod. Opting for a detent ball in the crane instead. However during the 80's this was a popular configuration and many smaller gunsmiths did their own versions. This one looks like a good job. I'm thinking that mark that looks to be a "Y" inside a triangle may well be a maker's mark. But I have no idea who's. Anyway, its a nice gun. GLWS.

  20. just bought some Speer Gold Dot Hollow Point 45 Auto 230 grain GDHP The packing was kind of flimsy ...they just put 5 boxes of ammo in a medium size box with no bubble wrap or newspaper. The ammo they shipped was what I ordered ...target Sports did a worse job the last time I bought from them. I called before I placed the order and asked him about some bad reviews online that I saw. He seems like a nice guy, but I only ordered Ammo... So, I am not saying buy with confidence by any stretch. https://www.scam-detector.com/validator/gunprime-com-review/ https://www.trustpilot.com/review/gunprime.com https://www.bbb.org/us/al/birmingham/profile/gun-dealers/gunprime-llc-0463-90185263 https://www.reddit.com/r/gundealsFU/comments/7hrukm/anybody_order_from_gunprime/?rdt=64878

  25. Probably the same thing he told the officials. “I’ll make it worth your while”. As much as I despise Alabama, Saban is probably the best coach in the business and that blasted team always finds a way to win.
