Got a few puppies left in our litter that are currently 6 weeks old. Had a 7:1 split of males and females. Puppies will have 4 rounds of wormer and 1st rounds of shots. Located in Lyles, TN . I've been letting the wife do the negotiating but she's been asking $1000 .... Im knocking them down to $500 to ensure they go to good homes.4 points

I bought it a couple of years ago. Loaded it and put in in a desk drawer and left it there. I thought I would carry it but never did. It is still in new unfired condition. Nothing wrong with it, I am just on a Snub 38 kick these days. Comes with box, two mags and everything that it had when new. Located in Lenoir City. $385 or would consider a trade on a nice short barrel revolver and pay any difference.3 points

Tennessee has a pretty good history with firearms manufacturing. As of 2021 there were apparently 82 firearms manufacturers in Tennessee and they made 185,720 according to the ATF. The largest being Beretta. That is according to this article https://tennesseeconservativenews.com/how-tennessee-ranks-in-gun-manufacturing/ I am not fully sure how that number of 82 was reached as there are 502 Type 07 (Manufacturer of Firearms Other Than Destructive Devices) License Holders according to the ATF as of Sep 2023. Probably the number of license holders that filed paperwork on a new firearm (serial number) created with the ATF. I know many of those 82 manufacturers were likely small business producing small numbers of custom rifles but they still have a type 07 license to manufacture. Some are gunsmiths that do repairs and produce replacement parts or custom guns so they carry the 07 license but do not produce new firearms. There are also probably some on the books as legacy companies, i.e. they are no longer producing but someone owns the name, intellectual property, and/or rights to business related items so they maintain the license. Finally there are a slew of suppliers and manufacturers that do not produce an actual firearm but they have on 07 license to be able to transfer firearms and firearm components through their facility to do business. Think a company that does anodizing of aluminum. A firearms manufacturer sends a raw aluminum receiver to them and they anodize it then return it to the customer. That is an ATF book transaction for the anodize shop. Ramo Manufacturing (Ramo Defense Systems) was operating back in the 1960's and 1970's I believe all the way up through 2002 when they were bought by Guy Savage creating Sabre Defense. Ramo had military contracts and were producing M2 50 cal machine guns. We all know what became of Sabre Defense. Barrett started in 1982, 40th anniversary was last year for them. Beretta moved to TN in April 2016 Some others I know of. Defiant Machine Works (Adams, TN) Troy Industries (Clarksville) Tennessee Arms Company (Dyersburg) they were doing and may still be doing polymer frame receivers and such. CMT Tactical (Cross Machine Tool) (Lexington, TN) one of many doing AR receivers (upper and lower) There are 1,989 total ATF licenses in TN (not including Type 03 Collector of Curios and Relics). Note: some of those License holders hold multiple license types. For instance Barrett holds Type 07, 08, and 10 Licenses while Beretta holds Type 07, 08, 10, and 11 licenses. Also interesting is according to the ATF there are currently (Sep 2023) 50 - Type 06 (Manufacturer of Ammunition for Firearms) licenses in Tennessee 47 - Type 08 (Importer of Firearms Other Than Destructive Devices) licenses 17 - Type 10 (Manufacturer of Destructive Devices) licenses2 points

Why not just go for a CZ P-01 or even the P-07? Those are both a bit lighter than a full size CZ-75. I will also add that a good purpose-built gun belt generally makes heavier guns less of a burden to carry. I'm still a fan of TheBeltMan.net for quality EDC gun belts.2 points

Dear folks... A new mania has beset me. I keep being pulled toward a CZ 75 clone for carry; but I'ma thinkin they are just too heavy. That said; do any of y'all have any thoughts and/or experience with the polymer framed version that IWI builds..? Here's his real name from the Buds site: IWI US, Inc. US Jericho 941 Enhanced Let me know what y'all think. Many thanks, leroy...1 point

so similar concept. our church is currently meeting in the elementary school gym on Sunday, it is my understanding I cannot carry there as it is still a school. Later this year we will be transitioning to our new church which will also have a private school on site, I was hoping that since it will be a private school I would be able to carry to church on Sunday but reading this makes me think otherwise?1 point

Yeah I think if in Maryville then Tennessee Silencer is the place to go. If I remember right they are just outside of Maryville in Seymour. Volunteer State Armory in Lenoir City is a class 3 dealer but I had to go to sheriff to fingerprint and Walgreens for picture. I completed my paperwork and sent in nearly a year ago and I’m assuming the Biden ATF are dragging there feet or maybe I am a criminal who can legally buy guns but not class 3 items. Mine is a 2 stamp application don’t know if it takes longer for a Can and a sbr. i love Mr Cash in Lenoir city but wish I would have just went to TN Silencer.1 point

I disagree with only the federal government policing us. The only function our federal government should attend to is maintaining the security of OUR nation. We do not need them policing us, we have state and local government for that. Maintaining our security sometimes involves fighting foreign wars, I try to elect leaders I trust to make that decision in our best interest. You are correct on the rest, including our governments spectacular failure lately.1 point

Like any other unrest in the world, this has the US hog’s fingerprints all over it. My only point in what I posted earlier is that the entire world would be a better place if the US stayed home and attended to its own problems. Our government is not the world’s police. The world does not want them to be the world’s police. I can’t recall anything the US gov hasn’t made worse by attempting to be the world’s police. They should be OUR police. A job they’ve failed miserably at lately.1 point

If nothing else, this invasion of Israel shows the importance of the 2nd Amendment in America. Israel does not permit private citizens to own firearms. Now it's time for Israel to get their own 2nd Amendment and start killing the invaders. While this won't affect those progressives who want to disarm Americans, this is the best example yet of why private ownership of firearms and the 2nd Amendment is the supreme amendment to the Constitution. Without the 2nd, none of the other amendments matter.1 point

I think Israel should wipe Hamas off the map but it's hard (impossible?) to kill an ideology. At best they'll just kick the can down the road by killing a generation, but they'll create a whole new generation of zealots who are seething with an even more intense fire by doing so. This all feels like armchair quarterbacking, though. Spectator sport. What worries me is that the same people who hate Israel hate America and I really don't care what their reasons are or whether we or Israel have it coming. The reality is that governments have it coming and that citizens are collateral damage. I don't want my kids to be someone else's collateral damage. That said, I'm pretty convinced this #### is coming to an America near you at some future point in time. I hope I am wrong, but if it does, it's going to be all of our problem in a much more real way than bickering about it on the Internet.1 point

I really feel that trying to moderate political threads on TGO is like trying to pick up a turd by the clean end. It can't be done. I also feel that forbidding discussion of political things is a similar proposition. Politics are so intertwined with firearms and firearms ownership that people drawn to guns and gun forums will also always be drawn to talking about political topics. Even if the topics seemingly have nothing to do with guns. At a fundamental level, all political topics involve force or the threat of force once you start making laws. Instituting a law requires the threat of repercussions if the law isn't obeyed. The government's answer to the question, "Or else - what?" always has been that they will use force to remove you from public or even the gene pool if you fail to comply. We could try [again] to forbid anything political being discussed on TGO, but that also means people won't be allowed to talk about current events. This doesn't appeal to me. Or I could just tell people to grow the #### up and be ready to receive it if you dish it out and see who's left standing. I swear, though. The absolute intolerance of other opinions makes me think some of y'all pee sitting down.1 point

there is an old adage comparing dedicated and committed using a pig and a chicken. I believe if we lend aid we are chicken, if it is in our interest to be involved in anything we should be committed, commitment involves sacrifice. Y'all need to think about this, we need to be a community here, discuss and learn, be united in our interests. If Ukraine is a needed ally, we should have sent forces in to quickly secure their sovereignty, if not we should stay the hell out. Same goes for Israel or any other nation. Look at history and see what happens when we stick our nose where it does not belong and what happens when we do not protect strategically important foreign nations. How many lives would have been saved had we entered WWII earlier? What if we had stayed out of Vietnam? Weigh these things carefully.1 point

Here's an original Remington chambered in 38 rimfire. I've toyed with the idea of trying to adapt a 38 Special cylinder to it, but probably never will. Although it retains virtually no finish, it is tight as a new one. I think the ivory grips are a nice touch as well. They are yellowed from age, but remain undamaged.1 point
