For sale, mid 50s Springfield production M1 rifle. Very nice condition. Looks to be original condition with all Springfield parts with exception of the H&R trigger housing. I have had several M1s over the past 40 years and this one is the nicest one off all. $1600. Sold to qualified Tennessee residents or C&R FFLs.2 points

Started feeding birds 2 weeks ago. Been having problems with Black Birds eating all the feed and the songbirds not getting any. I was feeding a mixture of Classic Pennington Wild Bird Feed, Black Oil Sunflower Seeds, and Suet. I just put out the Sunflower Seed and the Black Birds and starlings don't like them, so they are leaving the feeders alone. You would not believe how many songbirds we have. My wife and I are loving it. Purple Finches, Titmouse, Black Capped Chickadees, Woodpeckers, Blue Jays, Cardinals, and a few more, are visiting regularly.1 point

The Mepro 21 is the best optic I've ever owned. I have one on my S&W FPC and it's deadly. Good price for this new one w/the extras.1 point

I believe I have 3 boxes of bullets to go with this as well. If you know about the 5mm they aren't the easiest to find.1 point

I’ve got 4 boxes of 22 ammo I no longer need. It’s the federal auto match and there is 325 rounds in each box. $70 in the South Nashville area. Do travel some for work, so maybe can meet along the way.1 point

Tomcat Bait Chunks and they sell it at CO-OP stores. It says it works outdoors also. My neighbor uses it in his chicken house and storage building where he stores his animal foods.1 point

Just use old fashioned mouse/rat spring traps baited with peanut butter. I've caught lots of mice and several rats with them. Walmart and any hardware store has them. There's several versions and manufacturers, but they all make the critters dead. They're cheap, easy, and effective. Glue traps catch other things you might not want to catch. Poison tends to flow upwards and kill the good critters that eat the rodents.1 point

The claymore is a nice knife. D2 is an interesting steel choice - it’s an amazing tool steel - but it does require some care. It’s a hard use steel. Take care of it and it will serve you well for a long time. Corrosion resistance isn’t as good as some of the more modern super steels. But, this is a powdered CPM variant - so it’s also not your grandpa’s D2. It’s a coated blade, so this should be a non-issue for most EDC folks. If you get caught in the rain - wipe it down. If you cut up a bunch of oranges - wipe it down. Just keep it clean and don’t worry about it. D2 does take some practice and determination to sharpen. As has been mentioned above - it’s easier to keep it sharp than it is to get it sharp once it’s dull. I also wouldn’t worry about this much. Invest in some decent tooling if you haven’t already and sharpening won’t be an issue. Note that I’d reach for my diamond stones first on a dull D2 blade. Use that old whetstone you’ve got in the garage and you’ll be at it for a while. The final thing I’d note is that this blade is hardened to a Rockwell 60-62. This is hard. You can get a blistering edge - but it’ll be prone to chipping if you don’t make good choices about what you cut. All in all - a good choice for an EDC that won’t let you down if asked to do bigger jobs.1 point

**SOLD** Continuing my gear purge and found this scope in the closet. Athlon makes some surprisingly good glass for the money. I'm sure I bought this for one of the many 10/22 builds I've done over the years, but never got around to mounting it to anything. Of note, Athlon offers a lifetime transferrable warranty just like Vortex does, which is pretty stellar in this day and age. Looks like they go for around $150 brand new, so just looking to get $75 for this one. I'll also throw in a set of never-used Vortex 1" rings in medium, so for $75 you can add a scope to anything in your .22LR collection Located in West Nashville and happy to drive within a reasonable distance if you're interested. Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for looking!1 point

I don't know who I get mad at more, the left for their crazy attacks or the right and/or pro 2A folks. I hear a lot of talk but very very little action from pro 2A people. Most have a mindset of I'll leave it for somebody else to fight.1 point
