  3. For sale, mid 50s Springfield production M1 rifle. Very nice condition. Looks to be original condition with all Springfield parts with exception of the H&R trigger housing. I have had several M1s over the past 40 years and this one is the nicest one off all. $1600. Sold to qualified Tennessee residents or C&R FFLs.

  6. So this old picture was sent to me by an Uncle. Its my Grandfather, sometime in either 1923 or 1924, holding two pistols in front of the old home place in the mountains. I thought id give it a shot to recreate since it is very close to being exactly 100 years apart.

  7. No they both disappeared sometime before my dad was born in 54. Its unknown if they were sold, traded or stolen. Grandpa was born in 1900 and died in 84 and was somewhat of a local legend so who knows where they ended up. We have a few guns from Grandpa but nothing that would be old enough to be either of those.

  8. Well, I did sell one (thanks @chris26) before buying this one, so it was a net zero gain. well, this one has a longer barrel and a larger caliber, so I suppose it was not a Net zero gain. I do have more “total lever gun mass” than I did before.

  9. Oh yeah I remember my momma sending me to the drugstore to buy this. I was probably 7or 8 years old. It was rubbed on baby gums when teething and for belly aches. It was made from opioids I think. And tasted awful.

  10. Oh heck yeah! It smelled of anise and a few drops in a tablespoon of water turned cloudy. My grandmother would "medicate" my cousins and myself if we were running around like wild heathens just so she could get some rest! It worked! LOL But it actually was a good med. Worked on teething infants (rub it on their gums). colic, and old fashioned bellyaches kids get. People will abuse anything though... <sigh>

  16. For sale is a gently used AimPoint PRO with the original box. Pictures should tell the story but this has spent the vast majority of it's life mounted to a Sig MPX sitting in my safe. $300 in the general Mt. Juliet area.

  18. If they blame guns and present a bad plan that takes guns away from innocent people and I blame crazy people, but don't don't know how to stop crazy people, that doesn't make them right. In fact, it makes them even more wrong.

  22. We think its a Colt Bisley SAA but not for sure. Its definitely some type of single action and Im just going off the postion of his fingers thinking the grip frame kicks forward bisley style. It wasnt among the few guns he passed down, and it may not have even been his gun, he may have been borrowing it just for the picture.

  27. This is SPM Rumor has it owning one of these pistols makes you an honorary member of Seal Team 6. They never asked me to join any missions, so I can't actually confirm the rumor. But you can at least feel like a special forces operator. Continuing my safe cleaning... For sale is a like new Sig Mk 25 with three magazines All the original Sig stuff is in the box. I shot this very little; it was primarily a safe queen $1000 in the general Mt. Juliet area to any legal TN gun owner.

  32. Their good grips, and for the price you can't go wrong. I personally like and use VZ Grips with their Super Scoop Thumb Cut. Here's a picture of a Les Baer UTC that I had at one time that I had completely redone in Charcoal Bluing and Blue Nitride accents, I put a set of VZ Carbon Fiber Grips on it you can see the larger thumb cut that allowed me to reach the mag release easier.
