Going ok. Wife and I are over Covid. I started cardiac PT (39 sessions, 2 down). Doctor changed one of my medicines and crashed my blood pressure and I had to skip one PT sessions. He says I will get use to it in a day or so and stay with it. Seems like most of this past week was doctor visits, tests an PT. Thought I would be further along but the doctors say I'm doing good. Got to move from the back seat (air bags bad for chest). Another week till I can drive. probably a month or more till back to pre surgery level. Thanks of asking.4 points

Might as well start one of these threads. Here's mine. I had a Holosun 508T-X2-GR green dot optic and a spare Streamlight TLR7A weapon light lying around, so onto the Echelon they went. INITIAL IMPRESSIONS... I have not yet had a chance to fire it but hope to be able to do so tomorrow. At this point, dry fire practice is all that I have with it. Even still, I am greatly impressed by the way the gun feels in the hand and really hope that Springfield releases a Glock 19 sized variant, since this one is identical in size to the Glock 17. The ergonomics are superb. The grip texture is essentially what all of you Hellcat owners have been enjoying since that model was released. The texture uses an interesting design where there are taller "granules" that provide the initial bit of traction, and then shorter granules beneath them that you add more traction as you apply greater grip pressure. This keeps the texture from being rough against the skin like some guns are [I'm looking at you here, Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0] but gives you more traction when you need it. I dig it. The trigger is excellent. Glock snobs will love it and also hate the fact that the factory Glock trigger doesn't feel as good. There is a moderate amount of pre-travel, a crisp wall, and a very short reset with strong tactile feedback. The Sig P320 doesn't have anything that feels like this. If the P320 trigger drives you crazy, this is your jam. If you like the P320 trigger, you might not care for this one. The front cocking serrations on the slide are executed better than any I've seen yet. I really like the "trench" design wherein the scallop of the serrations goes slightly deeper into the slide toward the ejection port. This will help prevent your hand from slipping off of them as you use the front serrations for a press check or to completely cycle the slide. Very well done. While running an optic makes the cocking "wings" on the trailing edge of the slide unnecessary, I really do like that they are there for aesthetics, and for functionality if you prefer to run iron sights sans an optic. They took what Heckler & Koch started with the funky ears on the VP9 slide and made it more practical and more durable. I bought this thing just to see what the hype was about and really had no intention of carrying it, but... damned if I might not just do that. If the gun shoots as good as it feels, and as good as everyone says it does, then this thing might end up going places. With me. Literally.3 points

The gun was made in 2019 according to the stamp on the slide. It has less than a thousand rounds through it. I replaced the stock grips with g10 grips. I replaced the stock sights with Dawson Precision fiber sights. Otherwise the gun is stock. It comes with 4 magazines. The two with the gun were stamped ,40 cal and I bought two additional mecgar mags. I also got a kydex iwb holster for it. I would consider trades for pistols in .40 S&W. I am firm on the price and will want to see a TN DL or CC permit before purchase. I can meet in the Knoxville area. PM me if you are interested or have questions.1 point

I have plenty of good flashlights. I don’t want a weapons light for EDC, but had the idea of slapping one on my 365 XL Spectre. macro when I go to bed at night. The weapons lights I have on other guns are not quick and easy to put on/take off. Is there one that will slide on and off without tools that I could put on at night and slip off in the morning? One of my bedside guns is a S&W Performance Center Shield that came from the factory with a Crimson Trace flashlight/green laser already installed. It’s nice, but loaded with 8 +1 rounds, it’s as heavy as my Spectre loaded with 17+1! This isn’t a big deal, nothing wrong with having more than one bedside gun, I actually have a Governor there as well, LOL.1 point

I don't remember why I chose 1.5 but seems like I talked with them about it. I wore dress pants and dockers for years and it worked great with any gun I put on it.1 point

Get my belts from Beltman. Great quality. I don't know if you can wear them out. The right belt makes all the difference carrying. https://www.thebeltman.net/pages/about-our-belts1 point

My son got me a Kore Essentials for Christmas, LOVE it. It's a dress belt style so perfect for a suit... After 8 months of carrying every day, it's still looks and feels new Good luck with your decision1 point

Raggin' on you my friend. You cannot possibly be near the shape my "gun room" is in. Boxes stacked in the way from a yard sale. can't even get to one safe to find something! And my mag storage area is blocked as well! Yes, I store extra mags in ammo cans on a shelf unit. Can't even get into them at the moment. I'm completey disorganized now!1 point

Not inferring anything on the comment. Just suprised. Maybe my trigger finger is just "uneducated" in the ways of feeling and describing the various triggers of firearms. I've just not had anything really stand out with me on the PPQ series. Have had 4, including the 45 model. It was the only one I didn't really like. Probably just me, but I felt, no pun intended, the recoil impluse on the 45 PPQ to be more than I liked. The trigger, as I remember it, didn't stand out as any different to me. But that's beenat least 4 years since I shot it. In fact, sold it to someone here. In any event, shoot it more, and if not satisfied with it...contact Walther. Unless you work on the trigger yourself. I'm not qualified, in any sense of the word, to do that myself. LOL. More of a buy, shoot, and clean sort of guy. I've really failed myself by not getting more involved with diagnostic and repairs of my firearms, and I regret it. But a little late now. Hands are getting a bit arthritic and my eyes ain't what they used to be! So any issues I have, I yell for qualified help. And there's no shortage of that here. Good luck getting this settled out.1 point

Yesterday I cooked down around 30 pounds, maybe more as I didn't weigh them, but 6 gallon bags of previously skinned tomatoes. I added sauteed bell peppers, onions, and squash to the mix and fresh herbs for the garden. It took around 6 1/2 to 7 hours to reach the desired consistency for marinara sauce or spaghetti sauce, about 1/2 of the original volume. I was able to pressure can 10 pints and put 3 pints into the freezer. I'll vac seal the frozen sauce later this morning. It was well worth the time and effort imho. Nothing beats homemade! I'll try and attach pics using my phone as my photos wanna load sideways using my computer... Greg. If I was anywhere close to Macon county I would have taken you up on your generous offer! Purple hull peas are delicious!1 point

Honestly I knew that I had them but I wasn't sure where they were. I found them yesterday while cleaning out a few things in my storage area. They're yours!1 point

Those do look great, I'd be interested in one of the basket weave so if you ever decide to sell some let me know. Keep up the great work .1 point

As the owner of a few Walthers...PPQ and PDP models...I say this. Wait and shoot them a while. I'm actually surprised to see a negative comment on the stock triggers. Especially on the PPQ models. Personally I find the triggers to be outstand on them. Right up there with the Canik and HK. If after more range time and at least 300-400 rounds, you still feel this way...Call Walther first.1 point

If you need 9mm brass, let me know, I can send you some on my dime. I do not need the .380, some one here will put it to good use I’m sure. Mike1 point

I have to agree with this. The triggers on the two PDPs that I had got a TON better within a hundred rounds and a lot of dry fire.1 point

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WREG) – Raccoons don’t normally have stripes, unless they happen to die on the streets of Memphis. A driver on his way to work Wednesday morning had to do a double-take after seeing a dead raccoon in the road that had been painted over by city road crew — with a solid white line bisecting its carcass. When asked how something like this may have happened, a spokesperson for the City of Memphis only said that the city planned to remove the deceased raccoon.1 point

Lots of good stuff in the appeals court decision. Looks like they gave them 60 days to remedy the situation. We'll have to see what kind of BS happens in that time. But a lot of good stuff was laid out in their ruling and comments that could be used if/when this ends up in front of the Supreme Court.1 point

It's helpful to remember that it was inside of an adult movie theater. I am going to guess that a person doesn't go into one of those unless they are comfortable seeing a wiener, on screen or otherwise. Not saying this makes him a saint but he wasn't exactly at a Saturday afternoon public screening of Free Willy. (see what I did there?) Dude had another run in with the law later that was definitely a little more worrisome. Apparently he was busted for possession of child pornography, although the charges were later dropped due to some mishandling of the case. Hollywood is a cesspool.1 point

I’ll throw in the Glock 20. I know the question said “…if I was like you and wanted to stick with 9mm…”, but I don’t want to stick to 9mm. I’m a little guy and I can still pack around a G20, large as it is, and there’s a heck of a lot of power in 15+1 of 10mm.1 point
