  3. The simple fact is those on our side don't have the motivation to match them at their own game. Say what you want, but they walk the walk and we just do a lot of talking. They have the media to help protect them, but at the end of the day, so long as we sit at home we get what we get. I am not saying I am going to go and protest either, just pointing out the facts. It just isn't as important for most as they like to make it out to be. On the other side and as I have said for a long time. I don't really care about what they do because I am going to live by my own rules regardless. If they eventually come with consequences so be it.

  4. Lots of good stuff in the appeals court decision. Looks like they gave them 60 days to remedy the situation. We'll have to see what kind of BS happens in that time. But a lot of good stuff was laid out in their ruling and comments that could be used if/when this ends up in front of the Supreme Court.

  6. Do any of you have a weapon light for their pistol? If so do you carry it IWB or only at home or in your vehicle? I have never had one on a pistol before.

  7. I'm been following this story the last few days and find it very interesting. "The US has been urged to disclose evidence of UFOs after a whistleblower former intelligence official said the government has possession of “intact and partially intact” alien vehicles. The former intelligence official David Grusch, who led analysis of unexplained anomalous phenomena (UAP) within a US Department of Defense agency, has alleged that the US has craft of non-human origin." Even Rep Tim Burchett agrees. https://twitter.com/HighPeaks77/status/1666772506206666753?t=trkxo9eL7d8c5iAqpk5Oqg&s=19 https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/jun/06/whistleblower-ufo-alien-tech-spacecraft

  20. I really, really like the one I purchased also. Don't plan to put a red dot sight on it, but plan to take the mounting plate off the one I purchased. The plate is too wide and I don't like that about the pistol. I hope the loss of weight will not cause problems with cycling. I have not had any failures with it as of now. Had it out 4 trips to the range, and put 4 boxes through it. WELL worth the money IMO. Edited; Spelling

  22. I had a bad day yesterday. I face planted on a rough piece of ground. I was helping put out a round bale of hay on my daughter's horse farm. As I went through the gate, afterwards, one of the horses (Tootsie) was getting past me. I quickly rose off the seat and went off my daughter's John Deer. I usually back off and use the hand holds to get down, however decided to jump down. Well, my knees gave way, and as I went to step off, I face planted on a rough rutted driveway. Paying a price for that today. I ach all over. I hit face down and drove my for-head into the dirt. It almost knocked me out. I have a sore neck, a large cherry across my forehead, and both cheeks, my right hand really hurts, I cut up my left arm and am bruised badly. To top it off, I have a Dr (Physical) visit on Thursday. My Dr always asked if I am falling. Well, can't get out of that one this time. They always ask "old people" that question I have discovered. I am laid up today and doing a little hunting (Outdoor Channel) from "Big Read" (my electric Lazy-Boy) whom I am in love with. My wife purchased it for me when I had bypass, because I couldn't raise up from a lying position for a few weeks. I guess you win some, and loose some. I could have jumped on that tractor 40 years ago. Thats long gone, guys. Hope you guys have a good day. Sorry and Sore IN Lascassas.

  31. I am some better this morning, although sore in different places. What gets me is, when sitting and thinking about what happened, I realize, like most old men, my abilities are really waning. That is hard guys, as many know. I will survive, with Gods help and time, and need to think before I act from now on. Thanks for all the comments and well wishes, guys. Takes time, at this stage in life, to recover from our mistakes, don't it!

  32. Rest up and get well. The thing that makes old men grouchy is sitting in your easy chair and thinking of the things that need doing. Your 20 year old mind says it won’t take long. But when you try to get up your 70 year old body says sit down fool where do you think you’re going. Gotta love it.

  35. Not sure about members, but they have some expensive legal bills to pay. Plus, there's the matter of Wayne's suits, cars, boats, homes, vacations, etc., not to mention the additional overhead from things like graft, corruption and embezzlement - it adds up pretty fast ...

  36. I have a CZ P-01 with a Baldr Olight with light, laser, or both at the same time. I'm very pleased with it as I usually run just the laser, but happy to have the light when I need it to confirm the target. I also carry a hand flashlight for general searches. I only carry OWB and it works great. Every handgun I buy now must have a rail for a laser/light.

  37. I know I said in an earlier post that there is a chance I would shoot someone trying to break into my car or truck but after reading more posts I can think about it and like a few have posted. I have everything worth stealing insured and then thinking most of these thieves are kids that are being used by an adult to commit the crimes. As long as they don't try and come in my house they can have anything outside as it can be replaced by insurance....JMHO

  38. That "food for thought" is legally and in my opinion even ethically the "right answer". To many, shooting some thieves sounds like an amazing vigilante type of justice until you realize that we no longer live in the "wild, wild west" and that by doing so you risk losing everything you've ever worked for in your life. Sure, the thief my be a meth head but his father may be Denny Crane. The thief may have stolen your weed-eater but his father will take your house, vehicles, and entire life savings after you murdered his son after conveniently posting online that you'd "shoot all thieves" that come on your property. It's hard to feed your family if you are in prison for murder. Thieves suck, but I don't own a single thing that is worth more than someone's life. I'm basing this on a standard of faith. All of us deserve death (the wages of sin). Say that multiple times out loud if you have to. Yes, even the thief can be redeemed by the Blood of Jesus Christ. The only time the guns come out are if my family (or other innocents) is/are in danger.

  39. It was happening in a neighborhood my oldest grandson lives in down in Burns Tn. My grandson is a 911 operator in Dickson County and when he saw them come into the entrance to the subdivision and drop off 4 hoodies he called it in and told them not to use sirens and lights but dispatch a couple cars. They sent 2 marked and 2 unmarked and they caught all 5 of them. 4 hoodies and the driver and he told me that the trunk was full of stolen merchandise including 3 Glocks not counting the 4 hand guns the hoodies were packing. The oldest was 16 and youngest was 12. That was just a month ago.

  40. As we hear more about those who legally carry firearms and use them in self-defense, almost all discussions of shootings from someone legally carrying a firearm lead to these facts. Many people carry guns legally. Fewer people have a license to carry permit. Damn few that carry guns have the slightest idea of what the law says about self-defense, have ever given a cursory examination as to what constitutes actionable self-defense, and, should they use their gun, what to say to police after the shooting, how to present themselves to police, and what's going to legally happen to them afterward. That's scary. Do yourself and your family a favor. Stay out of prison. Educate yourself before you go to court for a shooting you're involved in.
