I purchased some Fiocchi 22 LR HP Subsonic for my squirrel rifle and it changed my aim point. Wanted the ammo because it is quiter, out of respect for my neighbors. Was shooting regular Winchester 22 LR HP out of the Marlin Mdl 60 and it would shoot 1/2" moa consistently off sandbags. However, when I stocked her with the Subsonic, I could tell it was shooting a little low. Turned out it was about 1" low and 1 1/2" right also. Wondered why I was missing some squirrels. Got her back on now. I have had a squirrel problem for 2 years now and I cannot let them get overpopulated again. They cost me over 3,500.00 the year I started thinning them out. I don't eat them because TWRA said I couldn't. Only during Hunting Season and with a Hunting License. I got some fat critters around. Battled them suckers for a year and finally started winning. You got a problem, you take care of it, if one is forced too!2 points

I received an email from these folks a day or so ago, wanting money, as usual . I replied back, stating that as long as LaPierre and his cronies are running the show, there'll be no more money from me. The top has grown waaay too bloated. I'm done.2 points

I was thinking the same thing. Especially in Sneedville. There isn’t a flat spot in Sneedville that wasn’t made by a very heavy piece of equipment, so a good back drop should be easily found2 points

As an old EMT I can tell you that the hand of god was on her. Walking away from that is a miracle. So glad she wasn’t seriously injured. May be time for me to get a new IPhone.2 points

Wow @KahrMan. Very lucky. The good lord was riding shotgun watching over her. So glad she is OK and nothing major physically wrong with her. Technology is amazing.2 points

Life Members are still here. I think actual new, supportive membership has dwindled to the point that even the top executives saw that it was now a "sh*t or get off the pot" situation as far as continued viable life for the NRA.1 point

Thanks Leroy. I can look for coated .355 coated. Mr. Jackson posted one such site above.1 point

Reminder that transporting wildlife without a permit is also illegal. A big boy air rifle will kill them just fine and isn't a firearm. Or toss the trap in a big trash can full of water.1 point

The same as with politicians everywhere. All they care about is money and power. They don't give a about the people. The only real difference in Shelby county is that they're so arrogant that they don't try to hide it.1 point

Well...I mean...theoretically it would be possible for an entity to go sell a bunch of drugs to sell fund their black projects.1 point

I have a friend who used to be in the Republican Party in Shelby County, a divorce and health issues have resulted in him taking a lower profile in politics. However, he texted Gillespie yesterday over the same issue and received a disjointed tirade of invectives, being called a right-wing nut job and such. Suffice it to say that Gillespie will not be getting any more checks for campaign donations from that source. What is it with the caliber of politicians from Shelby County? At least Senators Rose and Taylor are smart enough not to publicly support the Red Flag agenda, even though they do, which is obvious from their stabbing SB 1503 to death in Judiciary committee last session.1 point

Also interested in the answer to the mag question. You are correct in that the previous gen was offered with 15 rounders and the current gen comes with 17. I've actually found that my current gen doesnt seem to love the spare 15 rounders I kept from my previous gen. Won't go to slide lock after the last round. If you're willing to part with some magazines and they are the 17 rounders, I may be willing to take some of them off your hands. Also regardless of mag round counts, this is a smoking deal someone should jump on. Fantastic gun and I'd be all over it myself if I didn't already have almost this exact gun.1 point

I'm taking the plunge just to see what the hype is about. I have an Echelon on the way and should have it before the weekend. I will post initial impressions as soon as I have it, and will report back on how well it runs at the range. For what it's worth, I am interested in seeing how well HS Produkt has married the best elements of the Glock and Sig P320. I'm not expecting this to be a "Glock Killer" or even a "P320 Killer". What I hope it ends up being is something that motivates both Glock and Sig to do better.1 point

Will do - yea CZ definitely needed someone in their aesthetics department when they created the 52, but they eventually got it right in my book.1 point

I think this just pushed me over the edge to buy one. I have been eyeballing them as a way to introduce my kids to handguns as they get older.1 point

I am a lifetime member but they will not see another dime from me until some major changes are made from the top down. There are too many other great organizations that need support.1 point

@Scottythe mags do tend to feel flimsy, but they're not under that much strain. You can easily hold the mag back with your thumb, unlike a lot of other mags that have a thumb stud on them (thinking Ruger MK pistols). Thanks for the link! I think I will pick up one of these for testing purposes. You're right @pop pop, these are full sized pistols, but I can conceal one with some of the holsters I have for other 9mm service sized pistols. I think they are about the same size as a Glock 19, but lighter. For carry by someone that can't really pull back the slide on a centerfire pistol, or handle the recoil, I would think the new compact model, might be ideal. @Jamie JacksonI'm jealous! I had intended to go to the range today and shoot my new Roscoe (S&W Mdl 10) after I mowed! But I am pooped. Push mowing a steeply sloped yard at 60, is not for the faint of heart!!! As for carry, I typically EDC a Ruger Max9 with a CT1550 RDS or a LCP Max. The Max is seeing a lot of carry during the summer! I am thinking seriously about starting to carry a fanny pack so I can get away with carrying the Max9 more often. Being an old man now, I don't really care how it looks. Who am I trying to impress!1 point

Moped, your correct on issues with the 22 for S D. A lot of people have been killed with the 22 Lr caliber and not many can deny that fact. The rub comes that they are not instant great stoppers. Most die from complications of being shot with a 22 later. I don't carry 22s for S D, but I would not hesitate if I needed to carry 22lr because of health reasons. The TX I have would be a little large for discrete Concealed Carry, however I supposed one who had a big need could manage that. I took my TX out again and am really liking this pistol. Nice trigger, accuracy, feels good in the hand, and really shootable. I would guess this one is going to get a lot of use, after it cools a little. After "maturity", I don't deal with heat quiet as well as I once did. Me and "Big Red" are quite comfortable with each other these days. I been doing quite a bit of hunting from B R, on the Outdoor and Sportsmans channel these hot afternoons. "Big Red" is my electric lifting Lazy Boy my wife purchased for me after bypass Surgery as I was unable to lift myself from a laying position shortly after they gutted me. She is small and would have been a large struggle for her to get me up. I slept in that chair for 30 days after surgery. My wife says she thinks I love "Big Red" more than her, sometimes.????????? Edited to add; I sleep really well with both.1 point

The law for carry was specifically designed to avoid those public enities from being able to create a matrix of confusing and contridictary laws. Since I have been teaching the carry courses since 2012, those areas we are discussing are completely legal for carry by permit. To be prohibited they would have to invoke all conditions noted under 39-17-1359 (g)(1). This was implemented to ward off a lawsuit regarding carry at the Knoxville fairgrounds during the fair. Sometimes I have found US Law Shield can be misleading.1 point
