  3. It's helpful to remember that it was inside of an adult movie theater. I am going to guess that a person doesn't go into one of those unless they are comfortable seeing a wiener, on screen or otherwise. Not saying this makes him a saint but he wasn't exactly at a Saturday afternoon public screening of Free Willy. (see what I did there?) Dude had another run in with the law later that was definitely a little more worrisome. Apparently he was busted for possession of child pornography, although the charges were later dropped due to some mishandling of the case. Hollywood is a cesspool.

  5. Like new in the box, never been fired or carried S&W Model 29-10 classic 4". Light turn ring on cylinder. Includes 3 sets of grips, factory target grips, Altamont Super Rosewood Checkered with medallions and Super Walnut Smooth and 2 holsters, 1 custom holster for Country Cobbler of Gatlinburg and 1 Desantis Speed Scabbard. Mainly looking to trade for a Model 629 Deluxe 3" or a 629 2 5/8 PC or a 329 PD. Will consider other revolvers in trade, I have a real love for big bores with 3.5" and shorter barrels. Located near Knoxville and can meet up almost anywhere east of Nashville gor the right deal.

  6. Still in the process of selling off guns I am never going to use or hunt with. This Winchester 94AE lever gun is gorgeous. It was a 1997 banquet gun for Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. I am pretty sure I have the box as well. $1800

  9. I believe the slide issues were from early 2020 models and rectified. Fired off about 9 mags of federal automatch yesterday (through the stock slide not competition) and had a few failures to feed where they went in practically sideways/vertical. Not a common ammo I run but seemed to not like it, although I did put the stock slide away fairly wet. CCI never an issue, just got a bunch of federal for dirt cheap and trying to Burn through it to make some room. Will stick to that in the 10/22 or bolt action. *Did just read that it seems that my failure may have been due to pulling the mag tab down to load. Apparently it likes it if you load them like a regular mag. I was heading out the door and just got the itch so fired off 9 mags in 5 mins. They are a little finicky to load* https://dahlonegaarmory.com/product/tx22-competition-22lr-bk-5.4 - cheapest comp I’ve ever seen. $20 shipping. Another reminder that Taurus does 20% off 3-4x a year around holidays. Could get the regular slide/6 mags for 20% off. If you sign up for email reminders they typically don’t spam and only send maybe 2 a week and not obnoxious (looking at you PSA and opticplanet).

  11. Thank you. I'm pleasantly surprised with my TX Compact. Federal Automatch is what I have the most of in my stores, CCI Mini Mags have always been a favorite of mine. Thankfully my TX isn't being too picky. I have 4 of the 16 round mags and 2 of the 13 rd mags and all function very well. The 16 round are actually less expensive. Go figure. I haven't noticed any excessive wear, but will certainly keep an eye on things. Rhett Neumayer with Demonstrated Concepts (has a Youtube vid or several) has put a bunch of rounds through one without issues. He's an incredible shooter imho. If anyone will wear one out he will.

  12. Hollywood is a cesspool, no denying that. Aside from the poor judgement, I never held that first charge against him. It seemed like a lot of rock throwing from folks in glass houses to me. It was that 2nd charge that is unforgivable.

  13. I'm taking the plunge just to see what the hype is about. I have an Echelon on the way and should have it before the weekend. I will post initial impressions as soon as I have it, and will report back on how well it runs at the range. For what it's worth, I am interested in seeing how well HS Produkt has married the best elements of the Glock and Sig P320. I'm not expecting this to be a "Glock Killer" or even a "P320 Killer". What I hope it ends up being is something that motivates both Glock and Sig to do better.

  14. Just thought I'd mention I finally I shot over 2200 rounds as of yesterday. Work and life interfered with my shooting... I had my 2nd Fail to Feed, but it was a somewhat bent 10+ year old Golden Bullet and I just wanted to see if it would feed. Nope I don't know if mine is an anomaly or if this is the normal for the TX series. But I'm quite pleased with this little .22 especially in combination with the Holosun. Great pairing.

  16. I put up a couple of shelves and a wall hanging display for some of my knives that I have. On the top shelf is two wodden magnetic knife blocks that hold some of my straight blades that GrandTrino made me and the other one has some I had made from another knife maker on another forum I belong to, I've got a few more knives to put up, and change some things around some more. I still have to put up some more shelves for all my Turkey Calls I have in my collection.

  17. Have any of you guys heard or seen the Glock 25 anywhere yet ? I had the 28 and it ran very well. The recoil was pretty soft and very noticeably soft compared to 9mm. The 25 is the size of the 19 so I can imagine the size would make the recoil even better. I know the .380acp is on the weaker side , but hey , it's pretty neat being able to get it and the 28 now since we couldn't in the past.

  19. I've used the Berry's before with no problem in a .380 Shield. I have been using Hoosier's Hi-Tek coated bullets in 9mm and .38/.357 a lot for the past couple of years. Hoosier's has some 95 gr. .380 bullets at .355" listed currently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their bullets. Quality made, fast shipping, and just good folks. https://hoosierbullets.com/380-caliber-95-grain-round-nose/

  20. A hollow base bullet if the same weight should give slightly lower pressures than a comparable flat base bullet of similar construction and shape, as the t would yield a slightly larger combustion chamber. However, in order to make weight, the hollow base bullet should be slightly longer, so it would have a larger bearing surface in the bore, so I expect these two factors would pretty much cancel each other out, however minuscule they were to begin with. That’s a fancy way of saying use the data you have and enjoy!

  21. Sorry, didn't read the heading fully. My previous post is out of place(not 357 thread). I do carry a Ruger Max 9 sometimes and it hits hard with the Winchester Ranger 147 gr + P ammo I just purchased for it. That pistol will qualify for a Pocket Rocket, IMO. By the way I intend to shoot some water jugs when it cools down and I have time. Monday would have been a good day, but we were off RVing at Cumberland Mountain State Park for the past weekend. We found it cooler up there on the plateau in Crossville TN.

  24. Love my TX series I am pleased you have got so my rounds thru it with so little problems I look forward to shooting more rounds with mine As far as ammo mine likes Blazer or CCI I use federal or Remington I start having more issues. I would like to try the extended mags also Any problem with your steel guide rod digging into your aluminum frame I saw a video of guide rod putting a hole in the slide he didn’t say how many rounds were fired to achieve that I have not had any problems so far

  31. I found this when cleaning out a closet. My wife and kids gave it to me Christmas one year. Apparently I had to get back to work on the road. I don’t remember when I got it. But check out that price tag. Not to mention it came from K-mart.

  34. That's a poor excuse by people who don't want to take the blame. UPS employees are in the same union and they made $13 BILLION in profit last year. Yellow was poorly managed. The longer I work for a corporation the more I come to appreciate unions. Drivers are horribly underpaid when you consider what they have to deal with and unions are about their only chance of getting decent pay and benefits.

  37. Just got this email from Taurus. 2x mags and 5x tandemkross mag extensions. $44. They occasionally have a sale on 6 mags and a pouch or something for $99. https://shoptaurus.com/shop-by-model/pistols/taurustx-22/tandemkross-wingman-5-ext-tx22-magazines-2pk-promo I didn’t have time to try out the +5 on mine. Took advantage of having some free labor to hang more targets and sight in a couple rifles/add accessories. If I have time to shoot in the next couple weeks I’ll try to remember to leave a review on if they worked as well as the stock mags.

  38. Surgery went well according to surgeon. They let me come home Sunday afternoon. I'm not in a lot of pain accept when I do things I shouldn't but have no energy. Lot of doctor appointments and cardiac PT starting Friday, hope they have answers for how long it takes to get back to normal. Sounds like at least 6-8 weeks.
