  1. Inherited my Dad’s 64 1/2 a couple of years ago. I’d give it back to him in a heartbeat. My wife and I put a couple of hundred miles on it pretty much every weekend when it’s nice out.

  2. This is an unfired Auto Ordnance 1911A1 case hardened (1911GCH). I put black alligator skin grips on it, it comes with the original wood grips as well and has 1 magazine. I thought I wanted a BBQ gun but have changed my mind as I keep going back to my Ithica M1911 or one of 6” 1911s as my carry pistol. Looking for $1100. Keeping the gator grips, pistols will be sold with factory wood grips. Looking to keep it close to Clarksville as my 3 jobs keep me occupied 6 days a week. May be interested in trades, I mostly like 1911s and revolvers in 357 but will entertain others. Cash can go either way for the right deal. I’m not interested in polymer pistols or AR/AK platforms.

  3. My only topless vehicle (though often has a Bikini on). My wife hates riding in it. Something about the stiff leaf-sprung suspension, no AC, and the smell of a slightly rich, carbureted engine she doesn’t like. (All things I love about an FJ40)

  14. Time to move it along. This pistol is in outsanding condition. Bluing is bright and shiny. Barrel rifling is beautiful. Very tight overall fit. One very faint hairline scratch on left side of frame near front of trigger guard, barely visible to the naked eye, but it is there. Photo below is extremely zoomed in to show it. I have fired exactly 30 rounds through it. Unsure of previous count, but obviously extremely low. Basically, an incredibly clean example of a 30 year old Hi Power. 1994 Browning Hi Power .40 S&W Steel Frame Ring Hammer Single Side Safety Novak Night Sights Still Glow Fairly Well (Dated 2005) 2 Stainless Mecgar 10 Round Mags VZ G10 Grips No Box or Papers There are 5 more Mecgar 10round mags available to buyer at additional cost. 18. Yummy! I won't say it's certain, but there's very good chance I had some possum stew when I was a voung brat. Grew up with grandparents who were a little step above the Clampets. Not very much though. It's really amazing to think onthese things and realize we are but one, maybe 2, generations away from farming/hunting to survive society. Be very thankful for it!

  21. Selling a CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S1 pistol. Purchased new in 2021 and fired 5 rounds through to baptize it and try it out due to ammo shortage and cost. I have since moved into USPSA and just don't see a niche for keeping it. I have made the following upgrades. Pakse Sapper MLOK Handguard. Pakse Pathfinder vertical pistol grip. Pakse safety delete. Reduced trigger spring kit. Pakse enlarged ProStock magazine paddle magazine release, HB Industries Folding Pistol Brace, as well as 2 stock 20 rd magazines, and 2 - clear 30 rd magazines. . Basically all the upgrades suggested on Garand Thumbs website. Selling for $1100 cash. Thanks for looking.

  22. Have you been to Hot Springs, NC before? Tiny scenic town with some restaurants along the French Broad river. It's a stop for hikers on the Appalachian Trail. It may be out of your way but if not it's worth stopping at for lunch.

  23. Erwin is a quiet small town good fishing and White water rafting is fun I would do Boone NC or Blowing rock NC. If I were that close much better food options

  24. Cerakote holds okay on polymer frames. I don’t think I will ever mess with another one though. It was kind of costly to just have it look worn after a year. Something I wish I would have tried is taking it back to black using Rit Dye when it showed heavy wear.

  25. So the gun is too small for your hands, but they suggest going to a smaller gun? That don't make sense. I think we need a lot more info about the problem before offering any advice.

  26. Found this in a safe clean out. I sold the gun way back so it’s of no use to me. I hope someone else can use it! There’re $20+ online. I’ll let this one go for $10 cash. Can meet in Columbia, Pulaski, and Spring Hill areas depending on the day.

  30. Got an email today from AIM Surplus. They have some different types/brands of 9mm listed for $11.95 - I do remember seeing a couple of types of Remington ammo listed, may be others. Didn't really pay much attention, as I'm not in the market for any right now ...

  37. Rest up and get well. The thing that makes old men grouchy is sitting in your easy chair and thinking of the things that need doing. Your 20 year old mind says it won’t take long. But when you try to get up your 70 year old body says sit down fool where do you think you’re going. Gotta love it.

  39. But you know the narrative that will be floated…black guy gets attacked by police k9 for having a missing mud flap, NOT the fact that he ran from police both in his vehicle and on foot. Not saying he deserved to get bit after surrendering, but am say that none of it would have happened had he not ran.
