Springfield Armory 1903 I’m not selling this as a collectable just a shooter. The serial # put the date of Manufacture in 1934. At some point a previous owner installed a scope mount. Looks like someone also pinned the stock back together with a brass pin or screw. The stock has some cracks on top in the wood at the end of the receiver, it worked they haven’t gotten bigger. The rifle will keyhole at 100 yards, i would like to get 400.00, OBO might consider a trade. I have it listed on a couple of different sites. I have put close to 300 rounds through it over the years. i have owned it for 20 yrs, i bought it from a family friend near Harlan KY. Want more pictures let me know. Ladder sight is on it and works.3 points

I think this would be a pretty good gun for a young person's introduction. I wear a medium size or 7 1/2 size surgical glove, so I have smallish hands and the grip girth and trigger reach is fine. Should be for the kids.3 points

I've been looking for a Stoeger for a while. I just saw the other day that Academy Sports has the Stoeger Coach Gun for $449. I checked and Academy in Knoxville did not have one in stock, but I am thinking I may order one and have it sent to my local store.3 points

I picked up my TX 22 Compact on July 7th, ordered through Range USA, Took it inside the indoor range, removed the slide and inspected it, put a bit of Lucas Lube on the rails. I shot 150 rounds of various .22 ammo through it. CCI Minimags, Federal bulk, Remington bulk, Federal Spitfire and CCI Stingers. 100% feed and ignition. Great ergonomics and a surprisingly nice trigger. I was impressed. My old eyes were challenged with the factory sights, so I ordered a Holosun 407K for it and two 16 round magazines. A couple of additional range trips after putting some orange paint on the front sight with a total of 1000 rounds through it. I had one FTF out of a box of 50 Federal Punch. But Caleb Giddings, marketing manager from Taurus, warned this round may have difficulty related to the rather flat bullet profile. I did have 4 Failure to Fire rounds out of the same box 325 rounds of 2008 Federal Automatch at this point. I mounted the 407 on 13 July. Really easy mounting, effortless. It only took 12 rounds to have it zeroed at 15 yards. I like the 6 MOA dot and the window size is decent. No co-wittiness with the factory sights of course. Oh, I also purchased 2 of the 16 round mags and they run great. As I type this I have a total of 1200+ rounds through it. So 5 Fail to Fire and 1 FTF. To me, that's pretty darn impressive for a .22 RF semiauto. An extra bonus is that it fits the Dale Fricke Archangel holster I use for AIWB carry for my G19. Thanks for the insight and input on this thread. And the TX series is made to be dry fired by Taurus,3 points

You know David, if someone had asked me 5 years ago whether or not I would recommend a Taurus product I would have said "No". A year ago "Maybe" (I still want to handle a 856 Toro in person). Now? "Probably". I'm actually surprised and obviously very pleased with this Tx22 Compact. Especially at it's current price-point. Give me another week and I hope to have between 2000-2500 rounds through it. All I'm doing at this point is a quick bore brush with CLP through it after a range session and keeping the slide lubed. I honestly didn't expect to like it so much. Or that it'd run so well and be so accurate. Hat's off to Caleb Giddings and the folks at Taurus at this point.2 points

I think this just pushed me over the edge to buy one. I have been eyeballing them as a way to introduce my kids to handguns as they get older.2 points

I guarantee they know exactly who it belongs to. I would bet a lot of people in Washington politics use cocaine and other drugs.2 points

I dont have what you are looking for but I have the TP9SF and TP9DA . Those pistols are top notch and "Glock 17" reliable. Their triggers will make some high end guns look bad.1 point

I have the dark side- really like it. Good heft which really aids double taps. So far super reliable. Will probably make my game M&Ps spend more time in the safe1 point

My wife wanted to visit a few stitching shops so we went out. I stopped at a well known shop that usually has pretty decent prices . They had the Echelon and had it priced at $689. That is just tooooooo much for a plastic striker in my opinion. It's handles well and trigger feels good and reset is good but it's not a $689 gun. That is darn near H&K prices.1 point

I have an email in with Sig, but I will not get an answer until Monday...maybe. Just figured I'd be a chance someone with one could take a second to look at theirs.1 point

I spoke with the TN State lobbyist Kelby Senor yesterday afternoon. NRA has had no communication with Haile about legislation and is not sponsoring or writing any for or with him. Kelby said the usual "NRA" would be willing to look at legislation proposed to see if it meets Constitutional muster, but at this time none has been proffered. He did say he had met with Haile in North Carolina at the Leadership Institute last week, and that Haile had suggested that he had options to some mental health proposals, but offered no plan, no specifics. Haile is casting about to try and gain some conservative bona fides as he has a challenger in the upcoming primary that appears well funded and of a conservative nature. The challenger is tied to the Sumner County Conservative Republicans, who have taken over the County Commission there, rooting out our old friend Debra Maggart's supported moderates from the majority. In all my years of working with the General Assembly, Haile has never championed a 2nd Amendment issue or even cosponsored one to my knowledge. He is a McNally sycophant of the First Order.1 point

Secret Service was just following protocol. Mysterious white powder could have been Anthrax or similar. WH was evacuated as a precaution, people noticed, it made the news. MSM seemed to lose interest pretty fast anyway. Only the Republicans wanted an answer. SS had to say something. Personally, I'd like to see everybody in the WH drug tested. Including Joe.1 point

For those who may have missed it: the Secret Service has dropped their investigation into the found cocaine. They say there's not enough evidence to develop a suspect. Yeah, right. Has anybody considered giving Hunter a drug test?1 point

So are we to believe it when .gov officials tell us yes or when they told us no? The Earth is less than a speck of dust in the universe. Ain’t no telling what all is out there.1 point

Very true. We need the government to come out admit they have been lying to us for decades but I won't hold my breath. These whistleblowers are risking a lot by coming forward and I hope it leads to something positive.1 point

When applied correctly it will hold up just fine for average use. Heavy use/in and out of a holster continuously will start showing wear on the trigger guard (assuming that is the point of retention). Companies like Lipsey’s will use Cerakote on some of their special edition pistols. They seem to hold up well with average use, but again with heavy use I’d leave it alone or see if the company offers a color close that the polymer is made from that colors pellets. Good luck in your search.1 point

Not sure about members, but they have some expensive legal bills to pay. Plus, there's the matter of Wayne's suits, cars, boats, homes, vacations, etc., not to mention the additional overhead from things like graft, corruption and embezzlement - it adds up pretty fast ...1 point

Definitely a "Team Fanny Pack" guy here. They were quite normal back in the 1990's, and tend to come and go in use. I still have an older Desantis in my holster box in the basement/reloading area. I frequently wore one while in scrubs going to and from work even less than 10 years ago. It's amazing how much gear they can hold and how little attention the general public pays them. And pushing 70 no one pays much attention to my attire anyway. Might have to dig mine out. +1 to fanny packs!1 point

I think of Glock a lot like AC/DC. They have their lane and stay in it by putting out the same thing every couple of years with only the slightest variations. Is there really any innovation? Not for decades, but when you grab their latest release, you know exactly what you’re gonna get.0 points

Be Aware: An organization based out of Ohio has initiated a fear-based money grabbing campaign in the state of Tennessee, using the attached mailing, under the auspices of resisting Governor Bill Lee's Red Flag laws and is misleading the public by using the Tennessee Gun Owners name as their own. THEY ARE NOT US. We take offense at this and are investigating our legal options for shutting that entity down. In the meantime, please understand that TGO is not a lobbying organization and has never advertised itself as such. Any email or letter that you receive from someone purporting to be "Tennessee Gun Owners" and asking you to financially support their activism efforts is not us. They do not represent us, and we absolutely do not endorse them. John Harris, executive director at the Tennessee Firearms Association summarized the activities of these carpetbaggers best: If you are interested in supporting a legitimate ally of the Second Amendment with effective Pro-2A activism in Tennessee, we heartily endorse and recommend the Tennessee Firearms Association. You can establish or renew membership with them at the following link. Join or Renew in TFA - Tennessee Firearms Association Sample of the misleading letter being sent by these imposters:0 points
