Personally I'd be pissed if my agent told me that. Im assuming of course you're driving record is clean and you don't routinely file claims. Now, as to the damage, assuming its paid for and you're willing to get it repaired on the cheap I'd have my buddy write up a estimate using all OEM materials and submit it to Mr uninsured motorist. If he wants to make it right I'd tell him I'd want that in cash. Then I'd pay my buddy to fix it on the cheap and use the left over funds to find me another insurance company. Of course, I'm also an ass like that lmao.3 points

From the little I have seen it is quite different. Sear is different and take down is quite different. No if they get sued or not, well that is what keeps attorneys fat and sassy.2 points

So are we to believe it when .gov officials tell us yes or when they told us no? Good point. I think we treat everything with skepticism. I don't expect them to admit they have been lying to us anytime soon. It's just hard for me to believe that all these people that have come forward are either lying or crazy. They are sacrificing their careers, finances and privacy in doing so. That's just my take on it. Interesting times.2 points

My agent essentially explained that if the cost of the repair is close to the deductible, I'd possibly be better off if I didn't file a claim. He admitted that the higher the cost of repair was the more reasonable a claim would be. I can see this, but again I don't know if it is insurance assets or mine that he is concerned about.1 point

I'd go get an estimate, then contact the at-fault individual and see if he'll come up with the money. But I find it doubtful that anyone who drives without insurance will be good for the couple of grand that repair will surely cost. I'd give the guy a fixed, short time to come up with the money, and if he does then I'd just deal with it outside the insurance company. If not, I'd go to my insurance company to get it fixed and sue the at-fault guy for the out-of-pocket costs, and maybe for the whole amount. My insurance company, Progressive, has some accident "forgiveness" depending upon how long you've been a customer. Does yours? It sucks, but insurance companies seem to care about CLAIMS, regardless of fault. You're better off avoiding a claim if you can, but are you willing to be out the cost of the repair if the at-fault fellow fails to come through? Driving without insurance should result in immediate loss of license and confiscation of the car's plates, in my opinion. Now you're stuck dealing with another man's mess. Sorry about that! And good luck!1 point

I saw that the other day. Many of my out of state friends think Tennessee is way more gun friendly, law wise, than it actually is. I don’t want to get too far into politics on here lest I get in trouble, but I did notice that the TNGOP invited Desantis to be their guest speaker at their Statesman Dinner event, while TFL’s annual fundraiser event snagged Trump.1 point

The P320 has pretty much answered this question for all of us. Chassis systems allow one serialized part. If you live where gun registries and ownership quotas are enforced, you can own one "gun" with sundry different slides and grip modules. If you like experimenting with your ####, chassis systems are the "Build a Bear" of the gun world. Buy multiple slides, grip modules, etc. for different configurations for a lot less money than buying multiple guns. Dog chewed up your grip? Had the bright idea to bubba-up your grip with a soldering iron and a hot idea for a homebrew stipple job? Paid someone to do that because you're an even bigger moron? Pay $60 for a new grip module and call it a day. Whamo Toys just released a new bullpup design "pistol" and all you need to make it run is your serialized fire control unit? Hot damn! Hope you have one! Bummer if you own a Glock. Want to run a 17-rd full size gun for fun at the range or multi-day training classes, but want to carry a 15-rd version of the gun for EDC purposes? Sure is nice to just be able to swap the grip module and magazines. Like to color coordinate your gun with your underwear? Well, if you're a woman that's probably socially acceptable and you can do it for cheap with interchangeable grip modules. If you're a dude and you like Glocks, you're going to need to buy another G42 and have it Cerekoted Tiffany Blue, you weirdo. I could go on, but seriously it's not hard to see why this is an idea whose time has come.1 point

The only thing I worry about with a "chassis" system is will it stay in place over a long time with a lot of ammo through it ? Since it contains the ejector but the slide has the firing pin and extractor , and the frame has the magazine release button/catch I just wonder if the chassis thing will ever work it's way loose over time and cause those parts not to line up correctly. But I'm a worrier , LOL . Time will tell with lots of people using it. I'd be willing to try it if it would come out in .45acp. I'm pretty squared away with 9mm and I'm sure lots of others are too. But I can't complain , we are living in good times with all these choices available to us. I was just getting into guns 1 year before the "Clinton Ban" came out. Those were crappy 10 years from 1994-2004. Magazines blocked down to 10rds and AR's and Ak's banned from being sold. So enjoy all these nice and many choices while we can.1 point

I think of Glock a lot like AC/DC. They have their lane and stay in it by putting out the same thing every couple of years with only the slightest variations. Is there really any innovation? Not for decades, but when you grab their latest release, you know exactly what you’re gonna get.1 point

I'm pretty intrigued by it. They did a lot of things right with the design. Now I need to see if their execution of the design is as good as the design itself. If they pulled it off, this could be a legitimate evolutionary step for the modern striker fired handgun.1 point

KG Gun Kote is nice but it's still just a surface coating. Salt-bath nitriding (Meloniting) is significantly different in that it is affects the molecular composition of the surface layer of the steel by diffusing nitrogen and carbon into it, hardening the surface of the metal and protecting it against wear and corrosion. Understanding MELONIZING & The Salt Bath Nitriding Process (northeastcoating.com) I stand by my belief that coatings are just that: Coatings. If you want to protect the gun from corrosion, a nitrocarburized finish is superior.1 point

I agree that Lee has been a problem from the get-go and I'm not feeling that warm and fuzzy about Tennessee on most things anymore. I can't believe I currently think that about a state I have loved for more than 30 years and call home. I loved it here so much up until recently. I have been thinking a lot about spending a lot of the year back up on the farm in western North Dakota. It may have its issues but the cold sure keeps a lot of the riff-raff out and everyone is pretty handy. Another note: 20 state's Atorneys General have joined in the fight Assault Weapons & Magazine Bans by filing against Delware. Guess who is missing. If you’re ever bored & find yourself with the time- just for fun, do a deep dive search online for the thousands of FOIA declassified PHOTOS that quietly got released over the last few years. Right there, hiding in plain sight is… a lot. Including the original non-cropped and unedited Roswell crash site. That distinctive fuselage is NOT a weather balloon. The more you examine various photos- quite good in their quality, the more you may ponder the possibility that this rabbit hole runs pretty deep. Now go live long & prosper-1 point

There are many signs around the earth of early visitors being on Earth that prove people not of this world have been here. Stone Hedge for example. Scientists say it has been around for thousands of years, long before anything made by humans could have placed those stones like they are. There are carvings in caves showing what man made that had encounters thousands of years ago with Aliens. Do I believe in Visitors from another galaxy coming to earth? Yea I do. Do I believe they still come here from time to time? Yea I do. Do I think they mean us any harm. No I don't. I think they are like us and just curious about us like we are them. There have been to many sightings by pilots both civilian and military that have encountered aircraft in flight and have made attempts to get close to them but can't match their speeds to pursue them but just a minute or less. If they intended to do us harm I'm sure it would have happened long before now.....JMHO1 point

I've often wondered if when God made earth if he made have made another one, five, or ten. Then see differences in morals, advancements, and any other things over time. Maybe there are other worlds out there and maybe some are smarter than us and have advanced more and quicker than us. If so I think they know more about us than we do them.1 point
