I went and looked, I'm back already. Nothing special. Just another striker fired piece of plastic. But They DID NOT have the promised freebies! No free hats, no free ammo and no free targets. Don't waste your time.2 points

Gun and holster by themselves: $260 For $420: Gun, holster, the 40SW ammo (600 rds) I have posted, and the Apex kit (Duty/Carry kit) I have posted. Smith and Wesson M&P in 40SW. Mid 2009 manufacture. No thumb safety (factory) and no magazine disconnect safety (factory). Full size, 1.0. Great cosmetically and functionally. Night sights are decent. "Security group" trade-in. No way to verify, but looks like gun has not been fired much. I've only put <300 rounds through it. Original case, all backstraps, two 15rd OEM magazines. This holster included: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M7XE37J/ In or near Thompson's Station (suburb south of Nashville). Will need to see HCP and sign bill of sale.1 point

Tom Grieve does a nice piece explaining Commissar Lee's proposal. Stuff we all know but explained well. I may have to send to a few of my slower thinking associates. I sure miss when Tennessee didn't get any real attention. Bad ideas flood in when bad people do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaI-5jdWgVU1 point

Don't live there but traveled there. Camped in the Roan Mtn State Park campground. Beautiful place. Hiked a short distance on the Appellation Trail. Explored the 3 Balds there. Totally amazing, the history, and phenomenal topography. East TN is my favorite area in TN to visit.1 point

I'm not aware of anyone in Tennessee that does enough of these at a high enough level of quality that I would trust my gun to them. Why not ask Wilson Combat if they have any recommendations for an alternate? They surely are aware of companies that can do this up to their level of standards (or better). Also, don't skimp on having the slide re-coated once it is milled. Shops that just use cold bluing or spritz some Cerakote on the cut are just doing the bare minimum and the cut will eventually corrode. Personally, I won't use a shop that doesn't send the slide out for a Melonite / salt-bath nitride finish. Like you said, this is an expensive gun. Don't ruin it by being impatient.1 point

1000 rds 5.56 PPU SS109 - steel tipped, $389, free ship, $427 w/tax to TN. Can also order 200 round for .40 CPR, free ship is at $200. https://www.sgammo.com/product/223-556mm-ammo/1000-round-case-556mm-62-grain-fmj-steel-core-ss109-brass-case-prvi-partizan- Cheapest I’ve seen PPU in ages. Can also add a single box of 50 9mm Winchester white for $7 as they do that to boost their ammoseek results to the top. Limit of one. It’s getting very hard to find XTAC shipped for this price, once every few months. Some internet scuttle about Serbia contemplating banning all firearms/munitions for upcoming war. Days of sun .40cpr are behind us it seems w/ current wars. Hope this helps.1 point

Great comments, Sir. Good assessment of the situation and possible future events. This tortured soul had problems. Of that there is little doubt. I question whether any one ideaology will explain this tragedy. All we can do is hope to learn from it and strive to protect our children and ourselves.1 point

With respect, you don't know what you're talking about. That elderly woman was severely injured, spent 8 days in the hospital, needed skin grafts, and never once asked for a dime more than she was owed for medicals and lost income for her daughter providing care. McD's offered $800. It was discovered McD's was intentionally keeping the coffee dangerously hot (180-190F) because their studies showed most customers drank it after they got to their office/wherever and they wanted it to still be hot then. The woman initially only wanted $20K to cover her hospital bills. She and her lawyer tried multiple times to get them to settle at reasonable amounts. They refused. The jury awarded her $160K in compensatory damages for her medicals, loss of quality of life, and her daughter's income who had been providing care. The jury then stacked $2.7M on as punitive damages. Her daughter said much of the money went to pay for medical bills and a full time live-in nurse until her death 10 years later and that she had very poor quality of life from both the injuries and the toll of the trial. I wouldn't recommend that as a get rich tactic.1 point
