Beretta 84F Stainless .380 13+1 Decocker/safety $800 This is a really sweet little shooter. It's in outstanding shape however, one of the Beretta medallions on one of the grips has been lost. Otherwise, it's flawless. These models sell on GunBroker for $900-$1400. I have a Galco OWB holster and 1 10-round & 1 13-round magazine to go with it. No box. If y'all have any questions just say the word. Thanks much.5 points

@Snavebaonce again I greatly appreciate your willingness to share information that you know with us. This is information I don’t think many of us have seen adequately explained, or even disseminated very much at all by the authorities. I believe a greater effort to be more forthcoming with these details would go along way towards quieting down some of the conspiracy theories that abound. Wouldn’t cure at all, we all know it wouldn’t. I do believe it would help though. The lack of openness and transparency about why certain information is not being publicly disseminated, combined with the legislative efforts from Governor Lee with regard to the special session, and the red flag law only compound the ideas and suspicions that nefarious action is afoot. so once again, I know it has to be difficult for you to engage with some of the speculation that goes on around the subject here, so you have my gratitude for your willingness to share what you know with the rest of us.5 points

It’s correct Hale chose the school due to a perceived lack of security and the isolated nature of being on the hill. She had considered two other schools as well as a public location but determined she would have more success at TCS. This is written in her notes which I will address in a sec. While there was not an SRO at the school, measures were already being put in place to have trained and armed staff on site along with the active shooter training they had recently completed. There was not a “Manifesto” as one might think. That was a poor choice of words for the police chief to use. There were 17 notebooks filled with research of every school shooting, logistics of the TCS building, camera locations, employee info, etc. Hale had been monitoring the building for two yrs and compiling info. She was hyper focused on this aspect thus the large amount of data on covenant and on how to successfully conduct a school shooting with maximum deaths. According to police, this was the most planned school attack in US history and they're still processing info. It’s an active investigation that they expect will take another year to complete. It’s true the police don’t want this research and info out there since it will most definitely aid future shootings. As far as the school, church & parents not wanting the “manifesto” released, there are unwell people out there wishing harm towards the school as evidenced by continued letters and calls to the school. It’s unfathomable but the rumors people have created, pushed, and subsequent anger has made an unsafe environment for everyone there. My wife has fielded calls and received letters several times. People have traveled to Nashville to stalk the school. Releasing the notebooks would be equivalent to police releasing schematics and security details of your personal home knowing someone activity wants to hurt your family. Protection of staff and children who are still experiencing trauma from seeing their classmates killed is paramount.4 points

There is a lot being hidden about this incident. Why are so many people spending a LOT of money to keep information hidden? Initial reports from Metro PD were that the shooter choose the school due to lack of security.4 points

The only armed presence at Covenant was when the Police showed up. Lots of things about that incident don't add up and rumors abound. What ever happened to the supposed manifesto? Another is that Gov. Lee's wife was friend of one of the victims and that's why he's pushing for a Red Flag law. Any truth to that? It seems that after the initial flurry after the shooting, there seems to be an effort to make it all disappear. Why?3 points

Howdy y'all, S&W 28-3 Highway Patrolman. It was carried regularly years back, has been shot a bunch & is definitely shooter grade. Turn line, some holster wear along the barrel & frame but the lock up is spot on & it shoots and shoots and shoots. If anyone's looking for a N frame 357 to take out and shoot all day long, here you go. No box but I do have an extra set of Altamont grips for it & speed loader or two. $7002 points

Nah. If Joe was shotgunning nose beers, he wouldn’t be mumbling and stumbling like the town drunk even though he doesn’t drink. The booger sugar is quite famous for putting quite a bit of pep in your step.2 points

I'll wager it wasn't Hunter's. If it were, it would already be up his nose.2 points

I’m all for team Fanny pack! Am not old. Will 100% give away that you’re carrying to others that carry, but who cares. I’m a smoker, carrying my wallet in the front pocket due to back issues, and between sunglasses, pocket knife or nail clippers and a flash light the Fanny pack just makes sense. Let’s do it! Team Fanny pack.2 points

Had a S&W Victory which I liked very much. Don't really shoot .22 handgun that much so when I got my TX22 Comp away went the Victory. Had a Vortex red dot on hand and it installed and works very nice. Although I prefer the Holosun red dots if I'm buying one. Shoots just great. It is MUCH lighter than the Victory which can be either good or bad depending on the shooter. Trigger is no where as nice as the Smitty but works great for rapid shots on steel. *** Only advice I would give is to load the magazine carefully using the supplied loader. It is a staggered mag and if you try to jam rounds in too fast it will cause misalignment and feeding problem. Trust me, I have experimented enough with mine before deciding to actually follow the instructions. With the magazine properly loaded it feeds and shoots quite well. It will go through a Remington bucket of ammo before you know it. Enjoy!!!2 points

Here’s the link for the mag extensions: https://shoptaurus.com/shop-by-model/pistols/taurustx-22/tandemkross-wingman-5-magazine-bumper-for-taurus-tx22 I will say the factory magazines are a little finicky in the fact that you need to kind of shake them a little at a close to horizontal angle to get them all to line up to feed. It’s second nature for me by now but newer shooters always say “this doesn’t look right”. They also feel super flimsy and cheaply made. Once you get the hang of it it’s a shake and a tap to align the bullets, tap and rack. Looking back on it I guess I’ve had this now since spring of 2021, cleaned tops 4 times and it goes out with me every time I shoot. I bought it second hand from my LGS as well. Early reviews commented on issues of the slide cracking or problems with the barrel. This thing has been a workhorse for me though, and glad I got the competition version to have two complete slides. By far gets the most use out of anything with a 10/22 taking second place. Awesome plinkers, good for those who are hesitant to shoot handguns to start on, overall no complaints.2 points

Moped, your correct on issues with the 22 for S D. A lot of people have been killed with the 22 Lr caliber and not many can deny that fact. The rub comes that they are not instant great stoppers. Most die from complications of being shot with a 22 later. I don't carry 22s for S D, but I would not hesitate if I needed to carry 22lr because of health reasons. The TX I have would be a little large for discrete Concealed Carry, however I supposed one who had a big need could manage that. I took my TX out again and am really liking this pistol. Nice trigger, accuracy, feels good in the hand, and really shootable. I would guess this one is going to get a lot of use, after it cools a little. After "maturity", I don't deal with heat quiet as well as I once did. Me and "Big Red" are quite comfortable with each other these days. I been doing quite a bit of hunting from B R, on the Outdoor and Sportsmans channel these hot afternoons. "Big Red" is my electric lifting Lazy Boy my wife purchased for me after bypass Surgery as I was unable to lift myself from a laying position shortly after they gutted me. She is small and would have been a large struggle for her to get me up. I slept in that chair for 30 days after surgery. My wife says she thinks I love "Big Red" more than her, sometimes.????????? Edited to add; I sleep really well with both.2 points

Very enlightening (not). Stop them before they do it. What a novel idea. Seems to me to just be another veiled attempt to push an agenda. No idea on whether there was a gun or not, but we will never know the real story.2 points

This is the first I have heard of armed presence at the school. Wonder about its truthfulness.2 points

I second that, RED333. Have plans to get out the new Taurus TX this morning while it is cooler. Have a good day. Also plan to eat some ribs..2 points

I read the story, that is something I had not heard of before about the 'armed presence". Or was it kept out of the press till Mr Prince said something about it? A lot of things are being kept from us about the shooting, some need to stay that way, some not so much.2 points

Looks like the NRA has finally taken a little action on their own and has filed suit against the ATF and DOJ. Jared over at Guns and Gadgets has a video up on YouTube with more detail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zzOdkNaw381 point

The sheath on the right was requested by a gentleman a while back for an Esee 5. He wanted the scales dyed as well. While he was waiting he sent word that he had given his grandson the same knife and wanted one built for him too. Then he saw a picture of a holster I had made for a friend of mine with initials on it, so he asked if I could put his grandson’s initials on it. I said sure, I’ll do that. A little later he asked if I could do an arrow with fletching and a flint-knapped broadhead. I said well I’m not sure but I’m a-gonna try it. (Plum skeered at that point) So the sheath on the left is the one built for his grandson. The picture below is the grandson’s sheath in the raw with a little bit of design on the belt loop. I’m not the artistic type so it took me a while to do all that. There’s still some things I don’t like about it and I’d very much love to be able to improve on not only adding designs, but everything I’m doing. I hope he likes them.1 point

Definitely a "Team Fanny Pack" guy here. They were quite normal back in the 1990's, and tend to come and go in use. I still have an older Desantis in my holster box in the basement/reloading area. I frequently wore one while in scrubs going to and from work even less than 10 years ago. It's amazing how much gear they can hold and how little attention the general public pays them. And pushing 70 no one pays much attention to my attire anyway. Might have to dig mine out. +1 to fanny packs!1 point

These look great Greg! Several years ago, I bought a handcrafted wallet. It's the most durable wallet I've ever owned. Honestly cannot tell that I carry it every day! And it's stuffed full of everything but photos and cash!!! Handcrafted the right way, wallets like these will far outlast commercially made wallets!!! Even those made by Maxpedition!!!1 point

@Scottythe mags do tend to feel flimsy, but they're not under that much strain. You can easily hold the mag back with your thumb, unlike a lot of other mags that have a thumb stud on them (thinking Ruger MK pistols). Thanks for the link! I think I will pick up one of these for testing purposes. You're right @pop pop, these are full sized pistols, but I can conceal one with some of the holsters I have for other 9mm service sized pistols. I think they are about the same size as a Glock 19, but lighter. For carry by someone that can't really pull back the slide on a centerfire pistol, or handle the recoil, I would think the new compact model, might be ideal. @Jamie JacksonI'm jealous! I had intended to go to the range today and shoot my new Roscoe (S&W Mdl 10) after I mowed! But I am pooped. Push mowing a steeply sloped yard at 60, is not for the faint of heart!!! As for carry, I typically EDC a Ruger Max9 with a CT1550 RDS or a LCP Max. The Max is seeing a lot of carry during the summer! I am thinking seriously about starting to carry a fanny pack so I can get away with carrying the Max9 more often. Being an old man now, I don't really care how it looks. Who am I trying to impress!1 point

Correction - 6 minutes. It was 14 minutes from when the 9-1-1 call was placed to shooter down. It took 8 minutes for them to arrive once the call was placed, but once on scene it only took them 6 minutes locate and dispatch the perp.1 point
-
I heard that there was an SRO officer at the school but did not confront the shooter because he could not tell where the shots were coming from so he remained outside till backup arrived. When the backup arrived it only took them 14 minutes to put the shooter down on the 2nd floor.1 point

We have a man who is running commercials, to get elected for Mayor of Nashville, who has included "Removing Illegal Guns," in his reddrick, from Nashville. I suppose that is his intent. Sounds good to the uninformed, but pure PoppyCock. This guy hasn't a clue how to accomplish this feat legally.1 point

I like the way he hammered TBI Director Rauch in Civil Justice Committee. I think he is going to be a big help in the House. Here are his thoughts on the Special Session and Red Flag Laws. (By the way he intends to run good legislation if the Governor opens chapters involving firearms}1 point

Many years ago I had a small part go flying out of a pistol I was working on. Despite my best efforts, I never did find it and had to order a replacement. Some 8-10 years later we bought another house and I was packing up my shop. I moved and old rolled up target on the top shelf and guess what fell out? My current shop has a number of small items hidden in its neither regions. Including a 1911 recoil spring plug that I swear went through the roof and is now in orbit.1 point
