I'll add an anecdote from a friend who had a problem with her PitBoss grill - the igniter was damaged during shipping and she didn't notice until she had the grill entirely assembled. She could have returned it and got a new one - but she decided to call the company instead. She told me that engineers from the company got on the call when she called customer service and helped her diagnose the problem, that once they found the problem they overnighted a new igniter and main control board, and that they called to follow up to make sure she was squared away. They sent her swag and called her a couple of months later to make sure everything was still good. She said it was the best customer service experience that she had ever experienced from any company she had dealt with.4 points

Lowes now does not man the checkout line much any more, the last time I was there I spoke in a loud voice, "Do we get a discount for doing yalls job". I got a few laughs from customers and a stink eye from a worker.3 points

Howdy y'all, S&W 28-3 Highway Patrolman. It was carried regularly years back, has been shot a bunch & is definitely shooter grade. Turn line, some holster wear along the barrel & frame but the lock up is spot on & it shoots and shoots and shoots. If anyone's looking for a N frame 357 to take out and shoot all day long, here you go. No box but I do have an extra set of Altamont grips for it & speed loader or two. $7002 points

If you are not a danger to society, then what good does incarceration do? If you ARE a danger to society, then why should you be let loose? Seems simple enough to me. For some folks, perhaps the old '30 days in the hole' would get them to change their ways. But, I don't see many folks who 've been in more than once changing their ways.2 points

I STRONGLY AGREE, sir. I have a real good friend who did something dumb ONE TIME when he was 18 and that felony has ruined his life. It was non-violent and like you said, he served his time over 40 yrs ago. What's the point of calling it rehabilitation, if we ruin their life?2 points

This is one thing my circle of people disagree with me about. If you serve your time, then all rights should be restored the moment you step out of that cell. If that's an issue with "The People", then the length of the sentence wasn't correct.2 points

I thought I'd show off some work that I had done to a spare grip module for my Staccato C2. A gentleman named Zach, who posts as "Grip-It-Customs_" on Instagram (do note the trailing underscore in his name) did this for me last week and I couldn't be happier. Not only is the texture that he laid down perfect for EDC use, but a byproduct of removing the factory grip texture is that the overall circumference of the grip is slightly reduced. Since I'm a size-medium glove wearer, this translates into making the gun really fit my hand better than it already did. And for comparison, this is an old photo of what the gun comes with from the factory... I really couldn't be happier. And since the grip modules on these, while not exactly inexpensive, are replaceable it's not like I have permanently altered the gun in any way. Anyway, I feel like this is an example of plastic surgery gone RIGHT. Lord knows we've seen some stipple jobs on TGO that, no offense meant to the owners of those guns, looked like someone's dog had chewed on them for a few hours.1 point

Wow. all three of my hives came through the winter fine. Two were very strong, one moderate (my oldest hive). I have had very low mite counts, almost ZERO hive beetles, no real issue with wax moths in the hives. They tried to get into my extra frames, but I was out of Paramoth. Maybe my bees took all their nectar. I do live in a part of Nashville that is covered up with Tulip Poplar, Red Maple and other good tree nectars.1 point

Good deal here. I have a PB grill and also a vertical smoker - they are very well built and easy to use. Buyer would not be disappointed.1 point

Sorry, no. I think Schofields are one of the ugliest pistols ever made. It's really a Colt clone I'm after. They just fit my hand so well.1 point

Been doing it for years. Make sure your first projects are for your wife. Prime the pump for the proper tools later. 1st rule: you can never have enough clamps. Check building sight for end cuts. They usually don’t mind giving them to you and there’s a ton of things you can make with them.1 point

Very sharp looking rifle. I have one in 308 and it's a beast. Any of the Featherweight's seem to be crazy anymore. Unless just rough most start around $800 and go up. For your purpose I think $1000 to $1200 is a solid number without scope.1 point

So, I had Zach do another one for me. This time I sent him a Brouwer Solutions M811 grip module for my Sig P320 and asked him to work his magic. The M1811 grip module is really nice but rather slippery in the hand. Brouwer offers a service where they will coat the grip panels with silicon carbide for extra grip, which would be ideal for competition use but a little severe for everyday carry. Rather than go that route, I had Zach stipple mine with the same texture that he put on my Staccato grip and... WOW... he knocked it right out of the park again.1 point
