Bike runs great, low mileage for its age (45k), comfortable, fast, will keep running for a good while. Garage kept by me and previous owner. Plenty of tread left on the tires. Comes with original hard bags, manually adjustable windshield, extra headlights, heated grips work like new. I would confidently saddle up and hit the road for any length of ride as is. Issues: In the interest of full disclosure I'm sharing everything that is "wrong" with the bike. Digital "3" indicator for 3rd sometimes appears, sometimes doesn't. Doesn't affect function at all. Fork seals could be replaced HOWEVER this bike has the BMW telelever suspension so the forks actually don't contribute to the suspension. If I was going to keep it I wouldn't even plan to change them for several more seasons (as long as there's still some oil in the tubes she's good to go). Asking $2000 CASH ONLY, face to face meeting in or around Mt. Juliet, no test rides without cash in my hand. Thanks.3 points

UPDATE: A neighbor heard about my problem when I posted on Next Door. He came over and found the problem in about 20 minutes. It was a blown 5a fuse in the fuse box. The fuse had been jury-rigged to power a radio that I never used. I removed the radio and all the wiring to it. I mowed for an hour and the problem never happened again. I guess a wire from the radio was intermittently shorting out and eventually blew that fuse. I think the fuse was to the OPC, whatever that is... maybe some sort of power controller? Anyway, my wife is happy that the field is mowed. I'm happy that I don't have to pay to get the tractor hauled to Colemans for repair. I left some tall grass for the deer to bed down at night. It was easy to tell where they had been sleeping. Thanks to everyone for your suggestions! This is a great place to get advice.3 points

One of my hobbies as a forensic scientist is going back and taking an in depth look at old cases - and being amazed at the ones we couldn't even bring to trial today much less get a conviction on because the "forensics" is garbage. So much legacy crime scene forensics is pseudoscience at best. Most ballistics, blood spatter, fiber analysis, is just garbage. Case in point - one of our most famous cases in Tennessee. James Earl Ray bought a Remington 760 Gamemaster in Birmingham that was recovered on the street - neatly wrapped up in a quilt - in Memphis. It was chambered in .30-06. A 30 caliber slug killed Dr. King on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel. Problem is - the fragments of the slug recovered from Dr. King absolutely don't match the twist rate of the aforementioned Gamemaster. The rifle that was recovered didn't kill Dr. King. Same with a famous case from my childhood in Atlanta - Wayne Williams - convicted of the Atlanta child murders. We couldn't even bring that case to trial today.2 points

Hell, you don’t even have to take a file to it. Just shoot it enough and it’ll change on its own through wear.2 points

Their good grips, and for the price you can't go wrong. I personally like and use VZ Grips with their Super Scoop Thumb Cut. Here's a picture of a Les Baer UTC that I had at one time that I had completely redone in Charcoal Bluing and Blue Nitride accents, I put a set of VZ Carbon Fiber Grips on it you can see the larger thumb cut that allowed me to reach the mag release easier.2 points

The Maryland Supreme Court has decided that firearms ballistic experts cannot give unqualified testimony regarding whether or not a particular bullet was fired from a particular gun because it’s just not scientifically possible. This is an excellent, excellent decision from a court striking at the junk science that comprises most of crime scene forensics.CSI may have been enjoyable television, but it’s also mostly science, fiction and fantasy. https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/marylands-highest-court-limits-ballistics-evidence-trials-1002867571 point

I have a crimson trace white light/green laser combo on one of my shields that I keep bedside. It’s just in a soft holster to protect it from scratches/dust, etc. I don’t carry it.1 point

A little late on my reply here, but, this looks like it’ll be a nice one. It seems that 10mm almost suffered a miserable death all those years ago when “somebody” decided it was “too powerful” and neutered it down to that shortened abomination. Seems like the venerable 10 just lingered in a sort of purgatory after that. I don’t currently own a 10mm but I wish I did. Like you, I just don’t want to reintroduce another caliber to have to feed. I’ve always looked at the 10 as one of the finest handgun cartridges ever invented. We’ve all had our opinions on which is the best semiauto cartridge and which is the best revolver cartridge, but I’ve always seen the 10 as one of the finest handgun cartridges in general. Just good overall. I’m glad to see it making a resurgence. I’d have a hard time seeing where anyone would be disappointed in that FN.1 point

I appreciate hearing what the final issue & fix turned out to be. Thanks for coming back @jgradycand closing the loop on this. I have a Toro ZTR mower doing the same as your tractor so I've been following this thread.1 point

Adding another paint job to the thread. Picked up a solid black Magpul Stock for my Savage 110. I liked the Accustock okay, no real complaints, same for the camo job on it. But I like this Magpul stock better and I like the paint scheme better as well. It’s Sunday morning and I got time to paint the barrel and break up the scope outline as well a little bit. This is how I wanted it to look from the beginning so I’m really happy with it!1 point

Hi, I was shopping for a 1911 CDR in 9mm (aging body). After considerable consultation and trials, I purchased a BUL 1911 CDR in 9mm. It was smoother than a Dan Wesson (at half the price) and for the past 6 months eats every ammo flawlessly except weird coated ones. Everything else I tried has zero FTF after over a thousand rounds. Its fit and finish is sweet and it racks easily. The only thing my gunsmith added was an ambi safety and a lighter magazine release spring (arthritis). The other heavily advertised popular brands I tried were HORRIBLE in comparison. The trigger is so smooth and the second shot so quick that this is my EDC if weather and wardrobe permit. I get $0 dollars for this but PLEASE try one before you commit to anything else. I’m a firearms instructor and get NO kick backs, but get no joy out of teaching students with suboptimal pistols.1 point
