If it were the case of a private individual or group buying and selling firearms for profit, I imagine that would have involved the ATF. My guess is the gunstore was underreporting income/sales and screwing the IRS. Those forms are transaction could perhaps be used to proof a certain number of sales in comparison to what they reported in taxes?3 points

New info: Story Here Lots of people were getting all bent outta shape because a gun shop was involved. Tons of speculation about government over reach, Biden, dems and whatever. Turns out its all about tax fraud. "The agents had a search warrant and claimed that Mr. Van Hoose underreported millions of dollars of income from his business, a claim Mr. Hoose vehemently denies." Current guess is that the 4473s are to prove more sales than actually reported. So untwist those panties folks. Ain't no over reach or conspiracies here.2 points

Hopefully the world collapsing around them will prompt people to see the left's true colors and start hearing that people are the problem, not the instrument…2 points

Come on guys. If you ever load with a Dillon, you’ll never use another. I’ve got a 550 that will not die. I’ve loaded enough 223 on it for 3 people doing serious shooting. Last year I bought a 750 to set up in 45 only and just the loader, strong mount and powder feed was nearly $1,300. This guy is taking a beating. I don’t think you could load enough to wear one out. If you have any issues with the Dillon, their customer service is first class. I broke a part on my 550 doing something stupid. I called, got to talk to a real human, wasn’t rushed. All they asked for was my mailing address. I asked for the cost. They shipped it for free!2 points

Turnip greens are delicious in my South Mississippi born opinion! Love 'em. I'm only growing bush beans at present and with my limited garden size I don't have enough production at one time to can. Buy certainly enough to eat on regularly. I only have one 16 ft fence section (that I've grown pole beans on in the past), but that bed has my tomatoes and cukes growing at the present. Once the cukes finish (and I make some bread & butter pickles) I may well put in some Half white runners. I completely agree, home canned green beans are outstanding.1 point

I’m the only one in the house who will eat turnip greens now that my older son married and moved away, so I don’t plant turnips. You should really try canning green beans. I much prefer them to frozen. We go through a lot of those and fried sweet corn. I was once excited to see “fried corn” on a menu somewhere. That was short lived when they brought out an ear of corn that had been dipped in corn meal and dropped in a deep fryer. Dude!!!1 point

@gregintenn You always have a beautiful garden and I look forward to you posting about it. Just a little envious OK a lot! You've got some great eating headed your way! My little raised beds are several weeks behind where I think they should be LOL It's been nice actually having some spring weather, but we are way behind on rain. Thankfully we finally started getting a good soak. As my beds are raised beds, space is at a premium obviously, and I am in a constant "crop" rotational state. My cukes are just now flowering and my squash and zucchini has just started producing. I ate turnips and greens 5 days a week for 2 weeks (I am originally from the Deep South!) and managed to put some in the freezer. I used their allotted space to plant more green beans and they are coming up well. I still need to work in some okra somewhere... I sure am looking forward to that first tomato sandwich! Soon I hope.1 point

A person can easily spend a lot of money on knife sharpening equipment and, to an extent at least, I feel that there is a reasonably good return on the investment if you care about your knives and really want them to be in the best shape possible. That said, a lot of knives have been sharpened over the years without much more than a steady hand and soap stone... so clearly the fancy stuff isn't entirely necessary. I have a KME sharpener that I've added some components to over the years and have never regretted spending the money on it. If I were sharpening knives as a source of income I might want something a little fancier, but the KME meets all of my expectations. Another option that has been greatly improved recently is the Worksharp system with their "Professional Precision Adjust" sharpener. It looks like they are restocking them today on their website, but will probably sell out quickly again given the popularity of the new system. Yeah I've looked into the wicked edge but there's no way I can justify the cost at this point. But it's AWESOME. I'm sort of answering my initial question with this comment but I'd guess since bushcraft / camping is my main motivation for learning this skill, I should probably go with learning freehand method. I think I'd have the patience to learn it but I clearly need to learn up on it a bit before purchasing.1 point

We have small squash, zucchinis, peppers, green beans, and cucumbers, and lots of green tomatoes, but none are quite big enough yet. Soon.1 point

Congrats! I've got a good bit of green Romas, Better Boy, and Best Boy but nothing ripe yet Hopefully in a couple of weeks. I am eating green beans, rutabagas, zucchini and yellow squash... but my favorite food from the garden is vine ripened tomatoes. A fresh tomato sandwich is a summer rite of passage.1 point

2008? I thought I was bad about hanging on to stuff! LOL I agree @Sleep profit. Compost pile or cows..I'd toss on my compost pile myself. I've used the below resource linked for a long time as they update the info. USDA and extensions are also useful. FWIW I have recently used commercially canned vegetables that were just shy of 10 years old. These had the solid lid seal and not the pull top variety. Those vegetables tasted fine, but I used them in making French Market soup. I have definitely eaten C-Rats that were Vietnam era issue in the late 70's to early 80's with no ill effect. C-Rats never tasted good anyway... Here's a couple of links. Hope folks find them useful. https://extension.usu.edu/preserve-the-harvest/research/storing-canned-goods https://nchfp.uga.edu/publications/publications_usda.html#gsc.tab=0 https://www.amazon.com/Ball-Complete-Book-Home-Preserving/dp/0778801314/ref=pd_lpo_sccl_3/146-2724270-6897436?pd_rd_w=C1Qw4&content-id=amzn1.sym.116f529c-aa4d-4763-b2b6-4d614ec7dc00&pf_rd_p=116f529c-aa4d-4763-b2b6-4d614ec7dc00&pf_rd_r=EABT29TGH6E0FC5SFXYE&pd_rd_wg=kHBPi&pd_rd_r=8f680c65-8bb4-4b59-933d-c373bf3f1d82&pd_rd_i=0778801314&psc=11 point

I'm not demanding change, I'm only asking for some consideration. Other forums, past and present, an -I'll take it- not only puts you to the front of the line but also OBLIGATES the buyer to buy. Today is the third time I've been completely ignored. First -pm- or first -I'll take it- should compel the seller to sell to that would be buyer. Thank you.1 point
