Still cleaning out the safe of hunting rifles I will not use. I bought this 5-6 years ago with the intention of hunting with it. Other rifles always seem to get picked over this one so it is up for sale. I have fired it and it shoots good. The scope does not come with the rifle but the one piece mount does. The prices of this model have kinda gotten expensive. The last 5 or 6 on Gunbroker all went for between $1100-$1300. This is in great shape. There is no rust or scratches on the metal. The wood has a couple little scratches from being hunted with. On the left side butt stock by the recoil pad there are two small splits in the wood as seen in the pics. Other than that it is in great shape. You can shoot both 375 Winchester and 38-55 in this rifle. This ammo is kinda hard to find. With the rifle comes 40 rounds Winchester and 8 rounds Buffalo Bore in 375 Winchester and 40 rounds Winchester and 30 rounds Buffalo Bore in 38-55. At current prices the ammo is 483.40. This package includes the rifle, one piece scope mount and 118 rounds of ammo. Current value is $1650-$1850. I will sell the package for $1350.7 points

In support of Kahrman's claim that you can shoot 38-55 ammo in a .375 Win chamber, check out Buffalo Bore's article on their website - https://www.buffalobore.com/index.php?l=product_list&c=1753 points

Good afternoon! New to the area as I've just been stationed here somewhat recently. Been meaning to thin the collection out as it's getting to be a pain to move. Been great meeting and talking with everyone here, this is a great site! SA 1911 9MM for sale - fun gun to shoot on the cheap. Pretty great condition and a nice looking gun. Comes with Crimson Trace grips (retails for ~$200+ based on a quick Google search). I think I have at least a few mags as well. I'm almost positive I have the original grips also. Haven't shot it in years so it has to go even though I like the gun a lot. Always kept coated in Ballistol. Fun fact - my little brother and I were shooting out in the NM desert and he hit a plate with it at ~400 yards. Disclaimer: It took us an hour and about 200 of my reloads a piece (and the gun was at a 15 degree angle) but he did it! So it's, uh...pretty much a sniper rifle. I was shooting a normal 1911 and it was at a 25 degree angle! Please be willing to meet in Collierville and be legally allowed to own a firearm. Thank you for looking! Priced firm and fair below what they go for on Gunbroker without the grips (actual bids!). Price: $6502 points

If someone leaves a negative feedback that is not factual, I think the moderators would want to hear about it.2 points

I purchased a coveted item on a resale that drew high interest. I responded within 13 mins, the only person who beat me was a very, very well established member that had the trade offer in hand just not exactly what the person was looking for. I really appreciated and respected the fact that the gentleman messaged me with a timeline and that it was mine. Invited me and mine into his home, and told me “if you wanted to sell this without XYZ, you could sell this for the same price”. He explained he turned down multiple higher offers. We’re talking multiple, much higher offers than I would pay at the time. Misses and I made a day out of it to pick it up. To this day it’s one of my favorites and when anyone comes over to shoot they all get a grin and feel the same. That was one of my earliest deals here and I really appreciated the gentleman agreement. I’ll always do the same moving forward. I’ve also been on the other end where I said “I’ll take it, pm sent” but couldn’t make it work with my work schedule to make it out until 5 days after and the person told me they were going to go with someone who was available then. They needed cash in hand. I completely understood. Always appreciated that deal mentioned above and I’ve had nothing but good things to say about the people I’ve met here. They haven’t all been exceptional but majority has and they’ve all been good people. Even had random people reach out to me offering something obscure that they didn’t need anymore for free and then turn down anything I offered to give them as trade. All that aside, if someone wasted my time on a meet or bails last minute I’d leave negative feedback to warn the next person. Overall super pleased with the TGO community. Glad I finally joined after years of stalking *(Left the people mentioned above anonymous, you know who you are).2 points

Just got these two in the mail yesterday. SPARTAN HARSEY w/ Viking Theme, and the other is a 1988 Winchester Brass Coin Struck Handle features a hunting scene on the front, and a 1912 12ga. Winchester Shotgun on the back, I've got a couple of other's that I've been collecting here and there when I can find them. Thanks for looking.2 points

Good morning everyone! This is a tough one for me but I am downsizing the collection. This is a 1952 Tula, all numbers matching as far as I can tell. Blueing is nearly perfect as is overall condition of the rifle - a few shellac chips is as bad as it gets! I shot it once and based on the cosmoline I found when cleaning it afterwards, that may have been the first/last time. I installed a firing pin kit at that time to prevent slam fires (Murray's Guns - original is included). I can't find an import mark but they can be really hard to find sometimes so it may very well have one. I'm not crazy about selling a rifle that is only going up in value but I think my Soviet collection may turn into just pistols! Comes with a manual ($7.95 value in 1990!). I also just realized that the cleaning kit is in the butt - first time I pulled it out as I didn't want to scratch the butt plate, so that's kind of neat. Not looking for trades as I am downsizing. Please be able to meet in Collierville, have ID, and be legally allowed to own a firearm. Thank you for looking! Price is $9501 point

Some things are best left in the past and never mentioned again. That name is a prime example.1 point

So, I had Zach do another one for me. This time I sent him a Brouwer Solutions M811 grip module for my Sig P320 and asked him to work his magic. The M1811 grip module is really nice but rather slippery in the hand. Brouwer offers a service where they will coat the grip panels with silicon carbide for extra grip, which would be ideal for competition use but a little severe for everyday carry. Rather than go that route, I had Zach stipple mine with the same texture that he put on my Staccato grip and... WOW... he knocked it right out of the park again.1 point

EDIT: 4 3/4" barrel is sold. 4" still available. Good morning everyone! New guy - just got stationed in the area and am selling a few guns as moving them is getting burdensome. Pair of Ruger Old Model Vaqueros with serials (non-consecutive) putting them at 1995 and 1999 date of manufacture. Color case hardening is beautiful and the guns shoot great. Smoothest actions I've felt on a Ruger single action. Barrels are 4" and 4 3/4" making them great for Cowboy action shooting. No trades as I am downsizing! Please be willing to meet in Collierville, have ID, and be legally allowed to own a firearm. Thanks for looking! $600 each or $1100 for both.1 point

You need to hook up with Handsome Rob. I think he's from your part of the world also. Temptations everywhere! I know. I caved in to many of them when I first found TGO. But I had a good job and income back then. lol. Now older, retired and no source of money to feed my habits.1 point

Just tell the wife it cleans jewelry. Just keep an eye on your diamonds. It can loosen then. This thing is no joke.1 point

Thanks to generosity of @TripleGGG I am happy to pay this item forward. He gifted me both a wireless and wired unit, I went with the wireless. This one has wire, power unit and flags. I can attest this method of containment is effective - set the collar on full blast and my German Shepherd learned quick. Per @TripleGGG this unit worked when he put it in his garage. Collars are available from Pet Safe, Amazon and most pet supply retailers at no difference in price. Able to meet in Greater Knoxville with trips to Chattanooga, Tri Cities and Middle TN, though not for 60 days or so. Pm or text eight six five nine one nine thirty-nine oh nine1 point

Ultrasonic cleaners are amazing. I used them in our fuel injection rebuild shop. What they could do with a set of nozzle tips was unbelievable.1 point

I suspect that I know which thread you're talking about. What was seen publicly was only the tip of the proverbial iceberg and the guy who started that thread had seriously lofty expectations, beyond the norm, of his fellow TGO members. He had a very flawed sense of entitlement, and no one was going to satisfy him without taking extreme measures. It has been rare for us to experience people backing out of a sale without good reason to do so. It has happened, but it is rare. Don't let the extreme minority sour your opinion of anything. No matter what lake or pond you fish in, your lure is going to float past a few turds beneath the waves. I made that saying up. It still needs some work.1 point

When buying I always add the phrase "pending actual inspection" when negotiating a deal. Some years ago I worked out a deal for a gun on Armslist and when we met, I found it wasn't in near as good of condition as the pictures suggested. I turned it down and the seller went absolutely ballistic! Cussed me up and down screaming "We had a deal!" Well sorry, but I saw it as his fault for misrepresenting the gun. OTOH If I'm selling, have worked out a deal and someone else offers more. Sorry the other guy was here first and I'll honor my word.1 point

John Wick movies. Various TV or streaming series. Basically, bandwagon riders causing the rules of supply and demand to skew heavily in favor of the liquor stores and wide profit margins. I'm to the point where if I discover a whiskey or bourbon that I like, I don't talk it up to anyone.1 point

If it’s a Milspec they are good guns.I consider them a step above any Tisas or Rock Island on the market.1 point

I’ve read that park rangers in that area advise people to wear noise producing devices such as little bells on their clothing to alert but not startle the bear unexpectedly. They also advise carrying pepper spray in case of an encounter with a bear. It is also a good idea to watch for fresh signs of bear activity and know the difference between black bear and grizzly bear droppings. Black bear droppings are smaller and contain berries and possibly squirrel fur. Grizzly bear droppings have little bells in them and smell like pepper spray.lol. I hope you find the right defense and don’t end up needing it, and have a great trip!1 point

My son and brother both live in Anchorage. They say almost everyone there Carries a 10mm high capacity Glock. I carry a .22 and make sure I’m not alone. Any trouble pops up I simply shoot who I’m with in the leg and walk away slowly.1 point

You need the biggest caliber handgun you are willing to carry, and can shoot, if you aren’t carrying a rifle or shotgun. I would prefer to carry both. However, people tell me the 10mm has a huge following in Alaska to the point 10mm ammo is as common as 44mag nowadays. Luckily for you the bears on Montana aren’t as big as kodiaks in Alaska. I think a 10mm semi made by a reputable manufacturer will serve you well loaded with the correct ammo.1 point

I have ZERO experience with grizzlies but I have a 10mm, 454 casull, and 500 S&W in the collection IF I were ever to venture out as you are going to . I think a 10mm is sufficient in that environment . Best of luck on your upcoming adventure !!1 point
